Two things: 1. I will no longer be updating this website. Reason...I'm currently conceptualizing, designing and (soon to be) building a new site that is going to be much more inline with my interests in photography and pop culture. I'll post the URL when it's up and running. 2. Listen... Continue reading

Staying on trend this week: pink is chic. Most especially this pink Vespa that's currently parked on the Upper East Side. Continue reading

Central Park was one giant, chic fitness center this evening. The crisp air and beautiful late afternoon sky brought in hoards of runners (myself included), cyclists, roller bladers, and the occasional skate boarder (my favorite) mixed in with a few small groups playing frisbee and soccer. The Boat House was... Continue reading

Yesterday was the NYC Gay Pride Parade. I caught this float passing by the Flatiron Building late in the morning. At 6pm Chelsea, Union Square, West Village and Soho were still in the celebratory spirit. The city was covered in rainbows and the Empire State Building was lit up accordingly... Continue reading

The subway and commuter trains in Manhattan are pet friendly (during off-peak hours and specific rules apply. Don't take this as authority. The Metro North staff loved Jasper - he is cute, little, sat on my lap and didn't bark.). Be forewarned: traveling with a cute creature of the canine... Continue reading

Words of wisdom chalked onto the NYC sidewalk. As the saying goes: if you're not feverishly chasing after your dreams, something is very wrong. Continue reading

Watching Running With Scissors this week has me on a 1970's inspiration kick. I've always been drawn to the styles, color and music of the 70's, but when I've asked my parents about what it was like being young adults in that decade they shrug and say it wasn't that great.... Continue reading

Inline with Valentino's Fall 2012 Ready-To-Wear collection, the temporary store window on Madison Ave. currently showcases leather and studs. Look look look: I sincerely hope Zara or Top Shop does a version of that clutch that would be, say... the tax equivalent of the Valentino. It's so good it hurts... Continue reading

A reminder as to why living in New York City is the best: On any given weekend in the summer just 10 feet from your door pops up a surprise street festival with an assortment of treats including watermelon, fresh squeezed pink lemonde, grilled corn, and marshmallows dipped in chocolate... Life lately in New York City by account of my phone: Highlights: The Empire State Building was lit like the American Flag for Memorial Day, a rainbow was in the clouds over East River during a thunderstorm. I want to dine at San Rocco merely because I love the vintage... Continue reading

Blame it on the (disgusting) heat wave we've been having in NYC the past few days. This morning Lindsey and I were discussing strange things. S t r a n g e. Among conversations of isotopes and protons, we determined that our kids' kids' kids will never need to carry... Continue reading

While almost everyone I know in Boston and NYC escaped the city for the weekend, (including Miss Lindsey Light who went to the Hamptons for a few days of bikini time) I stayed in Manhattan. Yes I did. I had an amazing dinner at Emporio, tinkered around, took photos and... Continue reading

I love love love this modern bride's style. She chose to wear a shorter white dress and bright red heels on her big day. Two elements that are less than traditional. And...she looks amazing and happy! Every modern bride should allow her own style to shine brightly on her wedding... Continue reading

Sundays. My favorite day of the week. I allow myself to sleep in until whenever, forgo working out, and indulge to my heart's content. In other words, I'm lazy as hell and lack discipline. Indulgences today included a stop in at 16 Handles, my favorite frozen yogurt buffet with 16... Continue reading

I love this dress in the window of Lisa Perry's Madison Avenue boutique. Her entire Jeff Koons collection is so fun and whimsical. A reminder that fashion doesn't always need to be serious, and that a cherry on top always makes things better. New Yorkers can visit the boutique at... Continue reading

When I first moved to New York City I was told to go to the Ramble in Central Park. Such great advice. The Ramble is a maze of green trails surrounded by tiny meadows and ponds filled with huge goldfish (I swear, saw them today and did a triple-take) .... Continue reading
