I think klinsmann is thinking that if the USA score with different forwards and the same midfield, he'd have his point proven about Jozy and the other forwards not producing

The terrible-looking arm injury suffered by Carles Puyol in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League match against Barcelona appears to not be as bad as first feared. According to multiple reports in Spain, Puyol is set to miss eight weeks with a dislocated elbow. The injury will not require surgery...
I think what impressed me on this goal is that he looked desperate for the ball, and when he finally got it he was like, "THANK YOU!!!"
But yah it's always fun to watch a player torch a few players before scoring a goal.
Must-See Goal: Ryan Johnson
What if he was giving himself that space? LOL
I mean what if Chelsea tried their best but he was just soo good that he found that space quite easily
Must-See Hat-Trick: Falcao
It is difficult to put into words just how impressive Radamel Falcao's masterful three-goal performance was against Chelsea in Friday's 4-0 victory in the European Super Cup, so we will let you watch the goals and tell us what comes to mind after watching them. Enjoy: <A href="http://ms...

McCoist alludes to potential Stoke City move for Edu
Maurice Edu and Geoff Cameron teamed together in central defense to do their part in the U.S. men's national team's first-ever win on Mexican soil last week. It appears as if the two may be joining forces much more frequently for the foreseeable future. According to Rangers manager Ally McCo...
What if Klinsi and Low have already talked it out and agreed thhat Low will leave Chandler alone and Klinsi, knowing this, is being "patient" about it, but in reality he's just waiting for chandler to realize that Germany isn't going to call him up
USMNT Notes: Chandler uncommitted, Klinsmann discusses roster and more
photo by Floria Eisele/ISIphotos.com By FRANCO PANIZO If there was any lingering uncertainty as to the real reason Timmy Chandler turned downed cap-tying call-ups the past two summers, U.S. men's national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann put them to rest on Sunday. Speaking via a conference ca...

Altidore delivers double in AZ season opener
This summer Jozy Altidore said that his goal for the upcoming club season was to improve on his 22-goal campaign of last season. That seemed like an ambitious goal at the time, but based on how his new season has begun, it may be more realistic than we thought. The U.S. National Team striker...
I for one am actually gna go for Mexico. I always put our Region first in international tournaments, so if USA is not playing, then whatever team from our region has the best shot of winning, thats who i'll root for
Evening Ticker: Brazil reaches Olympic final, Suarez signs long-term deal & more

Americans Abroad: Weekend Rewind
By FRANCO PANIZO The result may not have been one to remember for most, but Hertha Berlin's 2-2 draw with SC Paderborn 07 will be a game John Anthony Brooks will never forget. Brooks, a U.S. U-20 men's national team centerback, made his professional debut for Hertha Berlin in their season-op...
I saw Gatt come off at the 51st minute? Anyway i wonder why they subbed him out so early into the game.
Also last weekend he scored for Molde as well.
Really glad Charlie can get a start, but with the emergence of Boyd, idk if he could ever get back to the NATS, i've always been one of his biggest fans and i will never ever lose hope in him until it's FOR REALS that he isn't coming back, if Gomez and Wondolowski can start getting looks at their ages, then why can't Davies get a chance later on as well? Idk thats what i think atleast
Americans Abroad: Weekend Rewind
By FRANCO PANIZO Herculez Gomez has picked up right where left off last season. The U.S. men's national team striker started his Apertura season with Santos Laguna by scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Michael Orozco Fiscal and San Luis. Gomez opened his season account after he ma...

FC Dallas demolish Timbers

excuse me i made a mistake
1. Jozy Altidore
2. Herculez Gomez
3. Chris Wondolowski
4. Terrence Boyd
5. Juan Agudelo
Boyd scores twice and delivers assist in Rapid Vienna's season-opening win
If Terrence Boyd was hoping to enjoy a solid performance in his professional debut at the club level, he did just that. And then some. Boyd delivered a Man of the Match-worthy performance in Rapid Vienna's season-opening 4-0 victory over Wacker Innsbruck on Saturday, scoring twice and setting ...

Also, i hope Josh gatt continues to do well, and hopefully he can get picked up by a bigger team in a year, or two or so. He can also be a big player for us in the future
Americans Abroad: A Look Ahead
Saturday provides another fresh start for Charlie Davies, one which he hopes is just the beginning of the turning point that launches him back to his form of old. A week after signing with Randers FC in Denmark, Davies, who has drawn the No. 8 jersey, has been named to the 21-man squad that ...
I really hope he makes the Starting XI. If he gets back to full form, and he can partner up top with Jozy, it can be a fun next 2 years and a half for USA. All our other strikers aren't in their prime years, Herc just passed his, and Agudelo, Bunbury, Boyd are all young and lack experience. I can't think of any other striker we have that's in the 24-27 year old range that could be a force for us up top.

Haha yah, i think the ref was too busy being mesmerized as to how high mattocks got
Must-See Goal: Darren Mattocks
It's good to see him and Charlie still kick it. I haven't heard much about Charlie, i wonder what's going on with him
KickTV: Altidore talks maturity, Klinsmann and more
That's like if in four years time the Olympics were in Los Angeles and whoever the genius coach was for USA decided to not bring in Kobe Bryant.
Mid-Day Ticker: Iniesta named MVP of Euro 2012, Team GB revealed and more
It was no secret that the most valuable player of EURO 2012 was going to be Spanish. It just wasn't clear which of Spain's stars it would. Andres Iniesta was named the player of the tournament by UEFA, leading a group of 10 Spanish players named to the 23-man team of the tournament. The 28-yea...

What should Beckham's punishment be?
David Beckham lost his cool, and now we will find out just how much Major League Soccer is willing to let its biggest star get away with. In case you missed it, Beckham deliberately kicked not one, but two soccer balls at San Jose's Sam Cronin as Cronin lay on the ground late in Saturday's L...

Euro 2012: Germany pushes Dutch to brink, Portugal strikes late to top Danes
By JOHN BOSCHINI Germany is making survival in the Group of Death look rather clinical. The Germans won their second straight tough match at Euro 2012, dispatching the Netherlands 2-1 behind two goals from Mario Gomez to maintain first place in Group B and all but seal their place in the knoc...
"It probably doesn't hit you that you're on the field until that ball hits the back of the net"

Euro 2012: Poland opens with wild draw, Dzagoev leads Russia over Czechs
Poland backup goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton was one of the longer shots to be considered a hero at any point during Euro 2012. After one match, he's a household name across Europe. Tyton entered for red-carded Arsenal goalkeeper Wojiech Szczesny and immediately stopped a Giorgios Karagounis pe...
I'm honestly tired of seeing torres and castillo, bring in Lichaj and Gatt. Gatt has had one full season under his belt IN EUROPE and i think the excuse "he's still young" for not bringing him in is lame because we brought in Juan Agudelo before he even got his first full start for club. Lichaj started for Aston Villa for the last 2 months i think and was playing very well, and i'm pretty sure he's alot better than Castillo.
Also i think i feel better if Goodson is back there than Gooch. I don't think we can play the 4-3-3 effectively unless we have wingers who can cut inside and dish off the ball to Jozy or whoever is playing the lone striker role.
