"On these grounds the Conservative Party should also be excluded since they bitterly opposed the formation of the NHS." No they didn't, I suggest you read who drew up the plans for the NHS and who opposed it at first (you may get a surprise)

maybe those 40,000 aren't really "represented" by their college, much as the unions claim all their members agree when about 3 do.

eh? Nigel, even before knowing the old bat was a raving Trot your comment is still completely wrong: SHE was the one who wouldn't listen and just shouted over him, he didn't quote statistics at all, he answered her question! Had she been a calm normal person I have no doubt Lansley would have had more time for her.

"Doctors and nurses probably know the NHS better than most and there are far too few of these in favour of the bill." Really? So when a Union says "ALL it's members did/said/want..." you always believe them, right?

"Plus rebel GP's and the Royal colleges will do everything they can to disrupt and destroy its inception" You put doctors and surgeons etc on the same level as petty partisan local councillors? Oh dear.

LOL! Marcuse, what are you on about...yes, he failed to get what he wanted; what he wanted, amongst other things was to help save them...they refused that help. What did you expect? Not get what he wanted so jump into the fire with them? What a warped world YOU live in!

"22% ahead is good in anyones book" Indeed but it isn't that impressive: even in the 2005 General Election (with New Labour being revealed for the shysters they were) the result was a 20% labour lead so here I think we are just seeing the anti-Brown 2010 election voters returning to their fold.

How about a gay Muslim that has publicly renounced Islam - in love with a hard-line IDF soldier (also gay) that he met at an anti-Obama rally - who escapes Gadaffi and tries to warn the UK of an evil EU climate/green tax/carbon trading plot. snow flake in Hell's chance?

The contribution to yesterday’s net migration figure of 239,000 made by UK and EU movements was just 21,000. This sounds good but can you elaborate a bit just to confirm that it IS as good as it sounds. Ta.

I agree! But let's spin it: Labour lose 10% of their vote! Conservative, LD, Green and Independent candidates all make gains! Bad day for Ed Milliband, heard to say "we must listen to what the people are telling us".

Clearly Tom has come up with some other not-new news re the hacking: he, the Guardian and the BBC are focused to say the least: no Mirror Trinity, No Guardian Group, No David Leigh...all NoTW. Surely they won't drag this out any longer...yeah, and pigs might fly...oh.

Conservative Home editor/comment checker, I suggest you send a-tracy's comment to any Conservative MPs you are in contact with. If you don't it could be construed that for some reason you too are part of the totally not-understandable and not acceptable behaviour of the BBC; WHY are Conservatives SILENT on this issue?

Peter, can you or somebody elaborate on the BBC news? I'm of the opinion that their bias is becoming more blatant but the Conservative MPs rarely say so. The BBC also seems to have New Labour bods on every hour every day with only an occasional Coalition figure (i.e. the complete opposite of when NL were in power when the opposition rarely got a look in.)

Malcolm, you are overreacting and exaggerating...to such an extent that I feel you must work for QT. It's a busted flush, it's needs reform or cancelling.
absolutely scandalous ROFL. eh? do you know what QT is? If I were in government I would broadcast in every paper/online and new channel exactly why I didn't/wouldn't/shouldn't EVER provide cannon fodder until QT and the BBC are reformed to be unpartisan. Absolutely scandalous is the way the bBc gets away with lies, omission, bias etc. Looking at the last few months you'd think New labour past and present were permanent fixtures.

This is tantamount to offering drugs...officer, take him away.

Hilarious. Not the exact wording but essentially the ridiclous nonsense reply I exepcted. The reply you gives an indication of at least part of the problem: mention discipline scream child beater, mention immigration scream racist. Think about it a little but more importantly just grow up.

very good Andrew, very good. However at least one excuse I have heard is barking up the relevant tree (to change a cliche!). Discipline: the slipper at Primary the cane at secondary help. Parental breakdown high divorce rates etc is a problem for many children but the lack of discipline handed out in schools exacerbated the 'growing' rebelliousness in today's yoof. A won't go on about the political side but there is one and lefty liberal happy-clappy, touchy-feely, hopey-changey thing IS part of the problem.

Please tell me this is a joke, a parody. Nobody 'really' thinks like this do they? Is it a troll comment to wind-up Conservatives? If not then please state the cuts that have affected the area, and the police cuts that have affected the area? Do you know what started the trouble? "Riots are enevitable" [sic] what utter tosh.

Some of the comments above seem to be from about 20 or so years ago when the National Trust was indeed the national trust. Since 2000 it seems to have become far more political, like so many once decent projects, a whining selfish lefty quangocratic outfits.

Glad you see the BBC as leftwing.

See my reply above P.S. The DT has been lefty for ages.

Think about what you write! You say "right-wing" media, so are you suggesting the media you link to consider themselves on a par with the "right-wing" EDL? Do you? P.S. Can I take it that any time something happens I can quote the DM as gospel and you'll approve?
