Had some leftover onions and french bread. So opened a can of tuna fish, mixed it with red onions and mayonnaise, and will eat with canned corn. Great lunch, or quick dinner for a second draft rewrite! Continue reading

Writing is a singular activity, not in the way it's unique or exemplary but separate, by oneself, alone. This may be obvious to some, or intuitive for others, but for me, I didn't have any concept of how lonely it would be to embark on a novel. Continue reading

Today I did my eight hours in front of the computer, and just completed one scene, totalling about 2000 words. There are times, when I just am not expressing what I am feeling, and it takes time to fix the sentences until it makes sense. I wonder if other writers go through that, if they rewrite sentences over and over until it sounds right to them. I think for me, it's really the difference between me being okay and being good.
