Hi CFB, I did a workout at my new box in perth Southern CrossFit that is very similar to one that alot of people here will remember (or may have purposefully blocked out). Remember WOD #2 at the Hard'nup challenge, it was: AMRAP 10 Mins: 7 x SDHP (50) 7 x Burpees We did this one today but it was AMRAP 15 and it hurt just as bad. At the challenge I got 9.5 rounds with 40Kg and this time I got 12.5 rounds with 50Kg, I think this is an improvement so am pretty stoked. Hope everyone at CFB is doing well and making improvments. Well Put Clay! Highlights for me were putting all the faces to the names that I see on the forums and them all saying "oooohhhhhhh.... so you're are AJ". Seeing the top competitors in the same heat was incredible too because it really puts your own level of fitness into perspective. I think I loved to see most of all though was the support everyone gave each other. as corny (always hear it on the footy comentary) as it sounds the atmosphese was electric! AJ
it was a deadlift ladder. The females started at 80Kg and went up in 2.5Kg intervals, and the fella's started at 145Kg and went up in 5Kg intervals. The winner was the heaviest percentage bodyweight lift. I can't remember what the girls managed to DL but Pete Maxwell managed 220Kg which I think was a little over 2.3 times bodyweight. AJ

G'day Karel, I met you the other Saturday at one of the team WOD's (the lunges, p-press, KB swing, Burpee WOD). Looks like we are in the same heat. It's gonna be heaps of fun. I don't think I have met many of the other guys from heat 3 but look forward to meeting a bunch of other CrossFitters. See you all tommorrow, AJ
G'day CFB, I have a question and thought the collection of minds down there might be able to help me out. I have read all the CF Journal articles about hand care and taping it up, and what to do if a callus tears away. They also mention something about wearing your calluses smooth. I have tried using a pumice stone but found it to be a bit too smooth. There is a picture on one of the journals where there is an athlete using some kind of cheese grater looking device to wear his calluses down. where can you get one of these "cheese graters", and is there anything else you can use to get these calluses down. JB, is a pretty good resource for the zone diet in Australia. They sell all of Dr. Sears books there. I ordered and read "The Anti Inflamation Zone" and it was really good for explaining the diet in a way that idiots like me can understand. Even Jason Khalipa drinks coffee... I saw it in a video! That is an awesome video!!! Danny and the 12PM crew, I had a great time training with you all at the start of the week. I only wish I could train with you all more often (I live a bit far away). Hi CFB! This was a tough one! I used 20Kg for the walking lunges but couldn't use the 15Kg on the pull ups so just did unweightd dead hangs and I struggled enough with that. Finished the four rounds in 23:35. AJ
