Hi Kay! The price of the weekly Navigo Deoouverte is €19,80 as of January 1, 2013. The price of a carnet of 10 individual tickets has also gone up a bit to €13,30. The official RATP site still limits info in English to the tourist products. Check out www.vianavigo.com for current details in English on transport in Paris.

@SJ, lucky you! I don't think the base Navigo pass is available through a machine, but that could have changed in months since my last visit. The Navigo base pass is good forever. Just make sure you preserve both parts, the ID portion and the hard plastic pass itself. I managed to lose the actual pass and so had to get a new one this year.

Better to pay the 5 Euros upfront than be fined for traveling without a valid ticket. The card is good forever. I keep mine in my passport case for future visits.
