This is just slaying me. I'm a total teary mess right now. Thank you for sharing this. I am absolutely stealing your dad's line "I don't care if you don't want me, I'm yours."
I am really excited to see that movie! I just wanted to pop in and tell you how incredible your brownie recipe is....I will never use another recipe again, it is perfection! I mentioned it today in my blog...http://wishingstardesigns.typepad.com :)Best Wishes, Janet

Hi Alicia! My mother taught me how to sew and embroider when I was little and then I also had a jr high home ec class where we had to make a few things. For many years I didn't really do anything with it. I've always been much more comfortable with hand sewing and embroidery than with the machine. I am trying to make friends again. :) I made my son Jake a quilt and have a whole list of things I want to make (napkins, curtains, pillowcases). I've even bought some clothing patterns to give that a try again. Sewing and embroidery really make me feel close to my mom who passed when I was 15 and I love the feeling you get from making something on your own instead of just buying it from a store. :)

I would like to have a conversation with an elephant and ask exactly what they do remember. I would tell him or her that I think its nice how they form a circle to protect their young. I would ask if all that mud on their skin gets itchy and if they ever get a stuffy nose. P.S. I seriously love these posters and would love to hang them in my little boy's room! Thank you!

Chalk me up for dorkdom too! :) It's good to be a dork...we are far more interesting than non-dorks. lol And by the by...I haven't even seen Star Trek yet and I am already hot on the new Spock. Alright...I waited til the last minute but here are my answers to your questions (those coasters ROCK btw! and I NEED a Sawyer peg doll!) 1. The incident is the release of the magnetic energy either through the Swan or the bomb...I think this will cause a time shift, flinging our 815ers back to their own time. 2. I am sorry to say that I think Juliet is toast. 3. Therefore I think Sawyer will be kissing and crying over her dead body. 4. Bonus..What lies in the shadow of the statue? I think they want us to think that its the bomb because of the temple...but I don't think so. I think Jacob's grave lies in the shadow of the statue. Can't wait!!!!

Absolutely you can complain! That's what friends do...they listen and you certainly do have some legitimate gripes...big and small. Usually I find that when the big stuff is out of whack...all the little things are more magnified. That person who answered the Yahoo query? Total a-hole. Who the hell isn't grateful for having a well child? Jeez..that's not what mother's day is about. Its about validation. It is about the people in your life finding ways to thank you and appreciate you and give you some time to be your own person. I know your hubby is sharing the same tough times and it sucks on top of it to be hurt but that doesn't prevent him from giving you what you need, which is not something material but validation. You need to talk to him and you need to call for a mother's day do-over. Remind him that father's day...just around the corner! Remind him that you need validation sometimes...we all do. While everybody's situation is different...we are going through some tough financial issues of our own. This is a frightening time! The best you can do is work together as a team and try to find all the little bright spots and triumphs that you can and celebrate the hell out of them. Balance that positivity with the right to absolutely complain your heart out to those who care about you! If I have said this to you before, I apologize for being repetitive but this is my favorite quote that gets me through alot of crap... "Everything will be fine in the end. If its not fine...its not the end." Keep on keepin' on sista! XOXO

Such a pretty trail! I don't wanna freak you out, but you should be aware that I am pretty sure that snake is a copperhead. They are poisonous so just be on the lookout if you go there again.

Tollipop Family I think its marvelous that you are getting into the spirit early. Its refreshing actually. I'm so tired of hearing people grumble about Christmas. Especially this year! So much to celebrate. :) Christmas should last as long as possible in my opinion. I already have a couple of things up on my mantel AND I've started singing Christmas carols to Jake. :) Beautiful poppets!! xo Janet

Dear new friend I am sorry I am a day late but.... HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY...HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY...Happy Happy birthday to you!!!! Jake had a slight fever (all is well now) and the last 24 hours have been a blur. But I am glad to hear you had a great day! I wish I had learned an instrument. My dad tried to teach me guitar but alas...he had little patience and I had little finger pain tolerance. I have his two guitars and a banjo....maybe Jake will be the picker in the family. :) MWAH! Hugs to you doll! Janet
