I'm not sure why I'm doing this but I'm sharing here a recent excerpt from my personal journal. I've been restless and anxious lately, unable to sit still, and I'm not sure why. Everything seems to require more effort of... Continue reading

working hard, Thanks for dropping by! I am a list freak, but the more I think about the 'one master list' idea Trunk references in her post, the more I like it. Good luck with your final item!

It's so satisfying when you run across another blog that speaks to you. You get a real sense that you're not the only one experiencing the things you're experiencing; not the only one with your particular set of quirks and... Continue reading

Just so you'll know, I fully intended to delay for months between my Twitter client review series of posts that I started back in May of 2009. I, of course, cannot give you the reasons for such a delay for... Continue reading

Adam, Sorry for delayed response, as you know I do get busy(read: distracted). As to your feelings of my fussiness, yes, I realize that the movie adaptation is exactly that, an adaptation with inherent differences in interpretation and presentation. What I'm arguing here is that Bay's interpretation is, not to put to fine a point on it, shit. Further, on your professed love of the travesty Armageddon I can only say, 'Why am I not surprised...' As an impending end-of-the-world-something-smashes-into-the-planet movie I feel Deep Impact was much better, and incredibly more satisfying than, say, any of Bay's movies put together. This is, of course, just my opinion from which yours will differ greatly, which is unfortunate as I am right and you are not, so :P

I too have noticed I respond well to structure. For instance, if I block out specific times for writing, or writing duties then I'm more likely to sit my butt down and roll with it. Of course, like you say Adam, it's not always easy; I don't know about you but those little voices inside my head that keep saying nasty things about my writing are, many times, hard to ignore. And I'm reserving my response to any Michael Bay baiting until I have a suitable rebuttal.

So I hate new year's resolutions anyway, right? Which is why I'm not really(lie) that put out by screwing one up as early as February. I was supposed to post more regularly in here in 2010(where's my flying car, btw?),... Continue reading

I've been up since 4:08 this morning. Is it sad that I decided to write a post at this hour when I could be doing any number of other mindless things: watching TV, playing Torchlight, or some other mindless thing... Continue reading

Thanks Mike, I got the idea from your Facebook post by the way. I meant to ask you if you had run into the War on Christmas when you said that.

Well I don't know about the rest of you but I simply cannot believe it's only five days until Christmas. Since becoming an adult—I use the term loosely—I believe I've said this every year in regard to the stealthy approach... Continue reading

I feel terrible that I've neglected my blog for so long. In my last post I spoke of changes, and in the past two months there have been many. Chaos seems to have been the only constant. I totally had... Continue reading

Thanks Jenny! I'm 35 today, but, I don't really feel 35(whatever that's supposed to feel like), and I guess that's a good thing. Also, I've never had my boobs cut off(yet), so that's something at least...
