Hello and thanks so much for visiting!! Today our theme for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog is Fun Fold cards. I looked on Pinterest for some inspiration and decided that I wanted to try a Dutch Door card. I haven't used the True Love DSP in a while so dusted it off and combined it with the To A Wild Rose stamp set to make this gorgeous black and white card. I always love a bold pop of color when making these mostly monochromatic cards, I think it adds interest. True Love 12" x 12" DSP, #154281 $11.50 Here is a graphic of all the patterns in this beautiful True Love 12 x 12 DSP... Continue reading

Hello and thanks so much for visiting!! Today our theme for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog is Stripes. Well Suited 12x12 DSP, #154562 $11.50 Sailing Home cling stamp set, #149457 $24.00 When I think of stripes, I immediately think masculine, and what better product suite to feature these than the Well Suited suite from the January-June mini catalog. I absolutely love the Well Suited DSP and the great masculine colors. I paired it with the Sailing Home stamp set because stripes also remind me of a nautical theme. This clean and simple card features both sides of a single piece of DSP from this pack - one side has great bold diagonal stripes in basic... Continue reading

Hello and thanks so much for visiting!! A few days ago I shared a set of two cards that I created for my Sunday Fun Day project featuring the Sale-a-Bration level 1 selection Field & Flower DSP (see that post here). I shared that this was part of a set of four cards using a 6"x6" One Sheet Wonder that I came up with using the DSP. Above is a photo of the complete set of cards. Above is the One Sheet Wonder template that I created - the cards shared on Sunday used pieces B and D. I love that you can order this DSP for FREE as a level 1 Sale-a-Bration selection with a qualifying $50 order (but... Continue reading

Hello and happy Sunday!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! This week for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing cards featuring Designer Series Paper (DSP). I love making projects with DSP - 1) all the patterns in a pack are always beautiful and perfectly coordinate with each other, and 2) the color palettes are amazing, making it super easy to pull a card together. Today I am sharing 2 cards out of a set of 4 that I created using just a 6" x 6" square from a single sheet of one of the pieces in the Flower & Field DSP pack along with the To a Wild Rose stamp set. This... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the February 2021 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing fun fold cards and I decided to use the Center Fold card design. I was searching on Pinterest for some ideas and came across this card and wanted to make one, too. I purchased the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle a while back along with the coordinating Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper (from the January-June spring catalog). I have a good friend who has a birthday coming up, and she's my beach buddy, so this was the perfect product suite to use for her card. The colors are all super soft and beachy: blushing bride, sahara sand and seaside spray. I stamped... Continue reading

Hello and happy Sunday!! Happy Valentine's Day - I hope you were showered with love today. This week for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing heart projects in honor of today being Valentine's Day. I decided to keep my card super clean and simple, going with a "puppy love" theme. I pulled out my Dog builder punch and paired it with the Heart to Heart stamp set that carried over from last year's January-June Spring catalog. It is hard to tell, but the color scheme for my card is inspired from my favorite combination of raspberries and dark chocolate - I used early espresso and melon mambo. The Dog builder punch was used... Continue reading

Hello and happy Sunday!! This week for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing projects featuring Sale-a-Bration products since this fabulous promotion is ending at the end of the month. You've only got a few more weeks to earn these exclusive items for FREE with a qualifying $50 (Level 1) or $100 (Level 2) order. I decided to use the Berry Blessings bundle that is a Level 2 Sale-a-Bration item - earn it for free with a qualifying $100 merchandise order. This coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry bundle in the January-June catalog on page 44. I really love this DSP - the colors are really bright and cheerful! I decided to use the DSP... Hello and happy Sunday!! This week for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing projects featuring the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers from Stampin' Up! I used the Springtime Joy stamp set for my card design. If you are unfamiiliar with the Stampin' Blends markers, their ink is alcohol-based and are sold in a set of two - including a light and dark version of our exclusive colors. That makes the blending a no-brainer and you'll always have beautiful color coordination with Stampin' Up! card stock, ink and Designer Series Papers. In addition, these markers are dual-tipped, with a brush tip at one end a finer point at the other for more detailed coloring. Whenever... Continue reading

Hello and happy Tuesday!! I wanted to share the last two cards from my set that I created for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. In case you missed the first two posts, find them here and here. Today's two cards feature the Healing Hugs stamp set from the Annual catalog and the new A Touch of ink stamp set that is a Level 2 Sale-a-Bration selection this year. I have already used this one so much (check out these cards here and here). This marbled strip is the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous flower from the Healing Hugs stamp set. I inked the flower with night of navy ink, stamped off once, and then stamped... Continue reading

Hello and happy Monday!! I wanted to share a few more of the cards that I created for yesterday's Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. In case you missed that post, find it here. Today's two cards feature the new Art Gallery stamp set from the January-June Spring catalog. I absolutely love this set - the flower images are gorgeous and so easy to line up for two-step stamping because it is a photopolymer stamp set. This marbled piece was cut a little smaller. The flower bunch image stamped with night of navy ink worked perfectly for it. I embellished this card simply with a piece of knotted braided linen trim. I really like this trim... Continue reading

Hello and happy Sunday!! Welcome back for another Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. This week we designed projects featuring the Shaving Cream technique to create marbled backgrounds using reinkers. I had fun and ended up making lots of different marbled pieces for six cards. I only used two colors of reinkers, garden green and night of navy, and was able to create both masculine and feminine cards. I'll share two today, and the rest over the next two days. All cards have a piece of whisper white card stock inside that was left blank. Here is a link to a tutorial that shows you the steps to create this marbled effect. This is a messy,... Hello and happy Sunday!! Welcome back for another Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. This week we were tasked with creating birthday cards. I haven't used the Playful Pets suite from the Annual catalog in a while, so pulled out the DSP and stamp set to create my card. I wanted to make a birthday card that could be given to anyone, and this stamp set and DSP are perfect for that! Whenever I need some card inspiration, I turn to Pinterest. I have a Card Sketches board there and today's card is based on the sketch above, from the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge (see it here). Pampered Pets stamp set #152520 $21.00 The Playful Pets... This week we are featuring Sale-a-Bration productds that you can earn between now and the end of February with qualifying purchases of $50 (level 1) and $100 (level 2). My card this week features the Sale-a-Bration Level 2 stamp set A Touch of Ink and the new Mossy Meadow braided linen trim from the January-June spring catalog (which I LOVE!). Thinking that the background is a new piece of DSP? Actually, I created the background myself using some of the solid images from this stamp set. Pretty cool, right?... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! As we approach the final week leading up to Christmas, I wanted to share one last Christmas card with you. Our Fabulous Friday theme for this week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog is Fun Fold cards. I came across a Joy Fold card on Pinterest that also incorporated a Z-Fold (see that pin here) and wanted to make a card just like it. Once again I had to pull out my Gnome for the Holidays stamp set along with the Snowflake Splendor DSP to create this card. Here you can see how the card opens up - it is both a Z-fold and a Joy Fold card. I love it! How stinkin' cute is... Continue reading

Hi there and welcome to the December 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing Holiday Happenings-themed projects and I decided to make a gift set consisting of a gratitude journal, matching pen and chocolate favor featuring the Snowflake Splendor DSP. The patterns and colors in this designer paper are fantastic, I really love it and have used it on so many projects the last few weeks! Here is a photo of my gratitude journal and matching pen. This year has been such a train-wreck and I think staying positive and remembering all the blessings in our lives through a gratitude journal help to put things in perspective, don't you? And this brightly colored snowflake DSP can't help... Continue reading

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you have been enjoying my Countdown to Christmas projects so far this month (find them all here). I am taking a break today to share this Quick & Easy gift idea that I designed as my Fabulous Friday project for the Sisters in Stamping blog. This is my version of "homemade" Snowman Soup mix, packaged in a fun way using my stampin' stash. Have you ever heard of Snowman Soup? It's a fancy name for hot cocoa, made extra special with chocolate, crushed candy canes and mini marshmallows! I pulled out one of my decorative pint size mason jars, and filled it with premade hot cocoa mix, dark chocolate chips, crushed candy canes and... Continue reading

Hello and Happy day 9 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a Quick & Easy (QE) Christmas card featuring the Pine Tree punch, 'Tis the Season DSP and Perfectly Plaid stamp set. If this card looks familiiar, I CASE'd myself from a few months ago when I shared a Christmas in July card. See that original card here I love QE cards and this one came together super fast! I really have been enjoying using the 'Tis the Season DSP - so many beautiful patterns in this pack! Here you can see the little Champagne rhinestone that I added to the top of the tree. A little bling goes a long way. Since I'll be mailing this... Continue reading
