I've been watching the Firefly series (originally came out in 2002). It's great if you like sci-fi type stuff. The guy that plays Rick Castle is in Firefly. I keep looking at iPads but already have two laptops, a Kindle and a phone that does everything except cook breakfast.

The pictures at Greer Gardens make me miss living in western NC even more - beautiful rhododendrons there, too. Love the way the sweaters are looking so far. Sanguine Gryphon is one of my all-time favorite yarn companies.

I have some Qiviuk that I've been hoarding, waiting for the perfect pattern. I probably need to revisit this plan...

And a very Merry Christmas to you. I'm so looking forward to another year of your wonderful patterns in both the Art & Sole club and the Illuminations Colorwork club...cheryl

It is truly a beautiful pattern! I brought the yarn with me to Michigan (visiting son & family) with the hopes of getting it cast on finally. The Bugga yarn is just perfect for it, too...cheryl

I'm definitely interested in the sock club!!!! Can't wait to hear all the details...cheryl
I love Michael & Sheila Ernst's glassworks!!!!!! I keep drooling over their needles, but rarely (if ever) knit with straight needles anymore and not with sizes larger than a 2 or 3. I had contacted them about smaller sizes, but they said they weren't able to make the smaller sizes because they would be too fragile. They are so beautiful. I don't spin, but would love to have one of those spindles as art...cheryl

OK, I can't stand it any longer and ordering a set of the DPNs for myself. I keep looking at them and drooling over them, but was really wanting circulars, too...cheryl

I usually work on socks throughout the year for gifts. I'm doing some amigurumi this year for the first time and having fun with them...peachesforever on Ravelry

Beautiful sock, very symmetrical. The name must have something to do with Frank Lloyd Wright as it was the name of one of his homes...cheryl
Nice cast on!!! I'll try this next time I'm starting a new project...cheryl
I bought the Intwined Pattern Studio for myself several months ago because I had agreed to design a pair of fingerless mitts for a mystery KAL - what was I thinking??? It really does seem to be a useful piece of software that I have been having fun playing around with. Did you happen to see on their website that there is an update available? Hope you are feeling better...cheryl

I've flown into Salt Lake City airport several times and totally agree with you. It is so pretty, like your Changelings...cheryl
That would be such fun to attend, but afraid I can't get it to fit into my schedule or my bank account. I'm going to a glove retreat in May already, but would love to attend one of your classes some day...cheryl

I've been enjoying the Olympics, too. My knitting is so far behind that I don't even know where to get started trying to catch up. The Changeling is a gorgeous pattern and yes, you deserve to knit a pair for yourself - or even two pair...cheryl (peachesforever on Ravelry)
