Hello, friends! With the new month comes a new Waffle Flower Challenge and this month we have an irresistible, bright and fresh color combo for you! Check all the challenge details here and don't forget to look up for a weekly dose of inspiration from the team every Monday. Here is what I have for you this month: Once again it was the bright and summery colors against a white background what caught my attention! I die cut three of the layers from the gorgeous Lacy Flowers die and made some gradient ink blending on each of them, and repeated... Continue reading

A card for June's Waffle Flower Challenge
Hello friends! Definitely time flies, and it's just time for a new Waffle Flower Challenge! You can check all the details here. And have you checked Waffle Flower Crafts newest release? It's a great one and there are new gorgeous dye inks with the coolest names! Ok, so this month's inspiration image is stunning, and can be "read" in so many different ways. For my card I used the colors, the florals and the bautiful golden glow of the picture itself. I stamped, masked and stamped again one of the blooms from Lotus stamp set, and did the same with... It's time for May's Waffle Flower Challenge!
Hello, friends! It's been a while since I stopped around here, but today I'm back to join the Waffle Flower Crafts May Challenge. There's a lovely inspiration picture and prizes awaiting, so stop by the Waffle Flower blog to check all the deets! Here is my card: My inspiration came from the colors and also the texture of some elements in the lovely picture. I started with a weaved 3D embossed panel that is inspired in the basket in the pic. Then, I used the outline succulents from Succulents stamp set. They were watercolored with distress inks to make an... Continue reading

Versatile Chevrons with Waffle Flower
Hello friends! Do you know what is better than one versatile product? Two versatile products! And what's better than two versatile products? Two versatile products that work great together! And that's the case with Waffle Flower Crafts Surface - Tag die - Starter Kit and the newly released Chunky Chevron die. I used the die cut chevron to give the basic tag a whole new look and create a fish tail tag. There's truly a million different combinations you can make with the chevron die. I decided to use two different sized chevron die cuts for my tags. First, I... Continue reading

Rain or Shine with Waffle Flower Crafts
Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card with Waffle Flower Crafts. I’ve said multiple times that one of the things I love is how easy and fun it is to combine different sets, and that’s what I did here. The mini Willy stamp set with the matching umbrella die goes perfectly with this sentiment from Rain Check stamp set, right? I started with the sentiment, and once it was stamped I fiddled around with the monkey until I found the perfect spot for him and the umbrella. Another thing I love is adding little and unexpected details. See the umbrella?... Continue reading

Merry, merry, merry!
Hello, hello! I have a fun Waffle Flower Crafts Christmas card to share with you today. I could really make Christmas cards all year round, that's how much I love this time of the year! I couldn't resist accesorizing the three cuties from Willy & Friends stamp set with all the fun stuff from Stocking stamp set and coordinating dies. I used the partial die cutting technique with the Willy & Friends dies to make the main panel. Once the monkeys were stamped and colored with Copic markers, I stamped, die cut and colored the accessories from Stocking stamp set.... Continue reading

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Waffle Flower Crafts
Hello there! It's been a while since I posted, right? A new baby in the house is no joke, ha! But here I am today, and I'm bringing two of my favorite things ever: tags and Christmas. The Waffle Flower Crafts DT is participating in Tracey's The 25 Days of Christmas Tags. Love this awesome idea. And here's my tag: I started with a white tag cut from Surface - Tag die - Starter kit. To spice up the background of the tag base, I used the straight lines from Magical stamp set to stamp a festive red and green... Continue reading

Clique Kits & Friends June Blog Hop
Hello there! Today the kind folks from Clique Kits invited the girls from the Waffle Flower Crafts DT to hop with them! I worked with the June Kit, called Dream Quest, which has lots of Crate Paper products and gorgeous embellishments. And even though it's a collection perfect for Travel themed projects, I chose to travel other paths... My first project is a card, using patterned paper from the Kit and stamps from Waffle Flower. I started covering a card base with that cool chevron paper and then trimmed one of the journaling cards from another of the paper sheets.... Continue reading

Tombow and Waffle Flower Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to the Tombow + Waffle Flower Crafts Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Jennie Garcia's blog or, if you got lost in the way, you can head to the hop start here. It was super fun to play around with Tombow's products, and they pair so beautifully with Waffle Flower's stamps and dies! Not to mention, a good array of adhesives is simply priceless when it comes to paper crafting. I have two projects today, so let's get started. First, there's a shaker card: The stars of the show are the gorgeous Doily Square stamp set... Continue reading

Hello, friends! All good things come to an end and...
Hello, friends! All good things come to an end and today is my final week as the May guest designer for My Favorite Things Card Challenges blog. I've had a blast! Not to mention how wonderful it has been to design along with that amazing DT and to work with Susan :) Here's this week's sketch: This time, instead of a card, I made a masculine gift bag playing with patterned paper, stamps and dies. And once again, my take on the sketch is very, very free, ha! I started adhering a patterned paper piece to the front of the... Continue reading

Guesting at the MFT Challenge: Sketch 229
Well, hello there! Wednesday means a new sketch at the My favorite Things Challenge blog and a new opportunity to stretch your creativity. Today's sketch is a great one with many interpretations: I turned it on it's side and exchanged the triangles for pretty flowers using a partial die cutting technique. You may think that I used colors a bit uncommon for this time of the year. Here's why: I live in the Southern Hemisphere and it's Fall here right now! Hence the autumnal colors :) For the background, I used one of my favorite tips for cardmaking. When in... Continue reading

MFT Challenge Guestie: Sketch 228
Good morning and happy Wednesday! I'm back with the newest My favorite Things Challenge. Another week, another sketch. Check it: My interpretation of the sketch was liberal. Very liberal, indeed, so let me explain myself ;) The stems replace the long rectangle and the flower tops were arranged in a slight semicircle to resemble the circle shape from the sketch. See? It may be a free interpretation, but all the sketch elements are in there. I had a blast mixing and matching the elements from the just released Build-able Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies. The stitched card base and... Continue reading

A Gentleman card: MFT Challenge guest designer
Hello there! Have I ever mentioned that May is my favorite month? Spring in full bloom, warm weather, my birthday... and the cherry on top this year: I'm the May guest designer at My Favorite Things Card Challenges! I couldn't be happier to get to work with Susan, and to play with the MFT May release, which has lots of cool products :) Ok, so this is what I came up with for the first challenge of the month (Sketch 227). Confession: Sometimes I have a hard time translating a sketch into a card. At that times, I always find... Continue reading

Inlaid die cutting with Waffle Flower Crafts
Hi everyone! By now, it's clear that one of the big hits of the last Waffle Flower Craft release have been the absolutely gorgeous doily dies: the square and the circle. They've quickly become a favorite, right? So I thought I would share and idea to get even more mileage from the doily circle die. I made some industrial engineering inlaid die cutting using the inner portion of the doily. To do this, I first die cut the doily from white cardstock, and carefully trimmed the outer parts. Second, I die cut the doily again from different cardstock colors and... Continue reading

Lots of daisies with Waffle Flower Crafts
Hi friends! The April release from Waffle Flower Crafts finally made it's way to me and I couldn't wait to share some ideas with you! One of the big surprises in this release are the new inks. They are amazing, and here's a card to prove it... I used the solid daisies from A Bunch stamp set to stamp a whole background using a few different colors from the Spring Blend and Summer Blend inkpads. The colors I used are 1, 3, 9, 10, 13, 14 and 16. The whole background came together super fast! I love stamping my own... Continue reading

Checking it twice...
Hi there! Today I'm at the Waffle Flower Crafts Blog sharing my love for list making. I made a card using On My Mark and Pattern Play stamp sets. Here's a peek: And I thought I could share here how to adapt the biggest frame from Surface - Tag die - Scallop Add on to any size you need. I'm sorry about the low quality pics, we've had the most horrible weather here so I had to use flash. Ok, first we need to die cut a frame. Next, we will cut the frame in two pieces. Depending on how... Continue reading
