Sorry, I couldn't resist that title. :) With 4 sons and 6 grandsons, we HAVE to be Star Wars fans, right? Just thought I'd share what's happening in my yard right now.... Yup, bees! They're good for my big ol' garden, good for the shrinking bee population in the world.... and you get honey! What could "bee" better? I purchased these hive components from Shastina Millworks at their "dent and ding" sale after the Southern Oregon Beekeeper's Bee School class a few weekends ago. The hive boxes were unfinished pine. I really DID try to paint them plain white... I... Continue reading

It's been awhile! I had ankle surgery shortly after that last blog post in 2012, and didn't think it was a good idea to blog while on pain meds, lol.... and then apparently got completely out of the habit. I've had a number of surgeries/recoveries/medical problems in the last 3 years and through all of that, I think it was just easier to not blog. That's it in a nutshell. But I've missed you all! I wanted to let you know we've updated the website and done some cleanup on it.... so if you haven't checked it in awhile, be... Continue reading

We ended up deciding to go ahead with the rafting trip.... here's where we were: That's Blossom Bar on the "Wild and Scenic" portion of the lower Rogue River. Probably my favorite spot on... Wow. Has it reeeeally been that long?! I normally work on my blog in the evenings.... and as you can see I haven't had a spare evening lately. Let's see.... since I talked to you last I've manufactured a zillion tin pins for orders (they went really well at CHA), made lots of pretty wedding decorations my son's wedding, been blessed with two visits by the bride, had the whole family home for a visit, been to Hawaii for our son's wedding, (in between finalizing and checking the website) and sadly....had a family member steadily decline in health and pass... We're back from the Cincinnati Stampaway show and I thought I'd share a couple of photos from the Friday night Preview Party. The theme this year was "Flower Power"...which could be interpreted several different ways... hippies, 60's theme, or flowers. Greg Smallwood from Marco's Paper always comes up with amazing, involved costumes, but I think this one tops them all: Well, hello Sunshine! I didn't realize how uncomfortable it was for him until I read his blog... now that's true dedication! Our own Ted and Michelle {and many of our crew members from Stamper's Anonymous, Darcie's, Inky Antics and Art... Continue reading
