Coincidence is always a great thing, especially when it comes to LEGOs.
Bricks…
As an adult and parent striving to help my son pick up LEGO bricks he missed from the floor, it amazes me to think back to my younger days and how much more dexterous I was and capable of easily peeling up those colorful bits of plastic from hard flooring and carpets. These days? Thank you, Ro...
Here is another movie that I have seen so many times that I should have taken a guess at this one.
MaMo 2022.02…
Sorry about this being late. I just wasn’t feeling like taking a photo last night. I was comfy in bed when I remembered I needed to snap it and… well… The winning guess is gonna be split between my brother and my friend Mike since I can’t tell which guess came in first. How about this one? Be ...
I am bummed that I missed this one. Fletch was one of my often watched movies for many years.
MaMo 2022.03…
I’m always disappointed that more people aren’t on the Fletch bandwagon. Alas, only two correct guesses that I saw. That movie deserves so much more credit and appreciation than it seems to have. So DJ (@storywrtr on IG) got it, but don’t you “forget” to guess this next one… See you in 7, M...
Appropriate posting a LEGO subject blog post on the 64th birthday of the brick.
I approve of any Roy Kent GIF.

For your personal MacBook Pro, I would go no further than macOS Big Sur 11.6.2. It's pretty stable and there are not a lot of new changes that Monterey has made. For the most part, I've seen several issues and articles on Monterey and trying to get fixes and stability changes in place.
Curious, what macOS version is your personal MacBook Pro at?
Monterey…
So I finally started this last night… My upgrade on my work MacBook Air from macOS 11.5 Bug Sur to 12.1 Monterey. I was hesitant to do it because I’m just naturally scared of OS updates as a rule and I guess I’m accustomed to being forced to wait by IT departments making sure all legacy softwa...
First off, I am no fan of the current Rogan. News Radio Rogan, Fear Factor Rogan and UFC post fight mic guy Rogan are all what I like. This BS conspiracy theorist Rogan is a POS.
As for the Neil Young/Joe Rogan/Spotify battle, I would like to see Spotify post disclaimers about the content. Not censorship but at the same time, making at least some kind of statement that the BS Rogan keeps posting is his own words and they do no endorse it.
Young obviously has his stance and as of today, his music is leaving Spotify. I like Neil Young and most of his music. But sometimes he can play that hard line that ignores speech of others, even if it is vile and disgusting on many levels.
Tu(n)esday: Neil…
An interesting bit of news came down the pipeline today and I wanted to weigh in on it. Veteran rocker Neil Young of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and the wet dream of indie and grunge rockers everywhere has said he wants his music removed from the streaming service Spotify. Why? He doesn’t want ...
One of these years (maybe for the end of 2022) I will start blogging a year end for movies and TV shows. I like that you and Dave2 have done this for years.
I was late to the Ted Lasso game, but quickly embraced it after watching both seasons. So good. We shared our like of the "Rainbow" episode on Twitter. Can't wait for Season 3.
On your movie list, I've seen Luca and Dune. Didn't make it to the theater to see Spider-man yet. The other movies on your list will have to be watched via streaming (as some are already out)
K7: Video '21…
For my final year-in-review list, I present Kevin's 7: Video '21!!! Upon review, it was actually far easier than I thought to find seven shows and movies to populate my lists. I considered at one point, combining them into a single list. But, man, that was a tough thing to pare down. So... one p...
I was refunded that same day they cancelled (it was through Eventbrite.com). Now just have to wait for them to announce a new date (hoping for when it is warmer here)
K7: Audio '21...
Some of my longtime readers may be looking at the title of this post wondering what the heck is going on. "Audio '21"?? Not "Music '21" or "Podcasts '21" or something like that? Nope. I'm consolidating my efforts with the Kevin's 7 year-end awards shows. No need to have five red carpets when you...
I would have seen them twice, but they had to cancel their SLC date earlier this month due to snow storm coming from Denver.

CHVRCHES also did well with Dave2 as it is on his list (out today, as is mine)

I'm ok with the consolidation of Audio, Video and Words.
As for audio music, CHVRCHES "Screen Violence" is going to be a part of my yearly Top Albums post on my blog.

And a Happy Birthday wish via a blog comment (in addition to the other wishes via other digital communication avenues)

I'm up to my John Lynch year... 'Nuff said.
Wow. 15 years. For me, it's coming up on 3 years since Dave2 had an in person event here in SLC.
TBT: Davecago…
I don’t remember if it was the first, second, or third edition of it, but today marks the 15th anniversary of Davecago, when a bunch of bloggers got together in Chicago to hang with Dave 2. I haven’t seen Dave 2 in person in many years and I feel the need to change that. Miss that d...
Congrats to you. Sounds like a good company to land at.
Confession…
I dunno if y’all have noticed but I’ve been dropping a few hints here and there about a change in how things are happening around here. I’ve hesitated talking about it until it was so beyond official that I was already two days deep in it. I started a new job yesterday. I’m working with an ...
I don't believe it does. They are in the same chilled area as the kombucha drinks at the grocery store.
SCOBY…
I’ve been aware of Kombucha tea and have wanted to try it for some time. However, because of the price of individual bottles and a lack of desire to buy a large pack of them, I held off actually doing it. Until a couple months ago when I just decided I may as well get it off my list. So I bough...
Yeah, my time with Mac laptops is around 6 years. This one turns 6 years old in June so a replacement is being planned. It still works great, has had a couple of repairs (battery replacement and keyboard replacement). It might be years before the replacement gets a sticker.
Stickers...
Kim posted today about her unused sticker collection asking what others do with stickers they may have laying around. I responded in her comments, but also mentioned that I'd post photos of how I use them. So here goes... Laptop I have a ton of stickers on my laptop. Only after I started putting...
Wow. Such a great sticker collection. I have a lone sticker on my 2015 MacBook (which I blogged about here http://www.banalleakage.com/2020/12/02/my-first-laptop-sticker/ )
I might add more, but still not sure on that at this time.

My daughter likes kombucha a lot. I've tried it, but not to my liking. There are some probiotic drinks that I have every so often but limited to lime and cherry flavored and only one brand (Kevita)

I missed out on guessing this one.

Christa B. got last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday with Inglourious Basterds. Great film. I love it insanely. This next challenge photo features one of the widest smiles in modern Hollywood. See you in seven.
I use Libby, but the format of how the pages are is a tad confusing depending on the title. I admit to preferring Kindle for library ebook borrowing. Libby and Overdrive are better options for audiobooks.

When it comes to electronic asset checkout from my library, they offer two different apps for this purpose... they are Overdrive and Hoopla. I used Hoopla for a bit because the app worked when compared to Overdrive. Then Overdrive was improved and made all the flaws in Hoopla shine brighter tha...
With Chris having been gone 4 years now, this post is a sad timing of his immense talent.
Outshined...
While listening through a playlist full of Chris Cornell-related music, I started really getting into the Soundgarden track "Outshined." So into it, in fact, that I wouldn't be surprised if there are videos on the web somewhere featuring that "crazy, bald guy headbanging and dancing in the local...
The Bowie and Chris Cornell books have me curious.
Libroqueue 2021.05...
Wow! I did it! I actually did it! What "it" did I do? I hit my Libroqueue goal for the month, as well as the stretch goal I added in a few days later! Once I dumped that book that wasn't speaking to me and added another graphic novel I stumbled across, here’s the full list of what I planned to r...
Great MFS song choice for RHCP. I bought Mother's Milk on CD at Tower Records in Las Vegas a few months after it came out (also my first RHCP album) and played the hell out that album for a long time. This album also started the great lineup that continues on today (after many guitarist changes over the last 25+ years).

Back in 1989-90, during my freshman year of high school, I bought my first Sony Discman and hooked it up to a cassette boombox I owned to be able to play and collect compact discs for the first time. And while I remember this time well, I can never quite remember which was my first CD... was it ...
I love those Taco Flavored Doritos. Glad they are a regular item in the chip aisle.
I've had that Pepsi Throwback before. It's pretty good.
TBT: Throwbacks...
Apparently May 2011 was rife with food and drink throwbacks and I indulged in a couple. Now I’m craving some more of those Doritos!
I almost missed it here. And I have a blog focused on this subject (will get back to regular posting there soon)
Whisky…
Today is World Whisky Day. And I missed it. Why do I never find out about these things until it’s too late? Okay, there are still 40 minutes left. But I’m in my pajamas, lying in bed, and watching Schitt’s Creek. I have no desire to pour that last little bit of Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask I’ve...
