Congratulations Gwen!!! A day you will not forget for the rest of your life and, to most pilots the highlight of all thier flying experiences. And yet the fun starts now, with solo cross-country flighs, trips and eventually the PPL skills test. Good luck with the rest of your training and I look forward to reading the article on Nealry Heaven that announces that you have passed your PPL!!! Best Wishes Matthew

Once again, congratulations to you both!! Stine it was a pleasure to help you during your PPL training. No questions are ever too 'stupid' it is only the persons need to truly understand that counts. I hope that we will fly together in the future and I am so happy that you kept on fighting to achieve your dream. As Robert Kennedy once said: “There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?” “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them” Best Wishes, Matthew
I believe that the 'cranked wing' configuration found only on Robin aircraft are twisted nose-down so that they only generate lift and therefore drag when the aeroplane is climbing or coming in to land. In cruise they produce no lift, very little drag, and enhance the wingtip airflow and lateral stability. This is the secret to the DR400's realively high performance.
