I have made a few quick cards but didn't take any pictures. Lot's of news on the homefront. Roland is being relocated to Kingston which is four hours away. I am going to stay here for a few years until Erica and Dakota are settled. Erica has finally picked a career path so she will be going to school in September. She will follow her Dryden and Roland's career of choice and be a Power Engineer. It will be difficult for her but hopefully she sees the rainbow at the end of the tunnel and sitcks with it. Drydent hated... Continue reading

I am so full of joy today. I am on holidays for a week. Wahooooooo. Normally we cruise this time of year but we are holding off until spring hoping that we can go as a family. We are waiting to see if we can all get vacation at the same time. Not doing much this year but Roland and I are going to the States on Sunday and coming back late Tuesday evening. My sister, mother and I are going over early in the day and Roland is meeting up with us after he is done work. I am... Continue reading

Last year I didn't make any Christmas cards at all. I was so mad at myself, Christmas is my favorite time of year and I have so much stuff but I just couldn't get my mojo going. I have been in the mood to stamp lately and my stamping space is such a mess that I am constantly hunting for supplies. My family weren't to happy with me yesterday, I made supper and took over the kitchen table so they had no where to eat. They figured it out, after all they are all adults now and I wasn't moving... Lots has happened and life got in the way but I have been in the mood to stamp for while so I thought I'd hop back on the blogosphere!! My computer broke so I had to get a new one and needed to save up as the one I wanted was very expensive. I broke down and went with Apple. Glad I did, it's so easy to use and I love my new Macbook. The thing that set me back is Mac doesn't have "Paint" and I was so used to working with that. I had to get start using... Continue reading

One of the girls that i work with is graduating from the dental hygienist program this month. I am so happy for her but a bit sad that she will be moving on to bigger and better things and leaving the company. I think this has to be one of my favorite stamp sets. It is so versatile and I have used it a few times. Supplies: Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishers, Elements Of Style; Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette; Ink: Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi Marker, Pink Pirouette Marker, Soft Suede Marker; Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing... I made this card using two challenges. I used the layout used on the Stamping 411:Saturday Sketch Challenge 203 and the colors from the The Paper Players Challenge #46. I didn't have any Early Espresso so I used Soft Suede. I have three packages of Soft Suede because I keep ordering it in error meaning to get the Early Espresso. I'm not sure about the colors, I tend to go for something a little brighter. I used the, "One Minute to Wow" video over at Stampin' Pretty for the color frame behind decorative label punch. Mary has some great short... Continue reading

I hope you like my new blog layout. The wonderful Michelle Laycock designed it for me. I am very happy with the results. If you need a face lift then I highly recommend her. I was finally in the mood to stamp today. I had started this card last week and used my brayer for the first time. I needed to clean up my stamping space before I could start, I couldn't see my table for all the clutter. I was almost finished when I spilled an entire can of pop all over the table. I ruined a couple of... Continue reading

It sure has been a busy week. I haven't had any time to create anything so I am posting the final Easter card that I made a few weeks back at my workshop. I did find time to get together with Penny and use my Copics. Still trying to get the hang of it. My sister Tracy and I spent the day together on Thursday and we went to Toronto to the Yorkdale Mall. I feel like a redneck when I am there. The mall is huge and has every store you can imagine, we get so lost and always... Continue reading

I was so happy to finally see the weekend. Penny came over today and she made a few cards using the supplies I had cut out for the card class. I am still trying t convince her that card making is fun LOL. We celebrated Roland's birthday by letting him cook for us. We let the birthday person pick what they want for dinner and he wanted to have a barbecue. Since I refuse to barbecue and Dryden had to work that left Roland to cook his birthday meal. Since it was cheaper than going out he didn't mind at... Continue reading

This is the second card we made at my card class last week. It is using the printed petals clear stamp set and the petite petals wheel. I purchased the class from Jenny Moore and I will show you the other two next week. Penny and I decided to change it up this week and instead of her showing me how to use copics, we are going to make the other two cards from the class. I won't show them until she makes hers so she has a bit of a surprise. Volleyball is officially over and our team came... Continue reading

No, you're not losing your mind, LOL. It is Saturday but I thought I would create today using the set Strength and Hope. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch for my inspiration. I kept going back and forth with different colors but this is what I ended up using. Sarah is having a party for Dryden tonight with all their friends. Dakota came home again this weekend which is nice to celebrate with them. Now that Erica is of legal age they invited her too. Roland and I didn't get invited. I guess we are not hip enough to party... Continue reading

I bought this set and wheel a few months back and saw Jenny Moore's stamp class. I purchased the class and had a few friends over for my first stamp class. Since I had never done this before I wasn't sure what to expect. I found it was a little to advanced with all the cutting and detail so they were only able to complete two but they were all happy with the results. My nieces are into crafts and I was okay with having Tianna who is 15 but really unsure about having my younger niece Mikita who is... Continue reading

What a crazy week. I didn't get any taxes done but I did get a few walls washed. It didn't really feel like spring cleaning, we had another storm on Wednesday and got a lot more of the white stuff. The schools were closed, not that it matters for me anymore but Penny didn't make it over so looking forward to that this week. 3 more days of sale-a-bration and then it's gone for another year. It's my favorite time of year, I love getting free stuff. I was starting to lose my mojo so I thought I better stop... Continue reading

Dakota needed a thank you card for one of his professors. He wanted it the McMaster University school colours, burgundy and grey. It's not my favorite colour combo and not enough layering for me but he is happy with it. I guess you don't want a lot of bling coming from a male. I talked him into the silver pearls so I thought I best not push my luck. We finally got our new windows installed this weekend and Roland and I can't stop playing with them. It's nice to have two window that open in the living room. Our... Continue reading

Have any of you been watching American Idol? I know it's Monday but I came across this when I was looking for something on utube. Chris Medina did not make the top 24 but his story is heart wrenching. I hope this man gets everything he wishes for. Dryden and Sarah are back from Jamaica. They had a great time, nice and tanned and of course Sarah is all stressed over the 3lbs she gained. Her and Erica are off to exercise class. Saying the word EXERCISE is the most I get lately. Volleyball is cancelled again tonight. The schools... Continue reading

I spent all afternoon in my stampin space and thought I would make something bright and summery. It is my take on the Mojo Monday sketch. A little late but it was fun to make. It has been raining here for the last few days and I was happy to see all the snow disappearing. Was I ever shocked when I came upstairs after a few hours and there was another blanket of snow covering the ground and it continues to snow...blech. I am so sick of the cold. I really shouldn't complain and be thankful it is just snow... Continue reading

The owl stamp and the happy birthday scallop square are from sale-a-bration as well as the DSP. I love the way this card turned out, nice and bright and spring looking. I am so excited for the clocks to change on the weekend. That extra hour of light just seems to give me more energy. We won two of our three volleyball games last night so first place looks pretty secure for our team. One of the guys on the other team spiked the ball so hard at Erica last night that everyone just glared at him. It is a... Continue reading

Happy Sunday to ya!!! What a blah day. It was raining all day yesterday and I had a headache that finally broke last night. The gross brown snow was almost gone and I was so looking forward to seeing the brown grass. I woke up this morning and we were all covered in the S word again. I am done with the snow and looking forward to changing our clocks next weekend and getting some nice weather and more daylight. Dryden and Sarah are on their way to Jamaica right now and I am so jealous. I hope they have... Continue reading

Happy Wednesday to Ya. I have been so busy and finally had a little time to stamp today. A few girls from work went out on Saturday night and we had a great time. We went to an Italian place in the Falls called Mick and Angelo's. I was disappointed with the food but the company was great. We then went back to one of the girl's place and had a few drinks and for whatever reason sat around and told ghost stories. I am not afraid of ghosts and am sure we had one in our house growing up... Continue reading

I don't have a card to show today and probably won't until the weekend. Yesterday of course was Valentine's Day and I hope everyone had a honey of a day. I took my niece, Tianna to the dentist, she had two fillings and my sister is a big cry baby when it comes to needles. She had poor Tianna so scared I thought the kid was going to faint. She handled it like a trooper and all is done. I have this thing with my nieces ever since they were little that if anyone hurts them I will kick their... Continue reading
