Happy Birthday to CONSERVATIVEhome not bloody KIPPERHome.
This (above) is how the page should be set out from now on - not all those silly little thumbs up and thumbs down, which the Kippers manipulate with their "friends" from the old people's homes up and down the country!
Today is ConservativeHome's eighth birthday
By Tim Montgomerie Follow Tim on Twitter Clockwise from top left, some of our key images from the last eight years: A man trapped in a closed room only able to talk about tax, crime, Europe and immigration; a warning that Labour governments raise debt, taxes and unemployment; the huge challeng...
I personally think Nigel spoke not just for UKIP but for the British people as a whole, and as Huxley said above, he was quite sympathetic to Cameron.
I did read this week that Mr Farage is supposed to be winding UKIP up and returning to the Conservatives in return for a safe seat - I sincerely hope there is some truth in this?

Roger states "Charity is not politics but the opposite of politics. It is not an attempt to control people, to create a new political order or to impose an ideological agenda. It is an offer of help, from one body of citizens to another. Recognising this, the English law has defined charity as a sphere of its own, outside the activity of government"
I agree with those points Roger, as my wife works in the charity sector - but as a staunch Conservative it pains me to say that "we" are as guilty of manipulating so called charities to suit our political agenda as the Labour Party are - and I am thinking one particular "charity", which is ASH.
ASH does nothing truly worthwhile and just bows to Party Policy while getting handsomely rewarded by the taxpayer.
Roger goes on to say "This is the very opposite of charity, in which people give their time, energy and resources for free, in order to help their neighbours along a path that the neighbours themselves have chosen"
ASH are not there to help their neighbours along a path that the neighbours themselves have chosen - just the opposite in fact, they are there to order and bully their neighbours into doing exactly what they say, at the behest of their political masters.
Is there any way, Mr Scruton, you can see that we can challenge this so called "charity"?
Charity
By Roger Scruton. Charity is not politics but the opposite of politics. It is not an attempt to control people, to create a new political order or to impose an ideological agenda. It is an offer of help, from one body of citizens to another. Recognising this, the English law has defined charity ...
Bit silly really - but not as silly as the young lady who described him as "good looking"
Posh? - Maybe. Not posh? - Maybe. Good looking? - Definitely not!
Mancunians - in an unscientific Daily Politics poll - are divided over whether Ed Miliband is too posh
Oh yes - pull the other one Ed. With the Big Len now talking up a storm this leaves Red Ed and his party dead!
Ed Miliband insists union leaders are not pulling the Labour Party's strings
I don't believe I am hearing this, from Labour, the party who instigated the selling off of our playing fields - Labour who banned competitive sports. You can fool some of the people some of the time Mr Brennan - but don't push your luck!
The government is scoring a series of "own goals" over school sports, says Labour's Kevin Brennan
How on earth would Ed Balls know that simply giving the banks money doesn't solve the problem?
Balls has never solved a problem in his life - he's created many but solved - Never!
Ed Balls: "Simply giving the banks money doesn't solve the problem"
And still Labour refuse to denounce this "man" - what has happened to our country?
Boris Johnson to Ken Livingstone: "You've got to stop lying"
And that - ladies and gentlemen is straight from the horses mouth!
If Livingstone thinks that Cameron is telling lies about him, now is the time for him to stand up and demand a public appology!
Will he - won't he? Watch this space!
Boris pays his taxes and Ken Livingstone doesn't, says Cameron
I didn't think he had it in him - well done Nick!
Nick Clegg: "In government, the Labour party ran out of money. In opposition, they're running out of ideas"
Crikey - Nick Clegg talking good common sense - has he finally seen the light?
Nick Clegg: Under Labour people lost their benefits if they did work experience
Of course they are all left-wing militants Winston. They are part of the same rent-a-mob that usually pops up on here whenever the NHS is mentioned. I thopught it was quiet on here today - they were all there trying to derail the Government - and using the NHS as an excuse for it
Hostile protestors greet Andrew Lansley as he arrives for Downing Street NHS summit
and what came out of her mouth sounded like she had a severe case of the "trots"
Hostile protestors greet Andrew Lansley as he arrives for Downing Street NHS summit
What a ghastly mob that was. I have no particular liking for Lansley - but he shouldn't have had to face a baying rent-a-mob like that, and that woman should have been moved on by the police!

What on earth has happened to MI5 or is it now MI6? In the old days they would have sent someone to have a little chat with Mr Qatada in the middle of the night - and hey-presto no one would have seen him again!
Boris Johnson: "The sooner that we find a way of getting Mr Qatada to Jordan... the better"
Prescott has certainly got experience in breaking the law - I'm not too sure about upholding it!
Lord Prescott: "I think I've got more experience than any candidate likely to be standing" as a police commissioner
I have been saying exactly this for the last couple of years.
I love the way Nigel stands up for us in the European parliament - I wish we had Conservative meps who would act as tough!
I have met Nigel and he is a thouroughly likeable man, and one who I would love to see join us as a Conservative!
Is Farage's UKIP a one-man band?
Couldn't see the video - but going by the lead comment: "Daniel Hannan: The EU wants everybody to copy it"
The big problem that I see here is we do all copy the EU, who will be left to pull the flush and turn the lights out?
Daniel Hannan: The EU wants everybody to copy it
That sounds good to me WTP - why don't you propose it to Guido Fawkes?
David Cameron: "It was the last Labour government... that agreed an RBS bonus pool of £1.3billion"
As David said "Some people might call it opposition - some people might call it hypocrisy"
I have another word for it, which is "deceit"
David Cameron: "It was the last Labour government... that agreed an RBS bonus pool of £1.3billion"
I don't know how Milliband had the audacity to stand up and say that growth has been flat-lining in our economy since well before the €urozone crisis? We all know the answer to that - yes it was "well" before the €urozone crisis - in fact it was the Labour Government Crisis that started it and which we inherited - does he really not know this or is he as thick as he looks? And to have his little playmate "Balls" sitting next to him wagging his head like the John Prescott dog in the back of a car only rubs more salt into the Labour wound. But having said that - please don't leave us Ed - you are our WMD for the next election!
Ed Miliband: "Growth has been flat-lining in our economy since well before the €urozone crisis"
I will certainly be grasping it, as I live in London, and will be paying for the damn thing!
Jeremy Hunt: Everyone in the UK should "grasp the opportunity" offered by the Olympic Games
I agree that we should be focusing on their record and their goal of doing damage all over again - but it is also about time we started showing them up on every single mistake they make, just like they do with us.
Abbot made a racist remark - she did not speak about a political viewpoint, she spoke about a "race" of people, i.e. "white people" and she spoke about those people in a derogatory manner.
What made her remark even worse was the fact that she made it to coincide with the Steven Lawrence case. In other words, she tried to jump on the "anti-racists" bandwaggon - but she boobed badly and ended up on the racist bandwaggon instead!
Miliband rings Abbott live while she is being interviewed
Nick Clegg is an absolute disgrace - and should be fired immediately!
The Centre for Social Justice attacks Clegg for anti-marriage speech
By Tim Montgomerie Follow Tim on Twitter As you can read on today's ConHome frontpage Nick Clegg is using a speech to attack Tory policy on marriage and family life. 10 Downing Street interpret the speech as an attempt by Nick Clegg to quell unrest within his party after last week's EU veto. Dav...
An "olive branch" to Nick Clegg?
An olive tree falling on top of him would be more appropriate!
Andrew Lilico: Don't buckle yet, Mr Cameron!
Reacting to Lib Dem disquiet about the veto, newspapers today carry multiple reports that David Cameron is about to offer an "olive branch" to Nick Clegg. As the Telegraph puts it: "Mr Cameron is also preparing to make a significant concession to Mr Clegg and his party on the way Britain deals...
