Tipper, I have made blackberry jam the old fashioned way and many other types of jam as well. It's been a lot of years though. Since I am diabetic and hubby doesn't eat jam, I don't make it anymore. My daughter makes it for her family, but the new, modern way. Enjoyed your post and well remember jam in flour sacks. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, Tom T. Hall sure has written a lot of beautiful ballads. Many of them are my favorites. I didn't realize he had written for other artists as well, or if I did I had forgotten. Michelle loved the song, Sneaky Snake when she was young. He had a lot of great hits. Thanks for the interesting post. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, The chipmunk is probably the one pulling up your corn. I have never heard of crows digging holes, but I suppose anything is possible. Sorry that your corn test didn't work out, but looking forward to hearing how the others did. Take care and enjoy the coming week. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, I certainly enjoyed reading the article you wrote. It's interesting all of the things that grow naturally that can be used for medicinal purposes. As for the vocabulary test, I'm familiar with all of them and yes, I've been et up by mosquitoes and black flies. lol Enjoyed my visit, as always. Hope you and your family had a great 4th of July. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, It sure looks like you've got a bumper crop of squash this year. My favorite is butternut squash. Dad used to grow acorn squash and a couple of other varieties. It's been so long that I've forgotten, but do know he grew a couple of varieties. Enjoyed your post, as always and look forward to hearing about how the squash blossoms cook up. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, I am looking forward to the results of your test. Grandpa always planted by the signs. My favorite summer vegetable is corn on the cob with butter. Mmm! Can hardly wait until August when it ripens here. I've tasted a sweet, white variety. We no longer can get Seneca Chief here, which is what Grandma always planted. It was yellow, but sweet and delicious. Enjoy your garden truck. We've had leaf lettuce and green onions from our garden and the tomatoes have already started to form. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, I have never been bitten by a chigger and I think I will pass on that experience. lol We have no-see um's in northern Ontario. They are a type of black fly, but not chiggers. Anyone who hikes naked deserves to be eaten alive. lol Blessings, Mary

Tipper, I'm definitely a mountain person. I feel so close to God in the mountains. They steal my breath away. I have never been on the prairies but have seen them from a plane and I don't think I would like living out in the open. Here, we have rolling farmland and woods, so it is not open or close, but you can hide over the next hill. lol Love your memories, my friend and always enjoy my visits. Blessings, Mary

Tipper, When the provincial government sets their budget for the year here in Ontario, it is set. We won't see any cut in education costs until the next budget. I do expect that there will be some then. Who will suffer? Special needs children will be hit the hardest, I expect. Glad to catch up on some of your news. Sorry I haven't been to visit for a while. Have a great week, my friend and have fun with the girls over the summer. Love the stomping. Blessings, Mary
