Hi Simple Stories fans! Rebecca Keppel here with one of my favorite Simple Stories releases A Charmed Life. I adore the colors, the designs and just everything about this new collection, but I especially love how versatile it is. You can make an everday card: You can make a more detailed layout: You can even make a pocket page spread! I based mine on Becky Fleck's amazing skecth available now at Pagemaps. How is that for versatility? This collection is perfect for boys and girls of all ages and all themes. I love how happy and sunny it is. Have... Continue reading

Hi Simple Stories Fans! Happy New Year! Rebecca Keppel here wishing you a wonderful start to 2014. Today, I want to talk more about the Daily Grind collection. The great thing about Daily Grind is that it is super versatile, colorful and fun--anything but a grind! While many people are finishing up their December Daily albums, I actually still had my November 30 Days of Thankful Album (from this POST) sitting on my table and decided to finish that first using the fabulous Daily Grind Collection. Just a reminder here was the cover: I added a die cut SN@P Daily... Continue reading

Here we are in the midst of December! Even though the holiday season is in full swing you still have plenty of time to make some fun holiday items with the Simple Stories December Documented. Start with a gift card holder on a Christmas card. These are super easy to make with the fabulous coordinating SN@P pockets. And make a litle treat box for any Christmas colored goodies. You can use one of the 4x6 transparencies from the December Documented Collection Kit punched into a circle to create a fun window to see the treats! And last but not least,... Continue reading

Hi Simple Stories fans, Rebecca Keppel here! I got very excited having my December Daily done already that I decided to start a November mini album to document my Thirty Days of Thankful. I started with a Brown SN@P 6x8 Album. And then I dipped into the latest Simple Stories masterpiece - Daily Grind. SIGH. Can I tell you how much I LOVE this collection. SO much. Like SN@P, this is a line I will be reaching for over and over. I love how the SN@P albums already come pre-loaded with the cutest pages like that brown and white polka... Continue reading

Hi Simple Stories fans! Rebecca Keppel here to share my take on the December Daily. Anyone who knows me knows that there is no way I get anything done early for Christmas. I procrastinate and wait until the last minute and then rush and barely make it through all I want to do and generally make myself miserable during what should rightfully be a joyous time. Well this year I will have ONE thing done ahead of time--my December Daily! Simple Stories makes planning ahead very easy! I started with a SN@P album in green and the Decemeber Documented collection.... Continue reading

Repetitive shapes used to create a background are super trendy right now, but you don't need an electronic die cutting device to create the look. A simple punch in a fun shape can be used too! I created this hexagon background with a hexagon punch and the Simple Stories Say Cheese collection: Using two punches of the same shape in slightly different sizes lets you turn your photos into fun shapes and your patterned papers into fun photo mattes. For these smaller shapes I use the 6 x 6 pad to include more of the design on each shape. And... Continue reading

Hi Simple Stories fans! Rebecca here to talk about your favorite new Simple Stories collection. Between Say Cheese, Smarty Pants and December Documented I can't choose a favorite, can you? They are seriously all SO amazing! So I wanted to share a little something from each collection. First up, Smarty Pants: I just adore all the fun elements like apples, crayons, pencils and stars in Smarty Pants. But I also love Say Cheese! And not to be outdone is December Documented. I am so excited to make all my cards... and layouts with this awesome holiday collection: I guess I... Continue reading

I simply adore the new Simple Stories line Smarty Pants. And with school gearing up for us in another week this collection came at just the right time! I had so much fun taking photos of my kids last year with chalkboards and their grades and only hope they will cooperate yet again! Of course the patterned papers are fabulous, but I adore the goodies from the Smarty Pants collection - chipboard, stickers and brads OH MY! And dont forget about the SN@P embellishments! Many of them can be worked right into the new collections just like this chipboard speech... Continue reading

Hi Simple Stories fans! Rebecca here to share a Life Documented project with you using both Maya Road and the Simple Stories line I {Heart} Summer. I think the greatest element of Life Documented and using Simple Stories products is that they lend themselves both to the simplest form of scrapbooking as well as the most complex. I have major time constraints like all of you and often I want to just get my photos scrapped. Enter the simple side of Life Documented (the Pocket Pages and SN@P cards that slip right in). And then sometimes I just want to... Continue reading

The I {Heart} Summer line is so fabulous that I could not wait for the official start of summer to start using it! Fortunately for me, living in the southwest means summer weather comes early and my kids were in the pool over Easter weekend this year! Do you ADORE all the new fun embellishments that the Simple Stories lines include? Like fun flair and brads... If you don't have an electronic die cut machine, the die cut pages are fabulous to add the same type of look without the cost. The chipboard stickers add just enough dimension... Super cute... If you are a traditional scrapper who doesnt want to make cards or mini albums, that's ok! But you can still use all the goodies made for cardmakers and mini albums. I like to find uses for 6x6 paper pads, stamps and book pages on layouts. I used the die cut Snap page for a photo matte. You can even use the punched holes in the page to tie some twine. Then I cut up the little bingo cards from the 6x6 paper pad. And the stamps were perfect for journaling. Have you been having fun with all the Simple... Continue reading

Aren't you all LOVING the new Simple Stories collections? I can't get enough of 24/Seven. I could use it over and over for everything. And having all the extra goodies with these new collections makes them all the more fun! The mix of letter stickers and the addition of chipboard stickers make such fun titles: The brads? LOVE them! They add such great etxture and dimension. And layered stickers? Total perfection! Last but not least, the 6x6 paper pads are not only great for card making. Here I used them to punch out butterflies to embelish my page. The smaller... Continue reading

Confession time. I am terrified of 2 pagers. Years ago, when I started scrapbooking, I made them all the time, but since those beginning days I became so much more comfortable with single 12 x 12 pages. But, I had a bunch of birthday pictures that I wanted to use up and thought it was time to try one. Simple Stories SN@P! actually made it quite easy. SN@P provides a rainbow of colors in the cutest patterns. Start with a mmixed font and color title, pop up some stickers on 3D adhesive... use a combination of mini alphas, punched pattern... I don't know about you, but I am thinking about using Simple Stories 24/7 on everything, everday! It is such a versatile collection and can be used on a photo a day project, cards and layouts on all themes. I used it here on a simple happy moment for my kids--feeding the ducks. All the little bits and pieces are so easy to use together on a wide variety of themes. See what I mean? Stickers with sayings you want to use, trendy patterns, cork patterned paper, hearts, hexagons.... and on and on! It really is a pleasure to use... Continue reading

Back when accordion flowers became the rage I tried to make them. Mine were dreadful. I was too impatient to fold evenly and definitely too impatient to fold thin enough to make them look really good. I still liked the look of them, but I gave up attempting to make them. Then I was introduced to a Scor-Pal and my woe is me days were over! Now I love making accordion flowers all over the place! For this layout I used 1 inch strips of Simple Stories Vintage Bliss and scored them at every quarter of an inch. I folded... Continue reading

The best time of the year is of course when new Simple Stories lines are released! Simple Stories really rocked CHA winter with three fabulous new lines. Starting off with the gorgeous Vintage Bliss: The fabulously versatile 24/7... I can see myself using this line on pretty much everything! And the super cool Urban Traveller... I am not a big traveller these days, but this line is also very versatile! I simply cannot wait to play more with all three of them! Continue reading

Love the layout--and the flair---and the photos!! I actually have most of a December Daily done for the first time ever--now let's see if I can take all the pictures and complete it!
With Thanksgiving right around the corner I am both thinking about the gifts we have that I am most thankful for, and getting into the holiday spirit. The RRBF line 25 Days of Christmas is perfect for these thoughts. And now is the time to get those holiday cards done... Continue reading

I think I may have admitted to not being a project lifer before. But that doesnt mean I dont love SN@P! Even us traditional 12x12 scrappers can use everything from the SN@P collection. And I am so glad because it is one amazing collection! Especially if you love scrapping everyday moments. One thing I scrap over and over is the personality of my kids. I dont know what is my favorite aspect of SN@P? The new bright color pallete? The fun new alpha stickers in medium.... and mini alpha? Or how about the set of label stickers? Actually I dont... We all know you don't need a themed collection to scrapbook a themed layout, but sometimes a themed layout actually requires a non-themed collection. For kids on Halloween....they NEVER get dressed up in scary costumes! They always pick the cutesy costumes that consist of non-Halloween colors. Rarely do I get a Halloween picture with the typical black, orange or purple anywhere to be found. What's a scrapbooking, Halloween loving Mom to do? Piece together a Halloween layout from other fabulous Simple Stories collections of course: I used bits from Harvest Lane and Take A Hike to piece together a... Continue reading
