Consider using Google to get an aerial view of the area, to also help you in court. Great post.

Dawn, Good post. Would love to hear more about how the tragedy shaped the wonderful person you are today.

Dawn, I am sad for you, and for your client today. Sometimes our profession can be painful. I am sure your chosen area can be especially difficult. Remember though that you make a difference in the lives of your clients. You also make a major difference in the world. You expose the truth, so that others may better defend themselves and their children. The world is a better place because of what you do and who you are. I am sorry for your loss.

Dawn, You are one of very few private investigators that is constantly looking for ways to improve. I look forward to hearing how you manage to get better. I have recommended it before, but I will again --- OneNote.

Great job! I noticed you had been missing in action lately. Probably putting the finishing touches on your reports for this case. This industry (and this world) needs more like you.

Dawn, In this business, you "do what you gotta do". All there is to it. That is why you are successful at it, and in demand. I had a rough few days my self. Not from being sick. Just very tired from some odd hours. Makes you weary, and sometimes makes me a little cranky. Bad times pass, the same way the good ones do. And vice versa. PS Happy Birthday and feel better.

I like to think of cases as prisms. You know the round crystal ones, with hundreds of sides. Sometimes taking a step back, and a few steps to either side gives you a completely different perspective.

Dawn, Our agency also combats sexual abuse of children, but by different means. We are often hired to prove that a child is spending time with someone that is a convicted child molester. That is often done in custody cases. There have been many cases we have worked where our video helped get a child out of a very dangerous situation. We have several cases going on at this very moment that involve determining if a child is allowed (or made) to spend time with a dangerous person. Several of those cases involve specific court orders against a specific person being around a child .
