I am having the same sleep patterns. Lovely photo, for meditating on and relax.
weary on wednesday
I had one of those sleepless nights last night. and so I am not planning to do much today. I will call my son, spend some time looking at how cloth transforms when in the company of other cloth... and thinking about that. And maybe i might take a nap. But not too long a nap. So I might sleep to...

It seems so calm there, much chaos for me here lately. Thank you for the inspiration.
Peacock Pavilions: and the tale of a little Moroccan dinner party
It began with flowers from the Peacock Pavilions rose garden. Cat Blinky oversaw their placement in the fountain. ... and in vases on the table. Chef Ellis from Australia, was concocting in the kitchen. Mmmm.... The wine was poured. And the food was served in Moroccan mosaic pa...
I have felt this confusion way for months. Just recovering, finally from a fire in my studio. This is a great look with the tight stitching of the color 'rainbow" and the loose areas had stitched overall quilting of the surrounding areas.
whatever
...well i am still a bit inside out. upside down. spring fever. confusion has taken hold. fog has moved in. whatever. that's probably why i can't decide if this is a rainbow forming or disappearing. it is hanging out in some old sky so i suppose it could be be either one. what if it doesn't...

Lovely photos. Those paper flowers are great, I use them all the time in my shop windows.
retail therapy Saturday
A day off! And what do you do....go shopping. I was quite keen to visit Donna Hay's new General Store in Woollahra, Sydney. I have very fond memories of the little village, having spent 8 of my early design years in the suburb. The shop is just gorgeous, as you would expect from the style ...
I won a brick and mortar shop that also houses my production studio. It is crazy and right now I am trying to find a way to delegate more. My teenage sone has become a real asset for me, is all the technology stuff, he is also taking an interest in design.
Seriously--how do people do it all?
I was really on a roll there with the regular posting and then things got a little hairy round the studio in the past week or so. But there's a lot brewing, so I'll be filling you in as I get a moment to breathe. One fun little project was this Goddess Day Invitation that I whipped up for m...
I have worked with Asian designs off and on for a while. Lovley invitation designs.
East Meets West
One of the long time best sellers in my shop are these Cherry Blossom shower invitations. Lots of bridesmaids are throwing showers with an infusion of Asian elements in the decor and food. One of my recent clients was even having her guests enjoy sushi on floor cushions in traditional Japane...
Beautiful Embroidery.

...hand-dyed, felted wool, hand-embroidered wrist cuffs from waterrose. i have 2 of her rings, and they are completely stunning. a few of the linings are made with cicada studio & daisy janie fabrics; and tatted roses are made by totusmel - nice way to support your fellow etsians rose!
Such lovely color, texture. I sure her first name will be forth coming.
Marrakech: and a tale of Miss Wabor
She had met Miss Wabor in the Marrakech souks. She was drawn to her instantly. Those were the days when Miss Wabor was in her "before" incarnation. Her style was understated. She wore only the simplest, perfectly cut, cream shift, bare of any ornamentation. But she had fine bones, a trim fi...
The beads are so lovely, I can see many fashion inspirations. Sorry, no visit soon, but will keep you in mind for the future or friends.
Marrakech: and the girl who loved African beads.....
She was a girl who loved beads. She was a girl who loved old African beads. For wrapping around the neck or wrist, for coiling in silver or wood bowls, for strewing on the coffee table or hanging on chair corners. For keeping or selling but for now all hers............. Look at her recently pu...
Love the sketch. The season is bittersweet this year, hope your break is restful and refilling.
time out
....taking some time to reflect and enjoy life. peace to all of you.
It seems to be crazy for many of us right now, just to keep everything going. You do have lovely meals and the fire so perfect.
Marrakech: and one word after another........
At a tucked away place not far from Marrakech, she had been writing on deadline. From very early in the morning….until very late at night. Her Moroccan days looked something like this: A cup of coffee. Write, write, write. A visit from a friend. Write, write, write. Moroccan Lunch. Wri...
