Hello and Happy Friday! This week we're sharing cards created using a technique featuring ink refills for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. Ink Refills are such a fabulous product - inexpensive (just $3.75/bottle) and so versatile! I had a hard time choosing which one to use, but in the end picked an oldie but a goodie. The Shaving Cream technique is certainly messy, but always provides such interesting backgrounds. I was able to make 4 unique "marbled" panels that I used to create 4 quick and easy birthday cards. All four cards feature the same colors (cajun craze, crushed curry, terracotta tile and whisper white), punches (Label Me Lovely, Small Bloom and Timeless Label),... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week we're featuring masculine cards for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I always have a hard time with these, so appreciate the challenge. I tend to use nature-themed stamp sets and texture when creating masculine cards. This week's project features the Waterfront set along with the Greenery Embossing Folders. I also pulled out my Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set for the sentiment as I wanted to make a birthday card. Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set, #146386 $17.00 Here are the images in this stamp set - they don't look like much, but there are some fabulous card creations out there on Pinterest using this stamp set. I must admit, even... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week we're featuring BLING in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use the super cute Gnome for the Holidays set again along with the fabulous Holiday and Basic Rhinestone jewels for the bling. I thought the little ornaments on her tree hat would be perfect for the Holiday Rhinestones. Not sure if that worked out or if it gives me the heebie-jeebies... what do you think? Here is a different view of my card. The score line is where the card opens - I had this piece of card stock already in my stash with the score line there so just decided to use it this way.... Hello and Happy Friday! This week we're featuring Embossing Folders in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use the Magnolia 3D embossing folder for my Thinking of You card along with the coordinating Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Small Blossom and Timeless Label punches. This is the embossing folder that I used from my Stampin' Up! store so you can see how beautiful it is. And it is quite a large one (6" x 6"), so my square card is actually sized at 5-1/2" x 5-1/2". Here is another view my card. The base care is a piece of 11" x 5-1/2" petal pink card stock, folded in half. The embossing was... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the September 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing Autumn-themed projects and I decided to make not one, but two cards. I created my own "designer paper" (I figured you might be getting a little tired of the Plaid Tidings DSP) using 5 of the small images from the Banner Year stamp set and a quarter-sheet of very vanilla card stock. I then cut that in half and used the strips for my cards. The color palette that I chose includes Cherry Cobbler, Cinnamon Cider, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Soft Suede. The Banner Year and Celebration Tidings photopolymer stamp sets are two great sets from the Holiday catalog that are perfect... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday Saturday! It's been a crazy week, so I am coming to you a little late this week. This week for our Fabulous Friday projects we are sharing thank you cards over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to once again use my favorite DSP - the Plaid Tidings pack from the Holiday catalog. I've had a lot of fun using the different patterns for all kinds of cards. I pulled out my Beautiful Friendship stamp set because I love it for quick floral cards and added a sentiment and butterfly from the Butterfly Gala card. Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set, #148580 $21.00 Beautiful Friendship photopolymer stamp set, #149252 $22.00 Above you'll see the great... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week for our Fabulous Friday projects we are sharing projects featuring the product line of Memories & More card packs over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use the new Wonder of the Season card pack that I ordered recently from the August-December Holiday catalog (find it on page 30) to create a Quick & Easy card. This is what you'll receive in this pack - lots of great 4" x 6" pieces with designs on both sides for more versatility, sticker sheets and gorgeous gold foil embellished cards. The great thing is there are multiples of each of the items shown in the graphic above! If you're wanting to put together... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week for our Fabulous Friday projects we are sharing cards designed using a fun color combination over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to make another easel card, once again being inspired by this card shared by Sharon Burkert in the August Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. For those of you who have asked for dimensions/directions, I plan to have that for you in the coming days. If you don't want to miss it, please be sure to subscribe to get that notification. These colors are just so pretty together and scream SUMMER to me. Of course, I have always felt like the Brights color palette was summery with the bright and cheerful colors.... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week for our Fabulous Friday projects we are sharing "cards that move" over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to make an easel card, being inspired by this card shared by Sharon Burkert in the August Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. This stamp set just cracks me up - I love the goats!! And the sentiments are funny, too. I paired the stamps with my current favorite DSP - Plaid Tidings. Although this DSP is in the Holiday catalog, this pattern hardly screams Christmas. I love it with the Mango Melody and Rich Razzleberry card stock. Here is a close-up of the card opened up. I popped up the "...but I ate it" sentiment... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the August 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that showcase brand new products in the Holiday (August-December) catalog. This card features two products from the Plaid Tidings product suite found on pages 56-58 - the Plaid Tidings DSP and Celebration Tidings stamp set. In addition, the sentiment strip was notched on the ends using the new Banners Pick a Punch found on page 65. Here are two of my favorite products in the catalog - the DSP is so versatile and the punch makes it super easy to make banners! Here is another view of my card. I have been loving the Plaid Tidings product suite and used it earlier... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week for our Fabulous Friday projects we are showcasing bundles over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use the Celebration Tidings bundle which features a great multi-holiday stamp set and awesome dies. This graphic shows you the stamp set images and the coordinating dies set that make up this bundle. Here is a close-up of the card. Last week I created a card using the cut-out from one of the Celebration Labels dies (see it here) and this week I used the piece that was left behind - it makes a great "window" for the DSP to peek out from behind. That makes these dies extremely versatile! This bundle along with the... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! You may already know this about me, but I am not a huge fan of coloring. I know that adult coloring books are all the rage right now, but give me a solid image stamp and I am a happy camper. However, I am starting to warm up to the fabulous line of alcohol markers that Stampin' Up! introduced a few years ago called Stampin' Blends. We are featuring this product line in our Fabulous Friday projects that we are sharing over on the Sisters in Stamping blog today. I decided to make a Christmas card with the super cute Gnome for the Holidays stamp set. I didn't go crazy with coloring, but I like how... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! I am a HUGE fan of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Stampin' Up! has the best patterns and color palettes in my humble opinion. We are featuring DSP this week in our Fabulous Friday projects that we are sharing over on the Sisters in Stamping blog today. I decided to make a mini birthday card set using the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes along with the Playful Pets DSP and Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. How stinking cute is this Playful Pets DSP?!?!? I just love the images in this paper, and am especially fond of the dog images since we have 3 dogs that we've adopted (Mika, Vlad and Bruno), plus a grand-pup (Miso)... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! With Christmas just 5 months away, it's never too early to get started making your hand-stamped Christmas cards. This week for Fabulous Friday we are sharing our Christmas in July cards over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I have not placed a preorder yet from the upcoming Holiday catalog, but thankfully the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, coordinating Pine Tree punch and Holiday Rhinestone jewels that I purchased from last year's Holiday catalog carried over into the new Annual Catalog. I paired these with the new Just Jade DSP from the 2020-2022 In Color DSP stack to give it a fresh new spin. Here's another view of my card. I love using the negative space with... Continue reading

Thanks, Judy! This was fun using red, white and blue with a non-July 4th project.
Thanks, Carol! It is one of my favorites from the new catalog for sure.
Thank you, Leslie! This DSP is so beautiful and vibrant and the cards came together so quickly and easily.
Great card, Carol! I especially love the apple pie!!
What a sweet card - I especially love the circle of flowers!

Hi there and welcome to the July 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that celebrate the Red, White and Blue in honor of our Independence Day earlier this month. Since July 4th has passed, I decided to use the colors to make a fun birthday card with these bright colors and used the new super adorable Pampered Pets stamp set. How cute is this Pampered Pets stamp set? If you're a pet lover like I am, this is a must-have set. And it comes with a bundle option which includes die cuts that coordinate with this set and the matching DSP from the product line. I decided to use Pacific Point as the blue for... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! It's been a while since I've shared a project and today I am sharing a fun birthday card featuring a lot of new products that I recently got from the new Annual catalog for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I am in love with the new In Colors - they are so soft compared to the outgoing ones. And this Way to Goat stamp set - it just cracks me up! Have you seen the new 2020-2022 In Colors? They're beautiful! I used a mix of card stock, the new 6x6 DSP stack and ink (the goat was colored with a watercolor brush and the Cinnamon Cider ink pad) for my card.... Continue reading

Oh my goodness! I totally forgot to publish this post on Friday... sorry it's a bit late! Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring Father's Day cards for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I used the Rooted in Nature and Birch background stamp sets along with the Stitched Nested Labels dies for my card this week. This card was perfect for my husband since he is in lumber sales. I just knew I needed the Rooted in Nature set when it first debuted a few years ago because of his job! Rooted in Nature stamp set #148217, $42.00 What is your go-to set for these kinds of cards? I try to go for nature-themed stamp... Continue reading
