So, portland has so much, my shop is the import store Cargo, Powells of course, eating and walking and shopping on SE division, Nw 23rd, and NE mississippi, but if you are staying next to the big Powells, theres a ton to walk to and see right there. Its a great spot!

I would read Circe first to see about your tween. Even just the first 10 pages at the bookstore. Content wise, there is a rape, but its more referred to than described. The writing style is beautiful and requires a lot of attention, so it really depends on your tween. Id say 16 and older.

Okay, I didnt last long and wore a metallic today, It was really nice and not too flashy. And the book is about the Greek goddess Circe and the telling of her story from her perspective. Its wonderful.

Hello! She LOVED the training and the classes. Really had a great time. She also said that the dorms were hard. She would have loved to stay with family or friends instead. Many girls did, still made a ton of friends, and were included in all the activities despite not being in the dorms, so I say save some money and have her stay with family!

Here's some books we loved this year. I have grouped together Delia's and Lydia's first (they are 10 and 13) and Sadie's is the second group (15). Some of these titles are heavy. There is so much out there in terms of reviews, I know you all can research what would be a good fit for the kids...

They keep them. I just gather them up occasionally and put them in their room, but when they want to get rid of them is their call. I do have a bookshelf dedicated to them for quick clean up in our craft area when I am in a hurry.
