So, and I'm paraphrasing here, "parenting is your job and you'll get free time in about 19 years." HUH? Ok girlfriend, it is time to put your foot down. Renegotiate. Draw some BOUNDARIES and stick to them. Your husband does not work 24/7. Why should you have to? Parenting is ALSO HIS job. Make him do some of it. And no one can wait 19 years for free time. Yes, daycare is expensive. No, you might not make as much as you'll spend on it. But work is about more than income. It's about self-esteem. It's about having something for YOU. You need to get you back. You've given it all up to them - kids, husband. THEM. Make a date to see the girls, then tell the hubby to be home to take over. And when he comments that he "let" you go, IGNORE him. Schedule an appointment to get your nails and hair done, and GO. Again, when he bitches, IGNORE him. You must take back what you've given away. It will not be easy. But if you wait a minute longer it will not get any easier. Wait, and you risk bitterness, resentment, and depression. All losses to you. Why should you lose even more???? You've already given up so much. Remember, if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. I will pray you find strength and courage. You need it. Your kids need you to have it. Your friends are here for you. Just tweet me, girl! S.

Now that's funny. I had no idea Jenny McCarthy was in the web version of the show, and I sat there watching the TV version thinking how perfect she'd be! I love Cheryl Hines and Megan Mullally, too, but overall, the show was just such a disappointment. Stiff, choppy, and flat. It's too bad, really. "In the Motherhood" is such a great title!

I am so fuckin' happy to hear all this. It's good to know there are lots of other moms who don't give a shit about saying shit in front of their, sometimes, little shits!

I know just how you feel about spring. I don't have allergies, but it's the worst time of year for my depression. Something about the warm breeze sends me straight down the rabbit hole. I fight back with exercise, and so I wish you all the best with the jogging. Sure do wish I had a lake to run around!
