I feel like a luddite, I read Sean's email several days ago and rescanned it today and I still do not understand Kannbrown's comment about "following" meaning something now. Please explain. Sorry to be dense.

Interesting. NPR is my favorite news source. I am following this with a great deal of interest. Toyota probably deserves this fine because of their delay in notifying owners. I am particularly interested in accounts that these problems may be arising from the electronics system and that Toyota has asked NASA to review this problem. That says a lot about the complexity of automobile electronics in all makes of cars. I'm not sure the problem is restricted to Toyota. I drove Toyota Avalons for at least the last 15 years and never had a single problem. The dealer provided excellent service. Last August I bought a Nissan Maxima which is a very good car but the truth is I miss having a Toyota. I test drove the Prius and really wanted to like it. My problem was that I felt my vision was obstructed by the frame design especially to the rear of the car. Good luck with your choice of a new auto. There are other hybrids out there that look interesting. I was such a Toyota loyalist that I still hope they can get out of this mess, fix their problems and ensure the safety of all Toyota owners everywhere. I'll be interested in hearing which car you select.

I'm a Zack/Spock fan but I like them both. I hope Zach and Chris can be friends and not competitors. I would love to see them together in other movies as well as the next Star Trek. I also thought that sci fi did better than it ever has. Star Trek is well respected and might have done better in a less competitive year. Avatar was definitely honored and I think Star Trek would have had a better chance if they had not come out in the same year. I liked them both. I have not yet seen District 9 but still plan to.

I noticed the same thing and felt kind of sad that Zach wasn't there. I thought it was appropriate that he was shown when they mentioned Star Trek.

Thanks for your comments. I posted because it was Zach and Chris and I was glad they are still friends. I don't read or write fan fic so that was really all I wanted to know. It was only later that I looked at the expression on their faces and realized they did not look happy. That gave me pause. I am sure that this was leaving a pre-oscar hollywood party hosted by George Clooney's agent and have even seen film of multiple celebrities coming and going. Zach and Chris were leaving the party. To me that is public. However, I am going to go with your assessment that this one and anything that makes them unhappy is probably not a good posting choice. I have difficulty finding pictures and information about public events. I have tried even that site zach-quinto.net without much success. They did have a few nice pictures but nothing really about the event. I did eventually find a site that mentioned the Madonna meeting. That was funny and interesting even though not 100% reliable. At least it wasn't malicious, debauched or snarky.

I was so glad to hear the good news that you and your family are OK. Thank you for notifying us. I'm also glad you are still trying to contact Maria Jose. Hopefully she is OK too, but out of touch because the communications system is down. Thank God for your safety. I am saddened to hear of those in your country who were harmed or worse.
