Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring projects with May flowers (from all the April showers) for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. What is your favorite floral stamp set? I used two Last-Chance products with my card today - the awesome Beautiful Day stamp set and Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder. My go-to floral set for a while now has been this Beautiful Day set and I have to give it some love one last time before it retires. I also will miss this embossing folder as well since it adds such great texture to any card. My color palette for this card is daffodil delight, flirty flamingo, old olive and whisper white. I had... Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring watercolored projects for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. What is your favorite way to watercolor? Mine is definitely using Aqua Painters and the ink from my stamp pads! I am not a big fan of coloring and watercoloring this way makes it quick and easy! I used two Last-Chance products with my card today - the super-adorable This Little Piggy stamp set and the Magnolia Lane DSP. I love how the Petal Pink in the DSP matches my little piggy. Even though the DSP designs are super elegant and classy, the striped pattern works well with the more casual feel of the piggy stamp set. My color palette... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the May 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that celebrate the Last Chance Products list. This time of year is always bittersweet - so sad to see some of my favorites leaving but excited about the new product that's coming soon. Today's projects feature two retiring products - the Abstract Impressions stamp set and See a Silhouette DSP. Both are ON SALE now through June 3rd as supplies are available. I used the whisper white note card and envelope set along with several punches and a variety of ink pads and card stock (taken from the color palette of the DSP) to create these cards and I love how they... Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring Mother's Day cards for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog since it is coming up this weekend. What are your go-to stamp sets for this kind of card? For me, I always reach for my floral stamp sets. I just love how this card turned out! I chose to use the soon-to-be-retiring stamp set called First Frost. I really haven't used this one much and now I wish I had! It was a set in the Holiday catalog a few years ago and it is just lovely. My color palette for this card is flirty flamingo, old olive, soft suede and whisper white. I also used the... I just love how this card turned out - it's super clean and simple but I love the color palette: crumb cake, lovely lipstick (outgoing In Color), old olive and whisper white. Hello and Happy Friday! Today the theme for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog is masculine cards. These are always so hard for me because I just love flowers, ribbon and bling - three things that are never on these types of cards. I decided to use a few of my retiring products since I won't be able to feature them much longer... did you figure out which 3 I used? This card features a deer image from Dashing Deer which is a Christmas set (love that versatility!) as well the foliage image from Country Road. I used the 1" circle punch with a post-it note to create my mask for the moon. I will... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the April 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that celebrate Spring! Does it feel like Spring where you are? It definitely looks and feels like it here in Central Virginia... the grass is green, the trees are full of green leaves, the birds are singing and flowers are blooming everywhere so naturally we are seeing lots of butterflies and bees. I couldn't decide on a color palette so made two samples - which do you like better? For my project this month I chose to use the Positive Thoughts stamp set from the Spring catalog. This is the first time that I have used it and really love the images... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! Today we were challenged with creating sympathy cards for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. With all of the flowers blooming outside I wanted to make a floral card and chose to use the Inspiring Iris stamp set. This stamp set is great - you can stamp the detail and color them in with the solid image stamps (as I did in my card), or color them with an aqua painter, stampin' blends, stampin' markers or even watercolor pencils. My favorite irises are the purple ones, what about you? Here is another view of the card so you can see the texture that was added to the Gorgeous Grape card stock. Oooops, didn't... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! Today we were challenged with creating projects featuring BLING in honor of National Jewel Day today for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. In addition to stamping, I also love to create simple jewelry using beads - I totally love the texture and colors! I decided to make a set of earrings and used my Stampin' Up! products to make a matching birthday card. We love checking out the National calendar days for inspiration for our Fabulous Friday themes - and the National Jewel Day today is a great theme. Here is a better view of the earrings - when I saw these glass beads it made me immediately think of the Lily... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! Today we were challenged with creating projects using the March 2020 Color Challenge for Fabulous Friday over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. Karla chose basic gray, bermuda bay and pear pizzazz for this color challenge. I must admit that I struggled a LOT with this color palette, but ultimately decided it would work well for a masculine card. I needed a thank you card anyway so this was perfect! I wasn't sure which color I wanted to stand out the most, but settled on a basic gray card base with a pop of the bermuda bay for the larger sentiment and the pear pizzazz as an accent. I once again turned to one of my... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring birthday card ideas in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use DSP again since it helps to make a quick and easy card and added in birthday sentiments from the Itty Bitty Birthdays and Beautiful Friendship stamp sets along with a few punches and ribbon to make this clean and simple card. This DSP really is goregous, don't you think? This graphic shows you all the beautiful patterns in the Lily Impressions pack of DSP. It is a Sale-a-Bration selection this year. You can choose this DSP for FREE with a qualifying $50 order. How great is that?! Up close it looks like a... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring Designer Series Paper (DSP) in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I couldn't decide on one pattern so created a set of clean and simple cards featuring different pieces from this pack. I decided to use the Tropical Oasis pack that can be found on page 39 of the Jan-Jun mini catalog. I absolutely LOVE this product suite and used it last month on this project. This time I am featuring different patterns from the pack - they are all so beautiful. I also used the coordinating Timeless Tropical stamp set and kept them simple so the DSP could be the star of the cards. I colored... Continue reading

Hi there and Happy Valentine's Day! Welcome to the February 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that feature a love theme in honor of Valentine's Day. I chose to once again use the Heart to Heart stamp set that I used in my Fabulous Friday post earlier. This time I chose a completely different color palette - which do you like better? This color palette includes crumb cake, granny apple green, melon mambo and whisper white. I love how fun these colors are - reminds me of the 80's! I kept my card design super clean and simple and strictly paper and ink. Here is a close-up of the stamped panel on the card front.... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! In honor of Valentine's Day, Karla asked us to share ideas for this heart-filled holiday for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use the Support Ribbon framelits once again (did you see last week's card?) for my ombre heart card along with the Heart to Heart stamp set from the Jan-June mini catalog and the Swirls and Curls embossing folder. This Heart to Heart stamp set can be found on page 12 of the Jan-Jun mini catalog and can be used for Weddings as well as Valentine's Day which I found to make it much more versatile! I also love the floral images in the set which is... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Saturday (sorry this is a day late, but I have been so sick this week)! Yesterday was National Wear Red for Women's Heart Health Day and that is the inspiration for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I knew that the Beautiful You stamp set would be perfect for my project!! Did you know that the first Friday in February has been designated by the American Heart Association as National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about Women's Heart health? On this day, men and women are encouraged to wear red as a symbol of their support of women’s heart health. Many women wear red dresses, the identifying symbol for the day.... Continue reading
