I just found out today that one of my best friends is up and moving to Singapore! And it has rendered me speechless. She is an almost empty nest-er like me, and while I've spent a lot of time pondering... Continue reading

Forgive me Father for I have sinned. It has been many days since my last blog post. Instead of blogging I've been starting a company, shopping for Christmas, having Christmas, enduring New Years and trying to keep from going insane.... Continue reading

Below is a post I wrote back in September. I'm going through my drafts and publishing some of them until I can figure out a direction with the blog. I miss writing here and surprisingly I miss NOT shopping! Although... Continue reading

I wrote a draft of this post over 6 weeks ago! I've been a very bad girl, and not in the "nasty kinky fantasy" kind of way, but in a "too busy to post" kind of way. So read on... Continue reading

Emily's car had a terrible crack in the windshield. And since she abandoned me over the Memorial Day Weekend to go to Idaho with her boyfriend's family, (can you hear the bitterness seeping out of the screen?) I decided to... Continue reading

This is the longest I've gone without posting on my blog and I feel like a mother who beats her children. I'm working 16 hour days 6.5 days a week. I'm exhausted, grumpy, constantly hungry and still trying to train... Continue reading

I've gone off the deep end and agreed to launch a marketing consulting company with some partners. Starting a new company is like having a newborn baby. No sleep, hair washed ever week instead of daily, bad food choices, no... Continue reading

Today is the Six Month anniversary of my last shopping spree. Maybe I should buy myself something nice to celebrate. No! It ws my last clothes, shoes, handbag shopping at all, except for a few items here and there from... Continue reading

Back To School. That simple phrase brings dread and fright to mothers. It consists of: Registration = $$$ Gearing up for sports season= $$$ School supplies= $ School clothes shopping with your daughter= $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ This is a similar system to... Continue reading

Twitter is insane. If you aren't familiar, it is a random stream of thoughts, only 140 characters long. You "follow" people and the "follow" you back. Think of it as virtual stalking. It is a running stream of the thoughts... Continue reading

Very few people are able to solely focus on their "ideal lifestyle". Children, jobs, extended family and other important responsibilities create complexities that, through our desire and teachings of kindness, consideration, helpfulness and humanity prevent us from focusing completely inward.

Being sick is never fun, and when you think you've got something horrible, like the swine flu, it is even worse. I woke up Wednesday night with a slight cough. Thursday I trotted off to work like a trooper. Thursday... Continue reading

Note: The following post has nothing to do with shopping, or not shopping or purging or downsizing or anything else that this blog is normally about- it is about love... I just finished watching Dateline's hour long special about Taylor... Continue reading

Between getting terminated, laid off, fired, axed, downsized and whacked a month or so ago, I've been so busy cleaning, building, fixing, lounging and watching t.v., that I haven't posted a thing on eBay. Shame on me for being such... Continue reading

It is my blog so I am making a shout out to my mom, who is partially responsible for my neurosis, addiction to shopping and wonderful children. Since her birthday is today, I'll leave the recriminations and finger pointing related... Continue reading

Laura, Just send all the naysayers my way and I'll take them in a dark alley and set them straight. Really, it is just a matter of not wanting to take the time and yes, I'd rather spend it writing, (and finding new and exotic dark chocolate). I wish I was able to optimize it myself, but I can't fix my plumbing, change my brake-pads or tune-up my car either! So keep rocking the service and I'll help spread the word. TypePad's service is amazing.

Your comments may very well be true, but some of us are not as adept at blogging, new to blogging and are MORE than happy to pay for the service. I was thrilled because I'm very BUSY working and taking care of three teenagers, and trying to not go to the loony bin. Plus, this was just a bit of what they did, I received a multiple page review of what I had done right, (an invaluable ego booster for new blogger who wonders what the HELL SHE IS DOING WRITING ALL THIS STUFF), told them what I wanted done and whoosh, all done without me lifting a finger. I'm sure that you, Bing, are an amazing blogger and what is easy for you is not so easy for the rest of us (sigh), so we have to pay others that are smarter than us. And frankly, sometimes I'd rather just watch another episode of Bones with a sticky bowl of popcorn than really try to understand what a RSS Feed Burner Reader thingy is... So I love the tune-up service- disclaimer, not related, not a worker, just a gal wanting to blog about how much I miss shopping and OK, I may be a crazy but it was WORTH EVERY PENNY. Now, off to watch Bones...
