Do You Assign a Gender to Random Things?
"Do you have synesthesia?" This was a question my massage therapist asked me last week. I had no idea what that even meant, so I said, "Probably." He laughed, then he explained that synesthesia is a condition where a person can experience two senses at the same time. He used an example of a pe...

I took Topamax briefly in 2004 for migraines. My doctor nicknamed it "The Barbie Pill" because she said it will make me feel "loopy." It most certainly did!
On Being Approachable
I stopped by the grocery store tonight, the store I frequent at least twice each week. John (yup, that it his real name), the cashier in the self-checkout section was there. Without meaning to armchair diagnose, I'm going to assume John is somewhere on that beautifully colored autism spectrum....

Molly, I apologize for not responding to your comment sooner. I too have had very little time to devote to my own blog this year, but I am very sorry to hear about your Georgie. My best friend in high school had a manx. Beautiful creatures. Wishing you a peaceful holiday season with good memories to hold on to of Georgie. Thank you for reading :)
By the Way, How is my Heart?
"I want to be honest with you, this isn't going to end well. Once they reach this age, and we see fluid in the lungs, they have maybe a month, tops, to live." This is what the vet told me on Friday morning. May 29, 2015. My routine is now different. It hasn't been interrupted exactly, just di...
Isn't it amazing, Joscelyn? It does appear to be common that we all think everyone does this. Just makes us super cool ;)

Jennifer, it is very cool. Like your son, I just assumed everyone did this. It made learning more fun for me :)

Thank you, thank you. I am familiar with The Rainbow Bridge thanks to Poseidon's cousin Juleah. I've read it several times in the last few weeks. Hugs and peace right back at you JennyJenny :)

John Gorka fan for years (thanks to WXPN, University of Pennsylvania college radio). I also thank you for reading with red eyes. I'm remembering the happier times now. Hurt take a while to turn to fond memories, but we are getting there. Thank you for reading.

It's Just Yarn, After All
"Good God, you freak, it's just yarn. Yarn cannot kill you. That ball of purple isn't going to wrap itself around your throat. It cannot bite or pinch you. Hell, it doesn't have hands. It doesn't have teeth. Yarn can't even criticize this thing you are trying to knit. For the love of sani...

The Anxious Runner Report - The Disastrous Run
I made a last minute decision to run a 10K on Saturday (ashamedly, I was waiting to see what Mother Nature was going throw down on us). I've been working on my pace for the last few weeks, thinking it might be possible to beat my time from last year for this same 10K. I could not have been mor...
