Thanks Elise:)
this helps a lot as we are looking for furniture for our informal living room. i really do love the look of the chair plus one of their couches that I was able to see and sit on in person. We just might go for it when they have a sale, plus with the military discount, it just seems so worth it.
Ready for a complete house home tour?
When I moved into this house in February 2013, Paul was deployed and Ellerie was still on the inside (I was about 27 weeks pregnant). SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED IN THOSE TWO YEARS. Of least importance is the fact that we got the house decorated and functional. Today I thought it would be fun to shar...
I guess I should add...would it make a good reading chair?

Hi Elise - i have loved watching you slowly make your house a home. you have a great sense of style:)
quick question if you don't mind: we just moved into a new home and are in the process of re-doing our "formal" living room and I love, love, love the look of the West Elm tulip chair. The store up here in Roseville no longer carries it in the store. Can you give me your opinion on it? I can't decide whether to go with the leather or other fabric.
I really appreciate you taking the time.
Michele

Looks so good Elise! Every piece is very thought out. Love that you included your handwriting too.
new project branding / the physical side.
Last week, I talked about the changes that I made to my branding and online promotion. Today, I want to share a bit about how I tweaked the paper items to prepare for my new shop launch. In general, my thought about the paper stuff is: "make it look good, but don't spend a lot of money." If ...
this is so awesome! Maria (and her hubby) are wonderful at capturing great moments.
...five years of family photos
...from the fabulous Maria (and her equally fabulous husband, Drew):
Congrats on finishing! These are my favorite posts. I think it would be very cool to do a family photo either every week or at least monthly:)

yay for libraries!
i love ours and the hold system is the best idea ever:) i love being able to go in and just pick up my books and now that school has started for my girls, we'll be hanging out there to do homework. for some reason completing homework at the library is more productive than at home:)
around here.
This week I signed up for a library card. This has been on my to-do list since we moved to San Diego the first time (three years ago) and so to say I feel accomplished (and a bit sheepish) is an understatement. So excited to have free and easy access to books. I know as Elle...
Beautiful photo Elise!
dear ellerie / week ten.
Dear Ellerie, Mama is a writer. I can write myself around in circles and through any problem. Someday, hopefully, you'll appreciate this. This week, though, I am keeping the words to a minimum and instead, I'll just share a photo with you. Because while your mama is a writer, your dad is not....
Everything looks absolutely stunning! Thanks for the list of products...and the name of the company you used. I'm in Sacramento too:)
Mom and Dad's Kitchen // It's Finished!
Happy Happy Friday!! Today I wanted to share some photos of my parents recently completed kitchen that I worked with them on. To recap, their old kitchen had 23-year-old built-in appliances that all needed to be replaced. Everything was looking a little aged, so my parents decided to bite the bu...

Buona Sera! Though to you, it's not evening probably. Here it's 11 pm and I'm not tired...I swear I'm still not adjusted to this time zone! I thought I'd take you on a picture walk through our new "neighborhood"...downtown Vicenza. Thank you so SO much for all of the scrapbooking advice yesterda...

i want to remember : from the hospital.
There were bright spots in my hospital stay in the moments after Ellerie was born late in the afternoon on Thursday until we left Saturday evening. Much of the stay was just awful. But the tender moments were so wonderful. These are the small things I want to remember. I want to remember her ...
