Yesterday evening, we tragically lost a member of the family--our fur baby---Sierra baby girl. My goodness--this is hard. What a time to update my blog, I know, but I must do this. Crying over her death is not helping. To make a long story short. She got out of my mom and dad's backyard last night. Since I was over there, I offered to go and find her. All Dolled Up & Turning 5

Brianna turned 5 on Saturday! Here's a couple of shots I got of her in natural light before her evening party. She had a Barbie "All Dolled Up" party theme this year and loved every single minute of the spotlight being on her. I love how her Uncle Gary put it. "You're so spoiled rotten---ya stink". LOL She really did make out like a bandit. Altogether, she got 12 Barbies (not counting the little girl barbies) + a ton of other stuff. Hello. I love Fridays. I love sleeping in on Saturdays (if Brianna lets me..haha). I can't sleep in too long tomorrow though because I have a MUCH needed hair appointment with my stylist. :) "Make me beautiful!" I always tell her. Halloween Happenings

Hi! Did you have a great weekend or what? Ours was awesome! Brianna really had a blast the entire weekend, especially on Halloween. :) She trooped along joyously in spite of the runny nose and cough she's had for the past 4 days. Okay, Jeff is going to kill me....I just really L*O*V*E pink and well, Brianna begged to change her hair.... No worries!! It was only temporary! She's having "Red Ribbon Week" at school and each day is a new theme. This was for "Crazy Hair Day". I thrive off of this kind of stuff!!! lol We'll always participate!! Yes, I've been a little MIA when it comes to updating this blog. Since my hubby's been gone it's been non-stop "things to do"...and just plain ole living. I've had to make several phone calls to take care of things. For instance, we have a sprinkler system and I had to call around and find someone to come and winterize it for me. I have no idea how to do that! Finding a reputable lawn maintenance service is another. I'll pick weeds and plant flowers in my little garden--but I don't mow and have never picked up a weed eater.... Continue reading

Something I don't have enough of these days... It's been a while since my last post. It's not that I don't want to post--just been preoccupied with other things...good things, I might add. Good afternoon! How's your week going? Mine is going fast! I sure am looking forward to tomorrow night though. Momo (Brianna's grandma) is keeping her for part of the weekend to give Jeff and I some alone time. Yah, not getting any layouts done because I'm busy doing things like this! :) I used Bazzill cardstock, K&Company Halloween Whimsy Papers, orange grosgrain ribbon, some OLD mini Making Memories ribbon slides for the buckles, and some swarovski crystals for a touch of bling on the back. I'm up late and thought I'd go ahead and post since I'll be busy tomorrow---well, later today. It's after midnight now. What's awesome? I'm still alive and I finally have a bit of time to sit down and blog! hehe :) What's crazy? Oh, lots of stuff. Brianna Boo is really sick! Bless her heart--she's never sick! So, we've been watching her carefully. On top of that--I'm sick as well. Jeff is on leave right now and so even with the runny noses, sneezing, coughing, and fevers---we painted my scraproom this past weekend. We went with "Robin's Egg Blue". I love it! It's Monday--a new week with a fresh perspective. :) How did your weekend go? Our's was pretty relaxing. We rented some movies and vegged out in front of the tv. My favorite movie was "Confessions of a Shopaholic". Super cute movie! Hmmm....kind of makes me wonder if I have that problem. I'm sitting here...in silence...except for some music I have playing. I've been on the verge of tears off and on all morning. It looks as though my husband may have to deploy to Afghanistan in October. When he told me that yesterday..my heart sank. Everything he's going to miss flashes before me....Brianna being separated from her Daddy---again. The bad thing is that it seemed like an answer to prayer two days ago. Not for her, of course.... But for me! Today my little one started her first day of Pre-K and boy was she proud and excited! Yeah, that's me. :) I had a great weekend! Party + Photo Shoot=Perfectly Awesome in my book. My mom's 64th birthday party was so fun and we had a full house! You should have seen Jeff running his tail ragged grilling for all the people that came! Haha! We love hosting things though--so it's all good. :) And....sitting down to some margaritas and daiquiris isn't so bad either...wink! Also this weekend.....I got to do what I LOVE to do. Hi there Sherelle! I'm a SAHM, military wife, and live in a small town in Oklahoma. I came across your blog through a link on a scrapbooking blog. Once I clicked on it--I was hooked. I could tell you had a heart of gold--so amazingly talented--yet so humble. It's fun to read your blog---there's always beautiful pictures and little tips--but mainly because you inspire---you inspire others to be a better mother and wife and at the same time..to enjoy the little things that bring you joy....like photography...baking...gardening.
