slpteach2 - thanks for your comment! I used a regular loaf pan I'm sorry I don't know the measurements however you could use a pound cake and just cut it the same way. As for how to cut the cake into shape, under the second photo from the top there is a link to the site where I found the cake. There is a detailed description of how to cut the cake. I hope this helps and good luck with the party!!
Hi y'all. Been a long time! There's been a lot going on at our house since I last posted including giving birth to a shiny new baby girl in January! Needless to say I've been occupied with other things. However... Continue reading

The Boy turned 3 this week and it was time for a party. A Robot Party! Ever since seeing the movie Wall-E, the Boy has really been into robots. He spontaneously speaks robot and walks like a robot; the last... Continue reading

You're welcome! Glad you tried them out :)
Squeebs - I really like the pineapple idea - or the idea of something special reserved for a specific time of year. Good stuff, thanks! LYMI
This is really the first year I’ve put together something for The Boy from the Easter Bunny. He is only 2.5 years old after all. I think he will have fun looking for eggs in the yard and getting a... Continue reading

I realize I’m posting this the evening of Valentine’s Day and it would have been more helpful last week; however this is something you could probably whip up anytime no matter the occasion or use it for next year’s valentines.... Continue reading

In an effort to teach The Boy how to be a civilized little guy at the dinner table - and to make using a napkin fun and exciting - I whipped this baby up. It took 10 minutes tops. Bonus... Continue reading

I drew these marshmallow snowmen with food coloring pens while watching a movie earlier this month. Before I knew it I had gone through the whole bag. Cute, no? They were part of holiday gift bags for friends and neighbors... Continue reading

Why hello Ms. Cutie-Patootie Panda. I made these for a friend’s twin girls who were graduating from kindergarten. Their class mascot was a panda… how about some panda cupcakes to celebrate! These were really easy to make. With that said... Continue reading

I didn't get a chance to read the comments on the other post about sheets but please check out Garnet Hill. Their sheets are heavenly and I mean, sleeping on a cloud while being warmed by the sun and having a chocolate IV kind of heavenly. My They are also always a little wrinkled but super soft and the flannel feels you're sleeping on giant marshmallows. Also they have unusual designs. I see Seabiscuit there - how do you like it so far?

So I love this thing. It is awesome. It's a lemon reamer and strainer all in one. Kicks some serious citrus heiny. The ribbed lid grips that lemon like nobody's business. Cut your lemon in half. Stick it on the... Continue reading
