Stencil Week: Oldies But Goodies: Weekly Circles
I'm sharing my "Weekly Circles" stencil with you today! Here's a scrapbook page I made back in January 2013: I mixed up both the 12x12 and 6x6 versions of the stencil. I also designed a matching stamp set! The reason I designed this stencil and stamp set was Project Life. I love to cr...
My fav stencil is swatter. I have to admit, before your post today I probably wouldn't have felt that way. I like the simplicity of the design, yet when used in jelly printing it adds a totally different effect. I love the girl silhouette with the swatter used in the background. Looks like she is standing in front of a large window. Very cool. I would be thrilled to add either of these stencils to my (ever growing) collection.
Stencil Week: Oldies But Goodies: Swatter
You may have noticed that I didn't release any new stencils this Summer. I got a couple of e-mails from people wondering what it all meant. The answer is: absolutely nothing. I've had a really intensely busy Spring and Summer and I didn't feel I could give new designs my proper attention. I ...

Since discovering your blog and your art, I have been inspired to try different techniques - carving stamps, drawing faces, making my own patterned paper. But knowing how to use color is one thing that I'm often challenged with, and this comes from a gal who LOVES color! I sure would love to win a seat in you class!
Wishing you and yours a very blessed Christmas and New Year.
Getting Started with Color Mixing
Today I thought I'd share a little bit about the first class in my "Getting Started" series: Getting Started with Color Mixing. Question: Why is color mixing an important piece of knowledge? Three reasons: ONE: Knowing how colors will interact is key for layering. I work in lots of layers in...
I love art journalling for many reasons - freedom of expression, experimenting with different products and techniques, and knowing there are NO mistakes. If something doesn't turn out to my liking, I simply use it as a foundation and start something new right on top go it. What I love most of all is that art journalling takes me to my "happy place."
Thanks, Julie, for a chance to win Journal It. :-)
