I am a huge Joe fan, and I especially admire his commitment to conservative principles. He understands the way the liberals view politics; that is, as war with a "take no prisoners" policy. He understands that they have NO desire in making nice or meeting anyone halfway, and phony shows of "compromise" are just a way to trick the gullible into enabling their bad policies. He also understands that for way too long supposed "Republicans" have been those very enablers, often for their own individual enrichment and empowerment. He would be great!

Stories like this one are why I consider IR a must-read destination every day. Thanks so much for posting! Keep up the great work!

Great post! We were talking about Dick "Eddie Haskell" Durbin on yesterday's show, and playing some of the soundbites from his disgraceful May Day appearance. It's amazing how people in the LSM let him continue to get away with his whole "reasonable, middle-of-the-road" guy act.

By Teri O'Brien - A couple of weeks ago on The Teri O'Brien Show, we, along with many of you, questioned the value of having people like the Tsarnaev family in this country. Other than murdering four people, and seriously... Continue reading

Patricia, If she is convicted, I think that's probably going to happen. And why shouldn't he, right? She's entitled as compensation for having to live in racist Amerika.

Here we go again. Whenever one of these low-information leftists decides to jump into the plasma pool and engage me, he can't resist the irresistible impulse to attack me personally. "Hon?" What does that mean? Unless you are a waitress in a diner, you shouldn't be calling anyone you don't know personally that should you? OK, leaving that aside, your comment is completely incoherent. The GOP "recovery" was planned to create a rotten economy so that they could lose the presidential election? Huh? The GOP House "pass the laws." You mean like the one law that is largely responsible for the current economic stagnation, Obama's horrific health care scheme?

Yes, let me second (or third) that. Way to go, Democrats!

We are all interested in hearing about the cultures where "marriage" included two people of the same gender. Please enlighten us, and be sure to cite objective sources with links so we can learn the error of our ways. I'm not sure what your "snob" correction adds to the conversation, but it does remind me of the sort of silly, nitpicking corrections I used to make as a precocious 12 year-old when grown ups said something that I discovered was technically inaccurate. I don't concede that you are correct, but it did remind me of that. Way to go, Brainiac! Please explain how quoting Sen. Kirk's own words constitutes any sort of "logical fallacy." The more you say, the more you sound like a sophomore studying philosophy, who has just earned a lot of new terms that he's dying to test drive. I don't need to call his office. I read his statement. How is anything I said rendered fallacious by quoting it?

As for the groundswell of support for this so-called "same sex marriage," see my comments here. Since when does the meaning of words that have been understood to mean something for thousands of years change because of alledged "trend lines?" "Poor man's Ann Coulter?" Seriously? Why must leftists ALWAYS resort to the ad hominem argument. I guess because their positions are so logically and intellectually bankrupt. So embarrassing. What does a "letter of consent," whatever the hell that is--I must not been in class the day we covered that in law school--have any thing to do with "who you love and who loves you back?" Isn't that the new test of what our public policy should sanction and even encourage? It is according to Sen. Kirk's statement, no?

Thornton, You are correct that Sen. Kirk is a fool, but I hope that your prediction about the future for Christians is wrong!

Thanks to you, Ron, for reading my piece and commenting. How many people do you think realize that 2 retirees earning $37k per yr will have to hand over an extra $1200 when they sell their house? Please help us spread the word. We still have a chance to get rid of this Obamacare scheme if we can take back the Senate in 2014.

Wait-a member of the Obama administration, a Chicago guy, lied? IR, you expect us to believe that?

Harsha, I enjoyed the movie, but I don't think it won because of how good it was. I think the Hollywood types who voted for "Argo" did so for two reasons, both of which reflect what a passel of self-absorbed, vindictive, envious and repulsive jerks they are; specifically, (1) it portrayed filmmakers as heroes--"yea us! We rescued the hostages!" and (2) many of them despise Steven Spielberg because he's so successful.

Publius, As I mentioned on yesterday's show, I think they brought back the blacklist for Zero Dark Thirty because it strongly suggested that those demonized "enhanced interrogation methods" so favored by the EVIL Bush administration actually helped make us safer. I figured Spielberg wouldn't win because so many people in Hollywood despise him because he is too successful. I haven't seen 'Pi" either. Looks like it would be boring, unless, you're a member of the Choom Gang.

Ed, For these two, military props are their third favorite kind, after #2 public employees (teachers, usually) and #1 children (kiddie human shields).

Patricia, I couldn't have said it better. It is ridiculous. I haven't been to Cuba or North Korea, but it's hard for me to believe that either Fidel or any of the members of the Il family are in their people's faces more than these 2. Do you think that this endless intrusion will ever backfire? That is, will even those in the cult finally decide "Enough!"

So true, Joe. You captured the issues with this state perfectly! You would have be re-elected if Rahm Emanuel and Michael Madigan hadn't created a district just for Tammy, more evidence of exactly what you so eloquently described. You are an inspiration to us all.
