My mother has this same ornament only hers is blue. I remember it from all my growing up years. It must be from the 1960's.

Gray? Oh my. Yes, you need cheerful color! I will not take my hooks and needles which are all sizes and colors for granted any more. Love the bouquet of hooks in your pretty sugar bowl. Get well wishes from across the pond.

Do you have mono? That is mononucleosis? My son had that three years ago. He was just like what you are describing. He was that way for about six weeks and then he was fine. They did tests on him at the doc and they came back negative, but the tests for mono are like that and do not always show up positive. Just thought I would share that info with you. Prayers going up for you.

I would love to see both books. Your creativity always inspires me. So I am sure any book you recommend will do the same. Thank you for sharing your ideas and photos from over the years.

If those are really your footprints, then you only have a 11 and 1 gait. No more need to be paranoid. Thank you for sharing these six things. I am going to use your sofa idea for my sofa that "has" to be covered because it has developed a worn through place.

I have taught little ones and adults to crochet (and knit)and being one who also holds the hook the "wrong way", I have always just told them to hold it however it feels most comfortable to them. I tried for years to learn the right way and was so hung up on how to hold the yarn and hook that I couldn't get past that to actually learn the stitch process. Once I tried holding it my own way, I asked a friend to show me how to make the stitches and learned very quickly. I think it is wonderful that you have sparked an interest in these young girls. It is wonderful to see these crafts passed down, isn't it? By the way, you have a lovely blog. I really enjoy it!
