Today's creation was designed by Julie. I have a confession. I've been hording this card from you. Not on purpose, just busy. I think I made this card month's ago. And I have had it all edited and ready to share...and you know just been busy sharing other too cute ideas with you. Well today is the "spring" day! Her design uses one of my favorite Designer Series Papers: Designer Series Paper Tea for Two. The cute little dress shape is a Framlit Die used with the Big Shot, Dressed Up. The base of the card is Island Indigo Card... Continue reading

I made this for my mom, inspired by one of the Leadership presentations back in January. So fun...we decided to make it the focus of this months Stamping with Friends get-together. I stamped a matching gift bag using the same stamp and supplies too... I used the same basic supplies as for my Mother's Day card variations. The lovely, Swallowtail single stamp is behind my monogram. I stamped it with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossing with White Stampin' Embossing Powder. I used my Big Shot again and the Chevron Textured Impressions folder. The main pattered paper is the Pacific Point... Continue reading

Ready for some more Mother's Day cards? Plus some Father's Day Cards? And this one... Again the main stamp on these creations is the lovely, Swallowtail single stamp. I stamped it with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossing with White Stampin' Embossing Powder. I used my Big Shot and Chevron Textured Impressions folder. These cards have LOT of texture. The cool colors are very soothing. I love that pattered paper in the Pacific Point from the Designer Series Paper International Bazaar. The lighter blue paper is Marina Mist Card Stock. I also used Whisper White Card Stock. I sponged the edges... Continue reading

For this months Stamping with Friends we each needed to create a Mother's Day or Father's Day Card. I made several variations on the same design. I used a tweak here and there and came up with six different cards... I think this is my favorite? My mom's favorite color is blue...could you guess that? Here is another one...little different. Okay so maybe this is my favorite. What about this one? This card is actually why I started playing around. Those tiny little buttons where a lot of work and I did not want to make five more. LOL. I'll... Continue reading

I have not scrapbooked in a looooonnnng time. It was fun to get back into one of my favorite pastimes. Last weekend James had his first Robotics Competition after HOURS of working in the shop. He loves it the way I love to stamp...check out my page. Here is closer look... Here is a blank version I will donate to the team... Here is a picture of that punched wrench...I modified a card idea I found on Pintrest...here from Heidi Tekunoff Father's Day Card. Punches I used for the wrench include: Word Window, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, 1", 3/4"... Continue reading

Happy Anniversary Jessica & Hector! Last year we had a nice trip to Dallas and a wonderful time celebrating with Jessica, Hector, family and friends old and new...and of course I had to get a little craft-on... I made the Bride and Groom chair signs, and table signs...and was blessed to be the Matron of Honor...James was an usher and wore his first Tux! Such a picture perfect Bride and Groom... So hansom! My baby...oh and the groom too, LOL! I used my Big Shot, Computer and Labels Collection Framelits to create the signs...and of course some Stampin' Up! paper,... Continue reading

Okay, confession...I am totally smitten with the following colors...Pool Party and Pretty in Pink. Sorry, had to say it. Here is another invitation idea, or sweet card for a shower or new baby welcome. Today is the LAST day to get your hands on this sweet little Elephant stamp. I have used it for SO many projects and still have more ideas. You maybe tired of me using the same supplies, but they just work. If you lay out all the creations together they look like a matched set, which is exactly what I want for the Shower. The theme... Continue reading

How about a crisp and fresh baby card today? I have two versions with lots of texture thanks to my Big Shot and various embossing folders... Version one... Version two... The colors on this card are Whisper White and Pool Party only!. How simple is that. This layout was inspired by several cards I spotted on Pintrest. Not sure who came up with the original idea? But I like it. Could be used to use up some scraps from other projects. This could also be an invitation idea. It would not be too difficult to make multiples. (So far the... Continue reading

My cousin Jessica is having a baby! And this DIY Girl is getting busy, as the hostess of her shower I need to craft me up some super cute shower decor. So standby, I'll be posting a lot of Pretty in Pink & Pool Party Creations... This project was pretty hard to photograph. I can only say it looks much better in real life. Or so I think. I used a lot of the supplies already on my craft table this past few projects. The elephant stamp is from the Sale-A-bration (Free with $50 purchase) Patterned Occasions and tickets from... Quick post and quick card this morning...busy Saturday today. KC Regional Robotics Competition. Stamping with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossing with Pool Party Stampin' Embossing Powder is how I got that cute little elephant on there. The tickets are stamped on Whisper White Card stock like the elephant, with Lucky Limeade and Pool Party Classic Ink. The elephant stamp is from the Sale-A-bration (Free with $50 purchase) Patterned Occasions and tickets from the Spring Catalog That's the Ticket stamp sets. Love that Designer Series Paper Tea for Two. Also the embossing folder Folder Cloudy Day helped me get those cute... Continue reading

The magic of a sponged edge to create a Shabby Chic look. Add your lovely vintage circus image, cool pastels of Pool Party and Pretty in Pink and boom, Shabby Chic Baby Card. The Flower Trim doesn't hurt either... This card turned out super sweet, I think. It uses a bunch of my favorite techniques and supplies. I incorporated Heat Embossing, Sponging, Textures from both the Watercolor Paper and Texture Embossing, Designer Series Patterned Paper and Ribbon. All the stamping is done with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossing with Pool Party and White Stampin' Embossing Powder. The Elephant from the... Continue reading

Once you start crafting on your worktable, do you start to just pick up scraps and make something from the cast-offs of other projects. I often stamp extra images when heat embossing especially. This baby card is the result of extras... Remember this card here? This one uses a lot of the same supplies, but instead of Very Vanilla as the card base, it uses Whisper White. I did not sponge the edges and just tried to keep things clean and simple. Stamping with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossing with Pool Party Stampin' Embossing Powder is how I got that... Bunting and Banners are all the rage! (I can't stop making them either.) They are just too stinking cute. So for the baby shower for Jessica I just had to make one...I might not be able to stop with just one... I used quite a few supplies and was TOTALLY inspired by Shelli Gardner, remember this post here? And I have made this one too, I am telling you this is SO addictive. I just might make one for every holiday this year. I colored the Silver Glimmer Paper with my Pool Party re-inker and a cotton ball. The letters... Continue reading

I wanted a special treat for St. Patrick's Day for my neighbor. What could be better than chocolate? Guinness + Stamping + Chocolate. I made these YUMMY Guinness Chocolate Truffles that I found on Pintrest. I used this box template from Stampin' Up! that I had made paper truffles and matching box back in 2010. I used heat embossing on the Shamrock from the Lucky Day single stamp in Gumball Green Embossing Powder on Lucky Limeade Card Stock. I used my Paper Snip Scissors to carefully cut out the shamrock. I also added Basics Rhinestones in the center of the... Continue reading

Can you hear the birds singing? Is the snow gone yet? (no!) Are you ready for Spring? Totally, I vote Spring in. So how about butterfly punch ideas? That should fit the bill, right? This was a little 3-D SWAP I handed out at Leadership. Using the Bitty Butterfly & Elegant Butterfly Punches from Stampin' Up! I created the holder by scoring and folding a 2 1/2" x 8 1/2". I used the Word Window Punch for the hole. My candy or treat is Airheads Taffy. Check out these other Butterfly Punch ideas...and Rhinestones, I think we all used Basics... Continue reading

It's always nice to have "stamping" friends...but you also get the perk of stamped surprises from them every now and then...check out this little treat gift. My friend Julie gave me this too cute treat. She used her Big Shot (shocker!) the Got Treats stamp set, the Scallop Envelope Bigz die, and her punches from Stampin' Up! Love it! So quick and sweet. And check it out, another cute project using my new BFF Color - Green Galore (this week anyway). Quick post today...I am taking a class. Can you guess what it is by my picture of some of... Are you "way" into baking extra special treats? And then do you like to take it up another notch? This is just up your alley... I found this recipe I wanted to try on Pintrest. I made them! Yes, the family said more please! Yummy home-baked doughnuts from Sprinkle Bakes blog. I changed the color from the lovely Pool Party color blue, to Gumball Green. I used 5 drops of Neon Green Liquid Food Coloring, and 1 drop of Neon Blue. I placed them on my retired Lime-green Fiesta-ware plate and added my DIY Party Pick. Using the 2-3/8" Scallop... Do you love to make things personal? Do you love a deal? Check out what I made this week? It's a remix of a simple Shamrock door hanger... I wanted to "jazz-up" this store bought glittery shamrock wreath-door-thing. I have seen these hanging on doors around town. But I wanted something different and special, but also something quick. You know how I love banners. This banner project is a small-scale banner added to a shaped wreath. I got this shamrock after St. Patrick's Day last year at 85% off original. Love it! That's such a deal I got a couple... Continue reading

Do you love gift baskets? How about a sweet mini gift basket? This was a super quick gift to put together. Originally I was thinking about making a Halloween mini gift. But once I saw how perfect this basket would go with all my St. Patrick's creations this week, I could not resist to add a shamrock. I found the mini basket in the Easter Section. I actually purchased it for a $1 after Easter last year at World Market (love that place). Don't you just love a sale? heat embossed with Gumball Green Embossing Powder on Whisper White, and... Need a bit o' green for your door? Have college student that could use some door decor? Or a loved one in a nursing home or hospital? How about a sweet little door decor for them? I made this for my Grandma's door at the nursing home. I want to deliver it, but with all our "snow" events I am thinking it will need to be mailed to her, and soon. I used my Big Shot and Hearts Collection Framelits to create my Shamrock. It's like a single banner. How fun would it be to make a whole bunch of... Continue reading

Are you a lean mean green machine? Getting ready for St. Patrick's day? This quick card today is all green but nothing mean... I used my holiday buddy Lucky Day single stamp. This card goes together fast and easy thanks to the right tools and supplies. The Designer Series Paper International Bazaar has a Lucky Limeade paper that I have used for quite a few of my St. Patrick's Day Projects, it's just too perfect to not take advantage of it. I cut out the Designer Series Paper with the Labels Collection Framelits and a second one in Lucky Limeade... Continue reading

How about a little gift box for some chocolate gold coins? Or have another little gift you need to package up? Check it out... Super-cute? Or what? I'd love to get a little surprise like this. Wouldn't you? I made this little box again. (Love it, so fast and simple with your Simply Scored Diagonal Board.) The collage of stuff on the front was totally inspired by the Occasions Catalog sample from Stampin' Up! See? You can take this little box and collage idea and apply it to ANY holiday or special event where you need to create a little... Continue reading

May the luck of the Irish be with you...send some luck of your own with this quick card. Crisp and clean. I love how the products at Stampin' Up! all match. You can get so many different "parts" in the same colors. That is what really gives this card it's pulled together pow! I used the Tangerine Tango Polka Dot ribbon and I echoed the polka dot ribbon with tiny dots of my white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen to add a nice detail on each scallop of the focal point of the card. Heat embossing the Lucky Day shamrock and... Continue reading
