I'm going to guess David Lynch, as that seems to be the popular consensus. From his body of work, I'd have to say that Mulholland Drive is probably my favorite (I can vividly remember watching this on my friend's couch in college, all of us going "WTF?!?" but trying to be all cool & "duh, I knew that all along.") I've never seen Dune or any of Twin Peaks, but I know I would love them, if given the opportunity.

In other news, the sun announced that it rises in the morning and sets at night.

Yes, there were definitely some bits that made it obvious that it's his first time at the party, but over-all I think he did a great job. With time I can see him becoming a very talented director, I hope he gets to take the helm at Chuck again soon. (And thank you for correcting Ellie's name. I am so embarrassed to admit how much it was bothering me.)

YAY Chuck! I think this was one of the best episodes to date, and great job Zach Levi on your directorial debut! So much to love about this episode, I think it's (dare I say) Awesome that everyone thought Devon would be able to keep it together with Chuck's secret, and that's obviously not the case. Then everyone doubts Morgan, but he's way more put together than Devon could ever hope to be. Yay for the little bearded man. Sidenote: I love your recaps, but it is driving my OCD mind absolutely bonkers when you write "Elle" instead of "Ellie." Seriously, just reading it is making me incredibly twitchy. (I really wish I were kidding.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellie_Bartowski

Chuck is the first (and so far, only) show that I actually hand wrote letters to the network to try and help save. So far, season 3 has not disappointed. :-) My only complaint isn't even aimed at the show, but at the fanatical shippers who went APESHIT over Chuck and Sarah both "moving on" to other people at the end of the last episode. Hello, there's a reason those actors are "guest stars," it's because they won't be around all season. It's all about the story arc, can't wait to see what they've got in store for the remaining episodes. (and Yay for recaps!)

While there are many gems of wisdom to be culled from Steel Magnolias, I think the one that should be tacked on to the golden rule is Shelby's quote of her father: "Daddy always said, 'an ounce of pretension is worth a pound of manure.'" I live by this rule, and it has served me well.

Praise The Lord! Ugh, I've been so sick of his smarm and was horrified when they brought him "back" in the prime time slot. I can not stand his crude version of "humor" which should really be called "taking pot-shots at celebrities and kicking people when they're down." I can only hope that NBC will be able to jiggle their lineup back into some semblance of normalcy, putting L&O:SVU on at 8pm on Wednesdays had it competing against Glee & Modern Family for DVR space as my machine can only record 2 shows at once. As much as I girl crush on Olivia Benson, and have for a decade, that was a losing battle. Please NBC, axe Jay, and give some other shows (like Chuck!) a chance to shine. He's WAY past his prime, and I'm not alone in wishing he'd go softly into that good night.

I'm not opposed to some kind of regulation that would require disclosure, but is anyone actually shocked that Britney lip-syncs during her concerts? Do you not know know what you're getting into when you buy tickets to see her show? My sisters are hard core in love with BritBrit & plunked down their cash to see her show last spring. They knew darn well that they were paying to see the (literal) circus that she put on, and for them it was worth the price of admission. I'm more shocked to learn that there are people that think she can sing without the assistance of auto tune and heavy production. I think John Mayer said it best with his tweet on the subject: "If you're shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you."

I think I've texted my sister about a million times today saying "TEN DAYS!!!!" over and over, because I just can't help myself. I should go sit on my hands and watch PBS or something, but I know it won't stop my mind from wandering to delicious EDWARD and OM NOM NOM JACOB- see, there I go again. I need a cold shower. (A cold sparkly shower? GAH I CAN'T HELP MYSELF!)

At the time I thought "hey, what a coincidence!" because their episode of Wife Swap had aired just a day or two ago on Lifetime. (Shut up, don't judge. I had Grey's Anatomy on while I was sewing, and didn't bother to change channels as Medium & then Wife Swap came on.) I remember thinking "wow, what a monster" in regards to the father; the wife who was staying with him was fairly horrified at what he considered "Woman's work" and she stated how sorry she felt for his real wife. I thought so too. . . until they showed her over with the other family, SCREAMING at the husband when he disagreed with her. It was just, unsettling. After watching that episode, NONE of this is surprising at all.

OMG, that FanPop list is too much. I am literally laughing out loud at the ridiculousness. My favorite is this cake: http://images2.fanpop.com/images/forum/40000/40950_1251144669167_full.jpg

Yup, been there. My ex even refrained from buying me one as a Christmas gift because he knew I wanted to get it for (what I thought would be) our wedding. 6 months after my heart was thoroughly obliterated by said ex, I said to hell with it all. Bought myself a gorgeous piece of high end luggage. Took my best girlfriend on a week long vacation. And when my birthday rolled around, I bought the KitchenAid. It's lovely, and brings me so much joy. To me it doesn't represent giving up on love, but choosing first and foremost to love myself and be happy.
