Carol, I think when you're friend speaks of "not knowing the real world if it bit them in the ass" is a bit wrong. I think it is the complete opposite---see the real world has bit me in the ass plenty of times-family drug use, divorce, bankruptcy,job loss, you name it, it's pretty much happened, and I know many of those things have happened to just about everyone I know that has a blog. Blogs are our escape, and yes some people are more fortunate and that's okay. Because they may have a big home, and lots of money, but what I have is an amazing amount of friends-personal,blog, high school, all kinds- and there is no amount of measure you can put on that. Some people may have more of one thing, but lack in another. That's just how the world is, I don't think blogs are the devil, it has allowed me to connect to soooo many poeple, that I probably would not have, and I have met some of my closest friends thru blogs. I always tell peeople, post on your blog what you want, there is no pressure, your blog is your personality thru social media. I don't know, that's just my take, I didn't think her comment was correct. (my ass is pretty much gone from real life!) LOL
