Housewarming Gift
It's hot out here in Southern California! Wow! I'm hoping this is not an indication of what summer is going to be like. On the upside, Jonas and I went on a hike this weekend and it was beautiful. And now with the time change, I'm looking forward to walks and more hikes. I gifted this chipboard album to a friend of mine as a housewarming gift. I like how it came out. The album is five pages and I used paper that I bought at Costco a while ago. I liked it because it has an antique and distressed... Continue reading

Saturday Bliss
It's a wonderful Saturday out here in Southern California. Sunny and warm. I went to a Copic class this morning. It was great! It was a class for beginners. I learned a lot about blending, feathering, using the colorless blender and airbrushing with the markers. I'm looking forward to playing with the markers! I did some scrapbooking the other night...I'm trying to catch up on scrapbooking before the baby is born because I know that after that I will be scrapbooking just baby pictures! These pictures are from a off-roading trip Jonas took to Silverwood Lake. He loves it there...in... Continue reading

Da Boyz
It's been a wicked crazy week! I have been so tired and busy. I have not scraped in a while...well, I'm working on a secret project with some friends. Until then...sssshhhhh. I did start a chipboard album last night, but was so tired that I stopped midway and went to bed. I have a lot of ideas in mind. I just lack the energy right now to get them done. Pregnancy is kicking my butt! So, I'm going to share some non-scrappy things today. Ahhhh, they are cute right? The other day, I came down stairs to see them both... Continue reading

Happy Birthday Zeus!
Happy Friday! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. Not sure what I'm up to...rest, scrapbooking, shopping, maybe a movie...it's open. All I know is that it's been a long week! Here it is...the last page of Zeus scrapbook! I used Imaginisce All Kinds of Happy glitter paper. I cut out diecuts from the Celebrations Cricut cartridge. I love the picture of Zeus with his eyes closed...it was a "bad" shot, but when I uploaded them to my computer, I actually thought it was cute. It looks like he's making a wish! Cute! And now...the winner of the... Continue reading

Doggy Layouts
I'm catching up on Zeus' scrapbook. After he started growing out of the cute little puppy look, we slowed way down in picture taking. So, I'm almost done. He turned one in February and that's about the last layout of his scrapbook. He's still cute and there are times I can still see that adorable puppy face. Here are two layouts I made last night. Sorry about my horrible picture taking. I actually did take a class...and my pictures didn't get much better. Anyway...back to the layouts. The dogs are actually not supposed to get on the furniture...but I wanted... Continue reading

Copic Markers and a Giveaway!
I'm addicted to Copic markers...they are great and I can't stop buying them! I love Jennifer McGuire's blog post from today. She did a great job explaining what Copic markers are, the different types, how to use them, and where to get them. It made me want to organize my stash and buy more! But I will wait. I signed up for a Copic Techniques class for beginners. It will be on March 13th in Anaheim Hills. I will make myself wait till after that class to buy more... I was inspired today to take stock of what I have... Continue reading

Thank you for all this great info on Copics. My husband bought me a set for Christmas and I have been playing with them. I just signed up for a class for beginners and I am really looking forward to it.
Information on Copic Markers + Giveaway
I have been receiving a lot of questions about Copic Markers, so I decided to do a post on them. Please keep in mind that I use them "my own way" and some of these points are just my opinion. However, I will be sharing links to the "official" stuff, too. Enjoy! THE BASICS OF COPIC MARKER...
Joyful!
Last night we found out that our baby is a girl! So exciting! The ultrasound technician was super nice and she gave us 19 ultrasound pictures! Jonas and I were both excited before, but now that we know we are having a girl, we are so much more looking forward to her birth. The anticipation has definitely risen. So now we wait till July. And I know it will be hard to keep myself out of the baby stores... So with all those ultrasound pictures, it was hard to settle on a layout design. I chose not to use all... Continue reading

Belly Bump
Ah, scrapbook therapy! Really needed it. It has been a crazy week at work and it's only Tuesday! I've been in the classroom presenting to students. My appreciation for teachers has again been renewed! It's hard work speaking all day and saying the same thing over and over. Add to that classroom management! I had those pregnancy pictures developed. Loved how they came out. Right away, I was inspired to scrap. I love this scrapbook paper. My friend April gave it to me as part of a Yah, Your Pregnant Gift! It's from Provo Craft and it has images of... Continue reading

It was a great weekend!
Greeting! It's been a while since I've blogged. It was a long and busy week. I had a great weekend with my hubbie! On Saturday, we rested, went out for Sushi, a movie. Then today, we went to church, cruised by the beach, and then spent the afternoon at Dave and Buster's. We had fun playing games. I think we both are into Guitar Hero now...what a fun game! And! I did some papercrafting today. I made two baby cards. Hey...what else is on my mind these days?! We still haven't found out the sex of our baby yet. Hopefully,... Continue reading

Happy Tuesday
Happy Tuesday...it's back to work for me. Had a restful three day weekend. Valentine's Day was fun. Jonas and I visited a friend at the Train show in Long Beach. It was pretty cool seeing intricate trains of all sizes. We saw many little and not so little boys with eyes wide open with wonder. Then we spent the afternoon shopping...bought my first pair of maternity jeans. We cancelled dinner at Five Crowns...I was tired. Jonas made shrimp cocktail, ceasar salad, baked potato, garlic bread, and filet mignon for dinner. It was yummy! I have a fantastic husband. I made... Continue reading

18 weeks and counting...
I'm in my fifth month of pregnancy and it has been an adventure!! I'm starting to show and that is exciting. I was wondering when that belly bump would appear. I'm one of many women pregnant at the school I work at and they have all been showing for a while. So it's nice to join in. Here is a picture of me showing my belly bump...I'm very proud of it! Picture compliments of my hubby! He's not too bad with a camera. I'll be scrapbooking this picture as soon as I get it developed. I did a lot of... Continue reading

Happy Valentine's Day!
It's Valentine's Day and I have no idea what is going to happen today. Jonas has not told me a thing. He usually isn't that great at keeping surprises secret...maybe it means that he hasn't planned a thing...oh boy! All I know is we are going to church this morning, but nothing else. I made him a few cards for today and have left them around the house for him to find. I like the simplicity of this card. I cut out two hearts with the George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge. I added red Bazzil string around the hearts.... Continue reading

More Tiny Valentine's Stamping!
Okay, so I forgot my niece's birthday in January. Bad aunt, bad aunt! I felt so bad when I realized it. BUT...to my defense, I have been busy with being pregnant, work, moving, etc, etc, etc... So to make up for it, I made her a 12 card set using Papertrey Ink's Tiny Valentines stamp set. I love these stamps! I kept it simple...all white cards, colored in the images with Copic markers, used a circle punch, and a scalloped circle punch. I added coordinating ribbon and stamped the coordinating sentiment at the bottom right of each card. Easy and... Continue reading

I love these stamps too. I just made a card set for my niece tonight using these stamps. Right now, they are my favorite.
Be Mine... giveaways... and Cards for Kids List...
Happy Friday. Have lots today - giveaways, card drive update and some Valentine ideas! First, I have a winner of the Kiss and Tell stamp from earlier this week - Julie S! I emailed you. I still have TWO more to giveaway. For these, I will be picking a winner sometime next week from random...
Papertrey Rocks!
I played with my stamps and created this weekend! I have been so tired from unpacking and no time to play! I sat down Sunday afternoon in my still mostly unpacked scrapbook room and crafted away! I made four cards with Papertrey Ink stamps. It's the Tiny Valentines stamp set. I love these stamps...they are so cute! I stamped each image on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic makers. I actually cut out the circles and scalloped cirlces with my cricut. I used the Mini Monograms cartridge. I didn't have punches large enough. Plus, it makes me feel... Continue reading

The Scrapbook Room-The Raw Version
Moving this weekend was long and tiring! And I didn't move anything. I cleaned and unpacked. I got tired pretty fast so I needed to take lots of breaks. And unpacking is going slow. I started some unpacking in my new scrapbooking room tonight, but need to spend more time unpacking our bedroom and the kitchen. I took some pictures of my scrapbook room...its full of boxes! Very messy, but I am excited to have the room and look forward to organizing it! That's a lot of boxes! How to organize it all?!?!?! Well, at least my Cricut and Cuttlebug... Continue reading

Long Time No Blog
So sorry for the long absence! We are in the middle of moving! The last week or so, we've been packing and today/tomorrow we are moving to our new home. I'm so excited! It's a bigger place and I will have my very own scrapbooking room! I must admit that I was sad to pack up my scrapbook stuff (about 15 boxes to pack it all), but happy to know that I will be unpacking it in my very own work/creative space! Can't wait to organize it all...which means shopping for furniture/organizational supplies! Just read today about a new organizational... Continue reading

I love Disney and I love Disneyland. I live about 30 minutes away and I'm sad to say that we hardly ever go. Once the baby is born, we will have to invest in passes. I just started working on a Disney custom order. It's an 8x8 album of a Disney Cruise. From the pictures, it looks like Disney cruises are awesome. I have not had the pleasure of experiencing a cruise, because I get extremely motion sickness. Jonas and I keep saying we are going to try out a weekend cruise. Any ideas of good cruises to try out?... Continue reading

It's been raining all day long! Like real rain with wind and all. And, it's supposed to rain like this all week long. What a treat for us SoCal peeps. The only thing that is going to be a bummer is when I try to drive to work tomorrow...I should probably leave really early! Jonas and I spent some more time house hunting today. We found a place that we really like. It's not in Rancho Santa Margarita, but it's in a great location, really private, quiet, and roomy. It will be a great fit for all of us (dogs... Cupcake Card
It's been a great weekend. I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Costa Mesa yesterday with a few gal pals and we had a blast. Spent way too much money, but found some really cool things and great deals. Today, Jonas and I went house hunting...that was tiring! We're looking for something bigger...with two big dogs and a baby on the way, we are bursting at the seams. And I need a larger scrapbook work area. I have finally gotten some time to play with new toys. I made this card with one of Hero Arts new Cling stamps and... Continue reading

Happy Friday!!!
It's my favorite day of the week! The first day of the weekend. Love it when the clock strikes 3:30 pm and my weekend officially starts. AND...Saturday is the OC Scrapbook Expo. I'll be going with my Scrapbook Divas. I'm looking forward to fun girl time and scrapbook shopping. I finished the girly carriage shaped chipboard album. It came out very cute! The only bummer is that I couldn't find the coordinating DCWV embellishments to go with the paper. Instead, I used buttons, flowers, and die cuts from the Cricut baby cartridge. I also had a set of embellishments from... Continue reading

Boy Oh Boy!
Finally finished one of the baby carriage shaped chipboard albums that I've been working on. Wow! So cute! I love it! I wish I knew what sex my baby is going to be, but I have to wait about another month before we can find out. Both the boy and the girl themed albums are coming out super cute. I want both! So cute, right? Love this paper from Debbie Mumm. It's textured and glittered. The images are so adorable. I also used Debbie Mumm stickers. Each page has ribbon. I also included buttons. I used Recollections embellishments as well.... Continue reading
