Trust your instincts, you know your baby better than anyone. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
Gonna spend the night
Well, we're going to hang out here tonight. The ER doc left it up to us, because we know Ike and what his baselines are and all of that. My mommy instinct says to stay for observation, so that's what we're doing. The last time my mommy instinct said that, he ended up being bagged in a hallway. So...
That damn thing is called a Pigg-o-stat http://www.piggostat.com/new/default.asp. I'm a pediatrician and I even think they suck.
In the xray can
He's taking it sort of in stride. I am having bad flashbacks.

I have sat and talked with parents in your situation for hours as a pediatrician.
I'm sorry.
Just know that being in the PICU is the hardest thing you will ever have to endure.
Just know that the people taking care of your son are working their hardest to help him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Ike-a-saurus.
Oh, and by the way
When I went home to shower and see the kids, he pooped. The Colace prayers worked! And also, Colace Prayers sounds like a band name.
