Yup, when all else fails, start a war! I've always believed that the best course for Israel would be to seize ever increasing chunks of Gaza turning them into buffer zones to decrease the range of Hamas rockets. If that's not workable or pragmatic, then I have to agree with you that Israel must sever all aid and force Hamas to look to Egypt for any of their needs.
