I have decided that I am leaving the blogging world. This blog will be taken down by the end of the month. It's been fun while it lasted and I have enjoyed reading and interacting with other bloggers but the time to move on has come. Goodbye & take care! Will miss you much! Continue reading

Thanks John! I'm finding I really have to keep more of an eye on her lately. A couple of days ago she mistakenly took too much of her medication and had more worried to death! Look forward to connecting more when things get settled down :-)

Isn't it sad how easily we tend to forget all the good things other people have done for us? How easily we become so self-centered that we lash out, if only for a moment, because we asked an otherwise very giving person for a favor and they tell us that they don't have the time. I've have been witness to so much of this kind of selfishness lately, as well as a victim of it, that it has been hard for me to concentrate on much - let alone give any attention to this blog. In the midst of much... Continue reading

With just about a month to go before we have to move my uncle we opted to build him a small apartment off our garage. This is a view of the progress from my front yard. Thankfully the weather has held out as far as rain but it is getting a bit chilly. I'm desperately hoping his own son and grandchildren will step up and help get him ready to move. My mom was feeling a bit lightheaded this morning so I took her blood pressure. It was 142/67. Although her Diastolic is about normal for her - her Systolic... Continue reading

Things have been pretty hectic around home lately and I haven't been able to get much done other than caring for my parents and my uncle but I just had to get the word out about the Tyson Foods Hunger Relief campaign. All you need to do is visit the link above and copy a hunger fact into a Twitter tweet! Tweet or retweet any of them with the hashtag #HChal and Tyson Foods will make a 100 pound donation (up to a total of 100,000 pounds) to the San Francisco Food Bank. Blog about this effort and they will... Continue reading

First of all I would like to thank all those that showed me so much support in my last post... Vicki @ FrugalMomKnowsBest Donna @ Cute As A Buggy Karen @ My So-Called World It really touched me to read your kind words - Thank You! The deal fell through with the house across the street. Even though the owner had agreed to a price, on the day of signing the contract the owner called to say he had to take a higher offer. The offer he took actually cost more than one person thousands of dollars because they had... Continue reading

I have noticed that I am grinding my teeth again. I am so stressed right now with trying to get this years harvest put up, catering to my parents company, taking my uncle to doctor appointments and trying to raise a kid. Today I have to take my uncle in for cataract surgery. After his surgery I will have to alternate eye drops in his eye for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow will be more drops throughout the day - just not as close to each other. This is on top of the catering service I provided yesterday for... Continue reading
