I've resolved never to touch alcohol myself (bad family history) but I'm finding it awesome that brewing can be such an interesting hobby. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it!

I read this post, and as I read it I tried to imagine myself in Wil's position being mobbed like that. Maybe it's just because I'm up way too late but I'm literally almost in tears. (

I don't normally comment but since you asked, yes, this is my first time reading this one. ;) I felt bad for poor Young Wil (as I have oh so creatively named him) but it's good that Less-Young Wil is living a good life and knows it, despite perhaps a few regrets. =) And the last line made me crack up. XD

Wil Wheaton has earned the title "Kind Of A Big Deal." (Sorry, couldn't resist. I've been playing too much Guild Wars and they have a whole set of titles that are Anchorman references.)

I know the feeling. For me turn-based combat has its ups and downs, both in RPGs and turn-based strategy vs. RTS. It just depends on what I'm in the mood for really.

Pokemon is turn-based, yeah.

Your journey to the Dark Side is complete! *evil laughter* No, but seriously, Pokemon White is the first game in the series I've bought since the Ruby/Sapphire days (I was a junkie as a kid) and even though I'm only in my early 20's I felt the same way when I went to pick it up.

I think he was going by this quote: “It would appear that the emissions are 10 times higher. We understand it as a calculation error,” TSA spokesman Sarah Horowitz said in a telephone interview. It sounds like she may have meant to say "the emmissions on the form" but Wil interpreted it as "the emissions from the machine." I almost thought the same myself until I re-read the part that says "would imply energy outputs that are unachievable by the Secure 1000 Single Pose."

I don't really see how GP's end of the exchange can be explained by anything other than maliciousness or incompetence. Sadly that doesn't surprise me, because Gamepolitics has gone to crap since Dennis left (which depresses me on a regular basis as I used to LOVE that site).
