Love the Dartmouth reference! Did you go there?? I haven't been to Pali House in forevz, but I'm totally inspired to go again :)
oh joy {eats} palihouse in west hollywood...
During a recent meeting, Bonnie came across Palihouse in West Hollywood and suggested we come by for a ladies lunch {which I gladly obliged}. Known as a luxury hotel with long-stay options, it's both classic and stylish...kind of like if the Ace Hotel had an older brother who was a professor a...
Such a fabulous event! Thanks for hosting Leslie!
Los Angeles Ladies Who Blog Cocktail Party
As promised here are the photos from the cocktail party I threw for some of my favorite bloggers in Los Angeles. Since it was such a beautiful warm Summer evening, I hosted it in my backyard. As the ladies entered I had them write name tags for themselves (since some of us had not met yet) and...
Ooh, I love the grey and yellow scheme, and that food looks Amazing!!
A "SoCal Chic" Bridal Shower
I had the great pleasure of co-hosting a bridal shower for my oldest friend this past weekend. I met Jennifer just before we started kindergarden. She is one of those people in my life I depend upon most. It was so much fun to plan this shower! We decided to go super simple and elegant with ...
Had the best time dining with you Leslie! And your reviews are spot-on! I'm posting mine with photos soon! xoxo
Restaurant Review: Fig and Olive, Los Angeles, CA
There are few restaurants that I get downright giddy about when I read about their opening and Fig and Olive was one of them. Widely established as a fabulous restaurant choice in New York, Fig and Olive settled into a cozy spot on Melrose Place. The space that once housed the clubs/restaurant...
Wow- these look and sound Awesome!
Here Come the Cookouts
With Summer here, the warm weather is bound to bring on the cookouts. The veggie burger is pretty much the vegetarian staple at these. Let's face it, when people don't know what to serve a vegetarian, a frozen veggie burger patty is often what they get. (at least I get) While those can be ver...
I've been using Stevia for YEARS and am so happy to hear that my health-guru friend approves!
It's Brilliant for my morning oatmeal :)
My love affair with Stevia. Healthy Sweeteners & Video's
I have an addiction. An addiction that requires me to carry a mini ziplock bag in my huge woman purse to support my craving. Yes, I'm admitting I have a problem. Well, it's only a problem if it's out of control. Ok, it's a little out of control. Yesterday I had seven glasses of iced tea. Yeah......

I die. I DIE! This CAKE is beyond my DREAMS!!!!!
True story: when I was a little kid I wanted a cake with a rainbow on it REALLLLY badly. The cake I was served had a "rainbow" with random colors that were out of order. I was Very disappointed. THIS was the Cake of my Childhood dreams!!! Realized like, 24 years later!
You are so incredibly talented and your blog entries are such a gift!
St. Patricks Day Cake
<p>The smiley, happy, silly rainbows on this cake are totally inspired by those amazing frosting covered sugar cookies you get at the bakery. Or at least, at the grocery store bakery that I would frequent in my youth. Those cookies were the only thing that made shopping trips tolerable for my mo...

Hi R Phantom! No! I'm not being paid by Katsuya ;) In fact, I paid to eat their food! I just had a fabulous experience with their molten lava chocolate cake!!!
Fantastic Molten Lava Chocolate Cake at Katsuya!
Woowee, I love me some fine Japanese cuisine! Especially from celebrity sprinkled restaurants that make trendy dishes like Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice and Yellow Tail with thin, Fried Onion rings! Mmmm. :-9 The problem with most fine restaurants though, Japanese joints in particular, is that the...

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry to hear it!!! One never really appreciates her great health until it is taken away. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!!!
Where are you located?? I recently had a window slam on my finger and it took my whole nail off and broke the bone. SERIOUS pain. A "Body Talk" practitioner did some work on me and within an hour the pain was gone. I couldn't BELIEVE it.!!! This is the person I saw

She can sometimes work on people remotely (I know, so bizzar), or she might be able to recommend someone in your area. It's all natural :)
Good luck with it!!!
I Could Use a Prayer
I hate to do this... but I am desperate. I recently told you about this tooth thing... turns out it was so bad that my dentist felt we should remove it. I was fully on board with that and this past Monday they did. Last night I was in extreme pain again. When a tooth is removed, a blood clot n...

Wow- looks like King Speach is going to take it- Eeg, such a boring movie to be the overall winner!
Happy Oscar Sunday
Living in Los Angeles, the Oscars are treated like the Super Bowl. Streets are closed, grocery stores empty, bets are placed and you better have a spot on someone's couch reserved! The play by play is the who's wearing what. And yes, sometimes it includes rewinding and replaying in slow motio...
