Looks wonderful - I've been wanting to make ice cream. p.s. you will want to make a correction in your recipe though..you typed 'milk leaves instead of mint leaves'...

I love, love, love that post! It makes me smile...completely. I have worked @ one of the WA.state fairs for 12 years and this is my first year not to work there. I moved 5 hours away to my own little dream-like rural setting...w/that fair going on right now, I miss it. The Clackamas Co. Fair looks wonderful. ...thx. for sharing

Those pictures are completely drool-worthy!
I love that skirt, I don't think that I could have left that on the hanger either but it really is cuter and more versatile as a shirt. ...just darling!

I can really identify with that. I'm 46 and in my adult life I had never felt that feeling of 'home' until now. I actually did move home about a year and a half ago but I think the thing that has been missing for me is that I've just been living too close to the city. We've never had a home in the country until now. I love the quote that you posted especially the last sentence..."It's that I was born here, lived here - things have meaning for me." I feel like now I can be 'me'...if that makes any sense at all! ...and I like the 'me' that I've found, here in the country! ;-)

Thx. for the heads-up about the blog. {actually, there's a tad of sarcasm in that that you may not have caught!} ;-) Anyway...I love the doll. I made some dolls similar to that in the 90's and have been 'tempted so many times to make some contemporary' clothes for them. I have a definite soft spot for these type of Raggedy Anns. Great blog, Rolane!
it will be interesting when you realize that you're choosing menu items based on the available letters~ ;-)

I appreciate your sentiments re: set-up & tear-down and the loooonnngggg day - but I didn't think about the drunk drivers part (probably for the best). It was a hard trip home for me. You'll appreciate the paragraph I wrote about that on my post.

I used to tell my kids, if they weren't so dang cute they would be in a whole lot 'more' trouble. Your little guy is adorable in both pics but the post-cut pic definitely makes him look more grown up.

I dream of going to Market - so, for someone like me, it's great to get a sneak peak of what it is like. I would love to be in the same room with so many creative people! ;0)
