Although the players are still the same, this Heat team is not the same as last season.
Agree or disagree?
(that's docB style)
ASK IRA: Is time running out for James Jones?
Q: We all know the Heat is cap conscious and that would seem to make a case for not wanting to eat the $2 million for each of the next three years it would owe James Jones by not picking up his options. But if he's just going to be an-end-of-the-bench player, wouldn't that make more sense than pa...
"The team is performing very well right now "
A mediocre team will beat worse than mediocre teams. Usually. Sometimes a mediocre team as ours, the MMM's, will beat a good team. Usually they won't. Sometimes a mediocre team like Miami will get beat by the scum of the scum teams. Can also happen, Normally, a mediocre team like Miami gets booted out of the playoffs with a mediocre record, first round. Just the facts, Jack.

Q: Hey Ira, why do most NBA analysts and experts have the Heat finishing in the eighth seed or not making the playoffs at all? What's your prediction? -- Israel.
A: That's about where I have the Heat, too, after predicting 41-41. I just think it's difficult for a team to make major strides when the focus clearly is on the future. It's not as if the Heat is going to make a trade-deadline deal in February to boost the team if it means cutting into next summer's cap space. And while the 2-0 start in encouraging, there also are some brutal road stretches down the line. So far, it’s only been lottery fodder."
Hush, hush, Homer kids.

Don't beat around the bush King Riley. You just claimed that Beasley will become a better scorer than Wade and that Dwayne is envious of Beasley's scoring prowess. Again, you're pitting these two as rivals and you want your boy Beasley to come out on top over W#ade.

they should not be rival but much like shaq and Kobe one will have to give way to the other. As Wade ages, beasley will start to gain the upper hand and his scoring abilities are undeniable!

That is still too far into the future man. You're getting ahead of yourself in a big way. Why don't you just savor the moment instead of whining and moaning for something that is not sure to happen?

Problem with these two phags, members of the Beasley smoker's club, hotleo and King Rilkey, is that they want to pit Beasley and Wade as rivals. That will never be good if both of these morons want to have chemistry between the two. Hypocrites.

had u bothered to read my posts from before I have never wanted Beas to be scoring leader. In fact I have wanted for Wade to go back to his old scoring averages during the shaq years of 24-27 pts a night with Beas scoring in the 22-23 range. What I do want to see is for Beas to carry the load early and have Wade pick his spots and go for the kill much like Shaq did with Kobe and later with Wade! It preserves Wade and makes the offense more multi faceted! I think that winning that damned award is akin to a the scourge! It makes teams stagnant in offense due to all the watching and Iso plays that go on! Then again ur not the sharpest tool in the shed Willie-pino! By the way, it's in print if u bother to look it up dumb phock! By the way, I have been slightly critical of Wade but by no means have I bashed him tonight! I have even commended him slightly is again, u bothered to read!

I like this team, with the low post presence it has right now. Completely different from early last season. I'm already convinced of JO being in good shape and form. The way Wade is playing right now, scoring points silently, that's a very good sign. This team will go deeper into the playoffs that's for sure. And JO has to do is to stay healthey.

All of the greats fall in love and chase scoring titles in their prime be it Kobe, T Mac, Shaq, Lebron, Dirk, Jordan, Wade, Iverson, and now Melo. The scoring title is the most prestigious title and one that can destroy a locker room like Shaq and Kobe. Kobe always resented Shaq for getting scoring titles. All of these player are winners but u can not argue the prestige of the award. Stars are made because if scoring and to Wade the future represents a threat in the form of Beasley taking away his post as the best scorer on the heat team......which I predict will happen in three years. Beasley will become a better scorer than Wade, mark it down!

King Riley, your true colors finally emerged. You 're just jealous of Wade being the scoring champion because you want your boy Beasley to win it instead. All your complaints have nothing to do with Wade being a great player but rather Beasely not becoming the scoring champion.

If I'm a Beasley fanatic, I will hope and pray about his well-being off the court, that he will not go back to his old ways again. That to me is way more important than complaining about Haslem's minutes.

Does Spoelstra think he's helping things by saying that moving Haslem to the bench was "a difficult and uncomfortable decision"?
Answer:
If I remember correctly, it was Spoelstra himself who said that Beasley is better suited to play the 4 spot despite claimed by others including me that Michael is better off at small forward. He saw it right then and there that someday Haslem is bound to come off the bench. What made the decision difficult was maybe due to Wade who is very comfortable playing with Haslem as the st6arter.
ASK IRA: Is Wade in Beasley's corner?
Q: How will Michael Beasley ever succeed in Miami with comments like this from Wade: "I'm sure there are going to be times I'm out there and will say, 'Get Udonis in and sit Michael down.' " -- Lance. A: Because Michael then will watch what makes Udonis a finisher and hopefully emulate that down...
Lol. The Heat played that way only because they're more concerned about the box-office. It will not serve them well if the Knicks blew them out of the arena.
Heat 115, Knicks 93
Observations from Wednesday's 115-93 victory over the Knicks at AmericanAirlines Arena: A rough start for Dwyane Wade, who shot 2 of 9 in his six-point first quarter. He was 4 of 12 in an 11-point first half. For once, he wasn't positively essential against the Knicks. He eventually warmed up, ...

Examining from the waiting room
OK, here's the deal: Erik Spoelstra does not want to name his starting lineup until just before Wednesday's season opener against the visiting Knicks. Makes sense. Why have to answer questions before they need to be answered? So we went ahead and asked questions. Quentin Richardson (pictured belo...
