I have lots of creative challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this time it was a color challenge featuring Night of Navy, Magenta Madness & Granny Apple Green. Fun, vibrant colors I knew would be fun to play with. I cut off an inch from the right edge of my Navy card and added a strip of Granny Apple Green DSP on the inside edge. I chose to use a stamp set that I hadn't used yet; Watercolor Shapes seen... Continue reading

I decided to play with an old favorite technique where you add ink directly onto an embossing folder 'before' you run it through the die-cutting machine. I shared how on the FB Live video here. This first card features the Polished Pink CS & ink. I used two new products in our 2021-22 Annual Catalog; the Pretty Embossing folder and the Create with Friends stamp set seen here. That pretty die-cut label is from the Potted Succulents dies seen here.... Continue reading

Have you ever added color/ink directly onto your embossing folder? It's actually fun and the results can be amazing! I shared three different techniques on my weekly FB Live Tuesday. Here's a link to it on my FB page or on YouTube here. Or scroll below to see it here. This first card is done by coloring on your folder with markers. These are regular water-based markers; not Blends. I share tips for success on this technique in the video.... Continue reading

I played with the In Symmetry bundle on last week's Facebook Live and wanted to share this neat fun fold card. I got the idea for it from my good friend Susie Wood. Here's a link to her card. It's a standard A2 size card but the unique fold makes it special. The nice thing is how easy it is to make! And it really showcases the designer paper and Pretty Flowers embossing folder I used. I chose the Navy,... Continue reading

Your first $300 in orders isn't 'due' until the end of September.... Continue reading

Yesterday I shared the details on two cards featuring the After the Storm stamp set seen here. Today I'm sharing two more. Creating scenes is one of my favorite stamping techniques and this set features distinktive images we've never had before. My color scheme here is So Saffron, Balmy Blue, Black & White. I did use our fabulous Blending Brushes to achieve the sky background. They really do help you get a smooth finish. Although here I wanted the sky... Continue reading

Since I cannot draw, sketch or paint I stamp. My husband, Mom, sister and cousin have all painted beautiful scenes and I have many of them hanging in my home. I think this is why I love creating stamped scenes. Scene builder sets are some of my favorites; it truly makes me feel like an artist! I made these cards on a recent FB Live. *video is posted below The After the Storm stamp set (seen here) is France Martin's... Continue reading

I actually love to create swap cards. There's something rewarding about creating multiples of the same cards. How do swaps work? I know many people are curious.... You create one design and make multiples of it; usually for as many of that card as there are people in the swap. Swapping saves so much time and you get samples using products you don't have to buy. There are so many benefits of swapping but for most of us, the main... Continue reading

Finally I can share this beautiful fun fold card we made at my May Card Clubs! I like to wait until after all of my Clubs are held so I can surprise them with the cards we're making. I'm not sure why; it's just a habit now after many years of doing it that way! I chose to use the Beauty of Friendship bundle (seen here) to make this unique 'Latch fold'. I chose to use a few of our... Continue reading

I wanted to use the Pretty Perennials bundle for my April clubs and I found a card like this on Pinterest. I love the fresh color combination of Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Calypso Coral! The Perennial dies were used here along with a few others; the recently retired Stitched Shapes and the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The pretty embossing folder is the Dainty Diamonds and I'm sad to say it did retire last month. Here's the Pretty Perennials bundle.... Continue reading

This is one of the first cards I made with the Hand-Penned suite. I chose to use the Soft Succulent card base with Fresh Freesia and So Saffron accents. That pretty paper is called Hand-Penned Designer Paper seen here on page 131 of the new Annual catalog. It features so many soft, beautiful colors. People are loving it so much I will likely feature it for a kit to go in June. I used the Painted Labels dies for the... Continue reading

We made this special fun fold card at last month's Card Clubs. See how it latches on the punched ice cream piece? I used the Sweet Ice Cream bundle and the Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper seen here. This DSP is retiring in June; if you like it get it now while you can. The cones on this card are punched from the designer paper itself. No need to stamp them when the paper is perfect! The card stock is... Continue reading

I absolutely LOVE this fun fold! It makes such good use of both your card stock and designer paper. There's a video at the bottom of this post so you can catch my tips and watch me make these. I chose to use the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Paper for these cards. It's absolutely stunning and filled with alcohol ink backgrounds. This means you don't have to create them yourself! This card is made with our new Polished Pink... Continue reading

I couldn't decide which to use behind the sponged die-cut so I made both White & Black. You can see that video here from Tuesday's FB live earlier this week. Which one do you prefer? The reviews were mixed. Most prefer the Black because the colors pop more. But others liked the White for a softer look. The card bases are Pale Papaya and Polished Pink. The strips are Pear Pizzazz. I used sponge daubers in Pear, Papaya, Fresh Freesia... Continue reading

I made these on FB live this week using the Expressions in Ink suite. Can you tell which background is stamped and which is Designer Paper? My top favorite suite in the new Annual catalog is the Expressions in Ink. See it here or on page 96-97. It's filled with stamps & paper that mimic alcohol ink backgrounds. Toss in the beautiful gold accents and it's stunning! Here's a close up of the card. Can you tell if I stamped... Continue reading
