I adore the little topknot on the cedar waxwing's head. They eat berries out of the trees surrounding our office building. We're on the second floor of the building and get to watch them out our windows.
A few more wild friends...
Here are a few photos I've taken over the past few days of visitors to the yard in the evening while I'm enjoying dinner out on the patio. This is a Cedar Waxwing. There were two of them enjoying a shower in a sprinkler I had running on one of the flowerbeds. Such a beautiful bird! We have l...
You lucky, lucky girl! Fantastic photos, as always.
Bluebirds!
I have a couple of bluebird pairs nesting around the house. One pair built their nest in an old house, hung high in a tree. Mama has been diligently sitting, and I've been hearing lots of noise coming from the house lately. This evening, I noticed Mama coming and going... ...and look what sh...
Anna, I was just admiring this card today. It's absolute perfection. Welcome to the best season of the year . . . fall!
Howdy!
I know it's been longer than usual between blog posts for me, and I'm sorry about that! Things are going to continue to be fairly quiet here on the blog for the next while. Working on a big project that is taking up my creative time. I'll get back to it tho, and I do actually have a few things...
Cute photos. :-) Twiggy's fur fascinates me. It looks soft, but I suppose it's kind of wiry, huh?
Bluebonnets and Dogs
Alan and I took Daisy and Twiggy out into the pasture this evening to get some photos of them in the wildflowers. Daisy didn't really want to cooperate, so I was only able to get a few photos of her that are even worthwhile. Twiggy did good at sitting, and smiling for the camera. ...
That bee is so cute! And the polka dots set her off perfectly. :-)

We're having a beautiful day of sunshine here on the farm. Wishing you much of the same. Happy Earth Day!
So sunny and fun and beautifully colored!
Bumble Bear
High Hopes is sponsoring the current Designed to Color challenge, on the DTC blog. As part of the High Hopes design team, I thought I would participate in the "inspiration" portion of the challenge. Find all the details about the challenge on the DTC blog. TGIF! Supplies Stamp: Bumble Bear ...
Their baby fluff is cute. Can't believe how fast they're growing! Wasn't it only a couple weeks ago that they were nodding off on your craft table? They look like Snuggles and Tutu to me.
They're Growing!
The goslings! Aren't they getting BIG! They are not the easiest critters to photograph, at this age anyway. They move very quickly, in random directions. *grin* I am really enjoying them. I haven't NAMED them yet, though.... *ugh!* I just can't decide! It would really help if I knew their ...
Precious! The sponging looks terrific, and that wide black border sets it all off. Great job!
High Hopes Challenge: Add a Border
The current High Hopes challenge topic is to add a border to your project! I chose to use this adorable pair of birds to create my card. Find all the details of this week's challenge on the High Hopes blog. Supplies Stamps: Landing Birdie, Perched Birdie, Nest, and Branch by High Hopes Rubb...
I love that shot with Dust and DB near the tree and fence. The light is casting such cool shadows on their backs. Too funny about Leia! If you had been trying to take her photo, she wouldn't have been so interested.
Dust Bunny and a Photobomb!
Favorite farm photo from this weekend: Dust and her baby, Dust Bunny! Bunny was 7 days old when I took this photo. And, we've got more Photobombing going on! I was trying to take a photo of Sweet Potato, who was looking so cute, and Leia jumped right in on the shot.
Great looking spring card! Love that stamp. Good luck with your garden work.
Just a note to say Hello!
I found this card in my files and don't think I've shared it with you yet. I used one of my favorite (and old) PSX stamps, along with a sentiment from one of my Whipper Snapper cling sets to make this card. I stamped the image in brown ink, colored it with markers, and inked the edges to "...
So clever and sweet! A little gift in a card.
High Hopes Challege: Grow Garden Grow
I am hosting this week's High Hopes challenge, and the challenge topic is Grow Garden Grow! For my project, I chose to use the cute flower seed packet image. I stamped the seed packet image on cardstock and colored it up using Touch Twin markers. I added the "Friendship" and "Seeds" words...
Cutie looks like a little fox. They are all so soft and precious! I love kitties.
Meow x 3
I am fairly certain your day wouldn't be complete without more baby photos, especially of KITTENS! This trio happens to be living in our equipment shed. Alan gave them a nice bed of hay, and they are happily out of the weather. Their mother is wild as can be, so we're a little surprised she h...
That is SOOOOO sweet! Mommy is working her over, and she's not too excited about it. Her name is adorable!
Dust Bunny!
We had a birth on the farm today! Dust, one of our Irish Dexter cows, delivered a dun heifer. We've decided to call her Bunny. Dust Bunny. *grin* She wasn't too hip to the idea of a bath so soon after entering the world. Her mother had other ideas. Sweet Potato and Leia were very cu...
This card is YOU, Anna, whimsical and full of country charm. Thanks for sharing.

Hilarious! Chickie not only got in the way of the camera, she fell asleep there! What fun and a darling bug card!
Photobombed!
I was working on getting some photos taken of the projects I made for The Stamps of Life, when I was photobombed. *grin* Care to see the card? I used the ladybugs2love from The Stamps of Life set to create this card. The "path" of the ladybug was created using twine. I used a small glue pe...
Hahaha! How do you think this stuff up?! Couldn't be any cuter! So funny.
Happy Easter!
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Easter!
Sweet Potato has a beautiful coat. And chubby little Leia is so cute. It's great to compare the two. Fun photos.
Sweet Potato's Growing!
I thought it might be time for an update on Sweet Potato, the young heifer calf we got just after Thanksgiving and bottle fed. Here she is "mowing" the backyard and enjoying the lush vegitation that grows in the drain field. You can see her horns starting to come in. She's getting so big! ...
What a little goof! Besides the silly-girl ending, she was quite amusing with her laps around the cow and the hay bale. :-)
One Wacky Goat (Video)
I was cleaning up one of my camera's memory cards and came across some video clips I took last summer. I thought I'd mash them together into a short video for you .... it just cracks me UP! Moose and I were just returning from a walk, and when we walked by the barnyard Callio-Pea was so funny! A...
Cracking up at your dad's comments! My parents were married in 1961, so they'll be celebrating 52 years this fall. Long time. Congratulations to your folks!
Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!
Wishing Mom and Dad a wonderful Anniversary! If I did the math right (and I've never been one for math), today they celebrate 43 years of marriage. UPDATE: Well, crap. *LOL* I had the year wrong AGAIN! One of these years I will remember that they were married in 1971. So, happy 42nd Annive...
Now if you had tried to pose Chickie with your card, she/he would have run off. Darling card and adorable photo!
High Hopes Challenge: Dots & Stripes
The current High Hopes challenge topic is Dots and Stripes! I chose to use Gardening Gertie for my card. The sentiment on the card is from one of my Whipper Snapper cling mount sets called Friendly Expressions. Appropriate, since this new little friend decided to pose for a photo! I thin...
Exactly what MicheleP said . . . I could watch you color all day! Totally fascinating. Little Annika is so sweet and old-fashioned. Love her!
Annika (Video)
Since the Touch Twin ARTisans are doing a blog hop today, I thought I would share a video I made of the coloring process and card assembly for my hop card. If you have trouble viewing the video here on my blog, you will find it here on YouTube. Enjoy! Supplies Stamp: Annika Ink: Memento Black...
Are you Irish? I am and love St. Patrick's Day. Your card is so cute, and the Irish blessing is lovely. I think I might start collecting Irish blessings . . . .
Wishing you Luck!
All of us here on the farm wish you luck and happiness on this fine St. Patrick's Day! We won't be having any green beer today, but we certainly will enjoy some green-shelled farm fresh eggs! And I think that's pretty fun! And speaking of eggs, are you keeping up with the daily egg count? W...
Wonderful! Great present, and great job setting the pole in. So special to fly the flag.
New Addition to the Farm
We've always had a flag here on the farm, but didn't like where it was hung and didn't really have any other better alternatives for a place to hang it. In the current location, it was easily tattered by the ever-blowing wind we get here -- either by the light pole it was mounted to, or the g...
