There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing a woman transform right before my eyes. It's far beyond just having hair and makeup done - it's more like watching a butterfly emerge from its cocoon. Every year, the amazing Skip Cohen, puts on one of the most comprehensive, intensive photography conferences of the year, Skip's Summer School. I attended for the first time last year, and I knew that this year I could not (would not) miss it! I was preparing my camera settings for the next part of our shoot. I heard the clicking of her Mary-Janes as she walked out of the dressing room, and looked up. There she stood - more than a full foot taller than me! I knew at that moment I needed to showcase all 6 feet 2 inches of her (in her heels). And there was only ONE shot I wanted to get. Happy Friday lovelies! I have been playing around with different lighting styles in and looks in my Boudoir shoots as of late and I am absolutely loving the look and feel of this natural light feathering. I LOVE how the light falls off her body and disappears into the luscious shadows and background. I especially love that the eye isn't distracted by anything other than the gorgeous subject. I read my "New Client Inquiry" email from Mlle J and pretty much did the happy dance when I saw she worked at La Vie En Rose....how perfect was that? No need to suggest where she could buy lingerie for her shoot, that was for sure! I might even admit to having had a slight pang of jealousy flush over me.
