I plan on going next year, you'll come just so I can say hi and give you the Iron Guard Salute right? Just because I asked nicely?? :-D
i have the heart of a dragon (no, really, i do)
Home from GenCon. Happily exhausted. I killed a dragon with one hit. Now, it's time to sleep for two days.
Some pictures of Wil and his Staring Contest win from the guy behind them in line, note not me but a good friend of mine took the pics and its his blog. :-)

Haha! Larry am I the only one that envisions legions of fangirls wanting to make out with Wil Wheaton mannequin? Awkward!
Game on: GenCon info, chapbooks, and dice. Lots and lots of dice.
I leave for GenCon in about 3d12 hours. While I'm not thrilled about getting up at 4am on Thursday, knowing that the reward for dragging myself out of bed at areyoufuckingserious o'clock is three days of gaming and geeking makes it all worthwhile. I'm blessing dice, taking pictures, and signing ...
Its Wil's body and health, he has every right to protect it as best he can, especially since he has a lower immune system.
"Cauldrons of Disease" Agreed. Penny Arcade said it best. :-)

Next year Wil, I will be there and happily give you the Iron Guard Salute!

Awesome, my wife and I JUST watched Tron last night. It was the first time she had ever seen it, and it had been almost 20 years for me. I loved it and so did she!
we have always been at war with the mcp
A couple of nights ago, Anne and I spent over an hour watching cold war propaganda and education films on the Internet Archive. Those movies are just fascinating to me, and I've often wondered what it would have been like to live in the world portrayed within them, as opposed to the way the worl...
Lol! I definitely didn't get the reference at all, but I laughed at the antics and very much enjoyed it for the entertainment value of seeing you 'singing' and dancing in that wig Wil. :-D
one of my favorite moments from PAX East
This is what happens when Paul and Storm and I Get Excited And Make Things: I forget precisely how this whole thing came together, but I remember Paul showing me the video, which prompted some sort of "this is the most amazing thing I've seen since the last time I said that" response from me...
Excellent! I can't blame them for creating their own game, it would be a lot easier, and funnier, to deal with a rule set that was totally under the control of the show.
Did you guys get to hang out after shooting?
My wife and I loved Evil Wil, we watch that episode often. :-)
Wow, nice shirt . . . Moonpie.
I love that this line has been immortalized in T-shirt form , not only because it's one of the funniest in the episode, but when we were rehearsing the scene it comes from, I grew a level in comedy acting: During one of the run throughs, when Jim did his Klingon bit, I turned to Kevin and as...
Did you get to actually play any Magic or similar games?

Thanks for the brilliant idea Wil! I am now happy to say that I'm drinking earl grey tea from my hawesome new mug. My wife rocks!
Hey look! It's the Memories of the Futuremug!
It turns out that all this talk about getting excited and making things, uh, got me excited to make something. I don't remember the precise moment this hit me, but I'm pretty sure it happened during one of those times I felt stuck on a story or something, and decided to get out of my office and ...
You know you're going to have to mail one of those to Patrick, right Wil? :-D He seems like he'd get a kick out it. :-)
I've put it on my Christmas Wish List e-mail that goes around my family. Thanks for an awesome gift idea, I hope I get one!

To all of you Men and Women who have and are serving our country, "Courage is fear holding on a minute longer. -George S. Patton"
Thank you for holding on a minute longer!
you can relax on both sides of the tracks
I've struggled for most of the morning to come up with some profound and lyrical way to mark the day, but the words I usually find so easy to command just refuse to reveal themselves ... so I'm just going to keep this post simple and to the point: Thank you, veterans, for your service.
Ugg Wil, I'm so sorry to hear about Ferris, my wife always got a kick out of it when I would read your Ferris stories to her. :-( Our thoughts are with you and your family.
through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes
My dog Ferris, who was rescued from a bus stop in Monrovia by my wife Anne almost exactly 8 years ago, had a heart attack and died this morning. It happened very quickly, and I was with her, which is supposed to make me feel better, but at this moment all I can feel is nearly-unbearable sorrow, ...
Happy Birthday old man!
ah, to be young again, and also a robot
I'm 37! I'm not old. Also: Happy birthday to me!
Oy.. I just got Rick Roll'ed by Wil Wheaton... Definitely a proud moment. Can't wait to tell my wife. :-)
...and the livin' is easy.
Hey, remember when I posted stuff in my blog every day and we all had a good time while learning? It's a distant memory, but if you squint, you may be able to pick it up. Anyway. It's summer, I've been working on awesome projects that I can't talk about, finishing up awesome projects that I've t...
Excellent! Thats great considering my local Blockbuster isn't carrying it.. :-(
Thanks!!
LEVERAGE: day five
"It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Wil Wheaton," the assistant director said. I threw my hands up in the air and yelled into the sky: "NOOOOOOO!!!" I sadly rode back in the van to base camp, packed up my stuff, said my goodbyes, and took my time walking through downtown back to my...
Agreed, Wil I'd never heard of the show until you blogged about it. I caught a couple clips and I plan on going to Blockbuster tonight with hopes that they have it on DVD. :-)
I hope to have caught up by the time your episode shows!
Matt

Thanks for the link to geekdad, they had some other really good articles to read as well as the D&D one. They also had a fun little post about you Wil. :-) http://blog.wired.com/geekdad/2009/04/free-wil-3.html
there is said to be a demi-lich who still wards his final haunt
Edits on Memories of the Future are coming along quite nicely. It's always a good sign when I'm having fun and enjoying myself, instead of gnashing my teeth and pacing around my office listing all the reasons I suck and should never pick up a pen again in my life. (It happens more frequently tha...
There also is the Detroit Metro Comic Con this May, too late for this year, but would you consider it for next year? I would definitely go!
i'll be at the emerald city comicon in seattle this weekend
I'm going to be in Seattle this weekend for the Emerald City Comicon. I had a blast at this show last year, and I've been looking forward to coming back ever since. I'm coming up a day early to do some media stuff to help promote the con, so if you live in Seattle, you can hear me on KISW 99.9 i...
Wil, its truly been a pleasure reading these posts about your game with Nolan and his friends. It really encourages me in my own ideas and pursuits, I think I may need to break out a short story I started to write few years ago and fine tune it. :-)
Thank you so much!
Matt
and so the campaign begins... (Part III)
Last weekend, I started a 4E campaign for my son Nolan and his friends. The plan is to take them through the entire Keep on the Shadowfell module, and then probably into Thunderspire Labyrinth, with possible detours into various level-appropriate Delves, or something from Monte Cook's awesome ne...
Hannah Montana.. *shudders*
of angels and angles
I recently had one of those "so crazy it just might work" ideas, and I was at a meeting very, very late last night talking about it. When I got home, the entire house was asleep, but my dogs (who must believe that I'm never going to come back every time I walk out the front door) ran laps around...
Awesome, I like the slight kickback to classic Bat. I really enjoyed it, can't wait to see it!
video preview clip from fall of the blue beetle
As promised yesterday, here's a preview clip from Fall of the Blue Beetle, which airs this Friday, January 23 at 8pm on Cartoon Network. Rather than use up all my bandwidth hosting it myself, I'm using this embedded player that Comicmix has kindly made available. Check it out: Feel free to put...

I'm not going to lie to you, Marge ...
...even though they're my friends, and it shouldn't make me squeal like a little girl, I still squeal like a little girl whenever I get mentioned in Penny Arcade.
Hanson... ugg, I had a roommate in college that liked Hanson. We were only roommates for one semester.
fantastic blog for game masters, dungeon masters, and rpg fans
Google Reader: Hey! You're totally going to like this blog, you should read it. Me: Oh really? Like I was going to like that other blog you suggested? Google Reader: Hey, that's not my fault. My algorithm, it can sometimes be ... wonky. Me: It was a porn blog, Google Reader, and a poorly-written...
Truly, an awesome womanly scream from that young man. I'd be impressed if anyone could beat that scream.

Sandwiched between Sutherland and Ludacris. Not a bad place to be, good job Wheaton. :-D ;-)
