Hello and Happy Friday! Today is an "Anything Goes" theme for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog and I decided to break out some great products from the Tropical Oasis suite that I recently ordered. This awesome Tropical Oasis product suite can be found in the new January-June mini catalog - it just screams summertime and the tropics which is my happy place. The DSP is fabulous and I almost didn't even want to cut it! And how about that gorgeous texture on the braided burlap ribbon? I also love the images and sentiments in the stamp set. See all of the great products here in my Stampin' Up! online store. And now you can... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! We are featuring the versatility of Punches for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog today. If you've been following me for any time at all, you know that I LOVE punches!! Any time I don't have to cut something out by hand or lug out my Big Shot is great because I am all about the quick and easy for my cards. This is the Cat punch that I used with my card today. It is great because I was able to use the negative with my card front and the piece that was cut out was used inside the card (scroll down to see). I love that versatility!! Here's another... Thanks, Sharon! I love creating my own patterned paper with inks and stamps.
Thanks, Judy! Even though we haven't had much of a winter I am definitely ready for spring flowers!
Sharon, this card is stunning! I love how you used just the flower from the cake image. Amazing project!

Hi there and welcome to the January 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that feature Sale-a-Bration products. I chose to feature the Thoughtful Blooms photopolymer stamp set to create this note card set. In case you missed the news, it is Sale-a-Bration time at Stampin' Up! Now through March 31st you can earn FREE product with qualifying $50 and $100 orders! The more you buy, the more you earn. Hello and Happy Sunday! Sorry, the weekend got away from me and I didn't get my post published on Friday. Our Fabulous Friday projects featured brand new products from the new Spring Mini Catalog that runs from January - June this week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog . I decided to use the Seriously the Best stamp set with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and once again used the Whisper White crinkle seam binding ribbon (it's my favorite right now!). My color combination of Lovely Lipstick and Mint Macaron is inspired by my sister Cindy, who loved mint green and hot pink back in the 80's. This is a fun and bright combination that just couldn't be captured... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! It is so hard to believe that Christmas is over already. Although it has been a balmy 68 degrees the last couple of days here in Central Virginia, Rachel tasked us with creating winter-themed cards for Fabulous Friday this week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I had ordered the Snowman Builder Punch and forgotten all about it until today - I unwrapped it and used it for this winter birthday card along with some fun snowflakes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. I decided to use a fun color palette for my winter card: balmy blue and highland heather from the Subtles family along with crumb cake and whisper white. You can't really see... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! It is so hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we created Quick & Easy Christmas gift card holders for our Fabulous Friday projects. Once again I pulled out the Wrapped in Plaid DSP (I love these!) and paired it with the Dashing Deer stamp set that carried over from last year's Holiday catalog. This is what the inside of the card looks like - there is a small vertical pocket on the inside front of the card that easily holds a gift card and then there is plenty of room to write on the other inside flap. I very simply embelished the... Continue reading

Thank you so much, Lara! I just love these little favor boxes - so easy to make and you get two from a single sheet of card stock. You have to love that!

Hi there and welcome to the December 2019 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that glimmer, shimmer and shine. I designed this cute little Christmas favor that holds chocolate kisses, but it is also just the right size to hold a lot of great gifts - earrings, a small ornament and other smaller items. If you haven't seen one before it is called a 2-4-6-8 box and they're super easy to make! Here is a front view of the favor box. To make one, cut a sheet of card stock in half so that it is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". Score it on the long side at 2", 4", 6" and 8" leaving a 1/2" strip (this... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog Karla asked us to design Christmas ornaments for our Fabulous Friday projects. Once again I pulled out the Wrapped in Plaid DSP along with the Pine Tree punch and created this cute little Christmas Tree ornament. Here is a close-up of the ornament - I simply punched out 5 trees, bent them in half and glued them to each other. Before gluing the last one I taped in a piece of linen thread that I had looped so that I had something to hang it with on my Christmas tree. I embellished it with a bunch of tiny pearls - so cute! Here is a view of... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog Rachel asked us to design Quick & Easy Christmas cards for our Fabulous Friday projects. Once again I pulled out the Perfectly Plaid stamp set because I love the font used with the sentiments (did you see last week's non-traditional Christmas card using this set?). I used a few cool tools including the Basic Patterns Decorative Mask from the Holiday catalog to create the pretty background as well as the Sprig and Timeless Label punches to pull this simple card together. If you haven't tried these Decorative Masks they are pretty cool! You can use it like a stencil and sponge ink right through to create a... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog in honor of Black Friday we are sharing Fabulous Friday projects that feature the color Black. Here is my project, a non-traditionl Christmas card featuring the fun Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree punch. I paired these with the Buffalo Check background stamp to create my black and white card. The only other color I added was just a little pop of Real Red for the sentiment. How great is this Perfectly Plaid bundle? I love that the punch works perfectly with three of the images and the font used for the sentiments is fantastic. This bundlle is available now through January 2nd in the... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog Rachel asked us to create Fabulous Friday projects featuring birds. Here is my project, a fun Christmas card featuring the Birds of a Feather stamp set and Wrapped in Plaid DSP stack. I really loved Karla's project a few months ago and used her card as inspiration for mine (see that card here). How cute is this little chick from the Birds of a Feather stamp set? I used the Pirate duckie image from this set last month for a Halloween favor (see that post HERE). I colored this little birdie image with my Stampin' Blends markers using the Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight combos plus the... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the November 2019 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing Home Decor created with our favorite Stampin' Up! products. I decided to make a piece of framed art for my Mom, who is currently battling ovarian cancer for the third time in 5 years. She is a fighter and this sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set fits her perfectly. I was inspired and decided to CASE this gorgeous card that was created by Nancy Ferb (see that here) - the colors were perfect since the Ovarian cancer ribbon is teal. I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana for my project. Here is a close-up of the ribbon. I cut... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! Did you know that today is National Cappuccino Day? In honor of that, I asked my fellow designers over on the Sisters in Stamping blog to create Fabulous Friday projects inspired by Cappuccino. Here is my card, inspired by the colors of Cappuccino: crumb cake (rose), early espresso (detail outline and pine cones), soft suede (leaves and foliage) and very vanilla. My intention was for this to look like those old sepia-tinted photos and I think I pulled it off just like I saw it in my head. I kept the embellishment of this card super simple with just a knotted strip of the braided linen thread... it's definitely my go-to ribbon trim these days. Do... Continue reading
