The Tattletale is talking to webmasters and getting set to jump to his new existence in the entrepreneurial world. When I make the move, I'll post the new web address on this site so readers can follow. Meanwhile, I don't plan on making any new posts on this site, but... Continue reading

Central Texas had school districts scoring very high and others, like Waco, scoring very low on the recently released "Financial Allocation Study for Texas." The state's yardstick seems a few inches short to me. I don't believe that dollars per student tells the whole story by any stretch. In a... Continue reading

I've already given Waco-area readers their local superintendents' salaries & compensation, but if an avid superintendent-watcher wants to know how any one official's salary ranks in the state against all other supers, here's a super link for them: http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/adhocrpt/adpea.html All the curious have to do is go to this TEA... It looks to me like Axtell is watching its money closely. Nobody can accuse the district of overpaying its superintendent, and most of the teachers in my Top Twenty list got a modest raise at best. A couple didn't get a raise at all from FY 2010 to FY 2011.... Continue reading

The raises these teachers got (not all did) look relatively modest for the most part. Of course, the girls' athletic director got the biggest raise, which is more a comment on the values of our society than it is on Robinson, I suppose. As important as sports are to making... Continue reading

On an October 16, 2010, post (since removed), I told readers that I had learned that former Waco ISD Superintendent Roland Hernandez was on a trip to the University of Virginia on June 15th through the 18th, 2010. I had been concerned because CCISD had interviewed him on June 18th,... Continue reading

Again, for those visiting the Tattletale for the first time, the "Top Twenty" is simply the first twenty on an alphabetical list of classroom teachers, this time for University High, that shows salaries last year and this year so readers can get an idea of overall pay and the size... I'm beginning to think that ALL school buses, regardless of district, need two adults: a driver and a monitor/rescuer. Police Look For Teen After Girl Groped On School Bus ROBINSON (October 22, 2010)—Robinson ISD police think the mother of a 13-year-old boy suspected of putting his hand down the pants... In my continuing effort to give area teachers a fighting chance to compare salaries across local districts, not to mention to give citizens a chance to see where their money is going, I have established my "Top Twenty" lists. These lists simply show the salaries of the top twenty teachers... Continue reading

Not long ago, the ol' Tattletale saw the large raises La Vega ISD's administrators got, so I requested the "top 20" teachers, alphabetically speaking, at La Vega's high school to see how raises for them, if any, compared. I figured that any raises La Vega's teachers received would be reflected... Continue reading

Very curious. Downright odd. The Tattletale assumes that CCISD officials use calendars just like most professionals at most professional organizations do, yet when I requested any calendar pages reflecting former Waco Independent School District Superintendent Roland Hernandez's visits to CCISD (one also assumes CCISD had a look at him before... In the Tattletale's quest to figure out what happened when during the Waco ISD/former Superintendent Hernandez saga, I asked Waco ISD for any dates over the three-month period of May-July 2010 when Hernandez was absent from work. Midway Superintendent Bradford E. Lancaster's contract with Midway Independent School District appears to be fairly run of the mill in terms of its provisions. Although the contract does specify other forms of compensation and reimbursement such as his $500/mo. car allowance, it does not, however, reveal his salary. Download Midway... Continue reading

Please open the link below to view an e-mail from CCISD official Donna Adams that mentions meeting former Waco ISD Superintendent Roland Hernandez. Waco ISD and its alleged foreign child molester gets featured in this discussion: Without the DREAM Act, more U.S. jobs will be needlessly foreign outsourced (Latina Lista) Foreign teachers don't have the experience of living in U.S. society so they can't fully relate to student problems. While the Tattletale believes that Axtell ISD likely pays the superintendent a sufficient salary, $87,255, the contract seems to take the cheap way out on just about every other aspect of Stanley Harris's compensation. For instance, most superintendent contracts that I've inspected provide an allowance intended to reimburse the super... Continue reading
