Is chlorella safe to give your dog, your cat or other pets? Yes. But start slow and make sure there are no allergic reactions before you start to increase the dose. Remember that it is a whole food and not a medicine. A customer of mine was telling me that their pet mouse Maple really loves Chlorella. He turns his nose up at other food but when you give him a chlorella tablet he immediately grabs it and it's gone in a split second. He knows what's good for him. Our dog just gobbles up our chlorella and spirulina tabs.... Continue reading

Thought you might like some history about Chlorella. This piece is from Wikipedia and it’s interesting how Chlorella never took off as a food source way back then. I would think after so much positive research that it would at least have been widely available. But then, it’s not a patentable product like so many other superfoods that were discovered and later forgotten. Following global fears of an uncontrollable population boom, during the late 1940s and the early 1950s Chlorella was seen as a new and promising primary food source and as a possible solution to the then-current world hunger... Chlorella has a unique ability of binding to heavy metals healping to flush them from the body. Heavy metals are any metallic chemical element that is toxic or poisonous at low concentrations. Some examples include mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), chromium (Cr), and lead (Pb). These metals are such a problem for many folks these days. The reason they are dangerous is that they tend to accumulate in the tissues of the body causing harm to the body's delicate systems. Ordinarily a healthy body can excrete heavy metals before they reach toxic levels. But, with bad diets and increasing... Continue reading

If given a choice, most health concious people would choose an organic Chlorella over a non-organic one. Of course price factors into this as well. Organic products are usually more expensive than non-organic ones. Continue reading

Chlorella is not a vitamin, it is a wholefood that is approximately 60% protein. Not just any protein mind you, but a wonderfully complete protein suitable for building strong bodies. It's excellent for digestive disorders among other things. Here's an example from a customer of Chlorella Fella... "My fiancé and I both got into Chlorella about a year ago, and we have not stopped!" "Plain and simple, Chlorella has changed our lives. It is a constant staple in our everyday now. We plan on digesting it for years to come, and it makes us feel better in every aspect of... Did you know that over 10,000,000 Japanese take chlorella every day? I wonder why... Most Japanese people take their health very seriously and they have low disease rates compared to most other place in the world. Here are some of the many reasons why someone would want to continue taking this health supplement every day. 1. Chlorella helps to remove heavy metals and toxins from the body. Let's face it, the environment is badly polluted. The air, the water and food is full of toxins. We need a pure food like this to help clean out our systems. 2. Chlorella... Continue reading

Chlorella Growth Factor or CGF is the content that is extracted from the nucleus of the chlorella cell. Because of it's high nucleic acid content - RNA and DNA - it has excellent anti-aging properties. The compounds in Chlorella Growth Factor work to promote healthy cell growth and repair. CGF gives your cells the nutritional support they need to renew themselves and attain optimum condition. Scientists are frantically trying to isolate the key components of CGF in order to find the "one" factor that has a health giving effect on the body. Why do they want to do this? Money!... If you are wondering how to improve digestion then you should take a very good look at chlorella. I have seen chlorella handle long term digestion problems in a matter of a few days. It is also suitable for sick or elderly people. While it is not a probiotic, chlorella supports the growth of healthy bacteria in the intestine while at the same time suppressing the trouble makers. How does it improve digestion? Chlorella contains several nutrients that make it a master at controlling digestive difficulties. It's high quality enzymes, fiber and high chlorophyll content enable it too clean out... Continue reading

There are so many places that you can buy chlorella online these days. It's mind boggling! I really think the best place to buy it is online because it is more affordable because of lower costs, some companies offer free shipping (Chlorella Fella) and it is much more convenient. But you must know what to look for so you don't get stuck with contaminated chlorella. Know your source! Don't forget there ARE ripoffs online waiting for your money. Here are some tips so you get good quality chlorella: It must be broken or cracked cell chlorella. If they don't say... Continue reading

I get asked this on my site a lot. Where do I get the cheapest best quality chlorella? When it comes to high quality wholefood supplements you get what you pay for. There is no such thing as cheap and best quality and these two terms shouldn't be used in the same sentence. If it is cheap chlorella then there is a reason. Maybe it comes from some polluted lake in the middle of China somewhere. Who knows? What I do know is that reputable companies that make a superior quality chlorella go to great lengths to maintain the purity... Continue reading

There is no exact amount of Chlorella you should eat. You need to find a quantity that suits you and your body. Just remember though that it is not a drug, medicine or vitamin supplement. It is a wholefood health supplement that is packed with nutrients that the body needs for healthy growth. If you get a high quality Chlorella then it is quite safe to have reasonably large quantities without any adverse effects. I personally take about 40-50 grams per day and there are no problems. In fact it is pretty great ;) I always tell people to start... Continue reading

I get asked this a lot and I would have to say yes and no. Good quality Chlorella is good for you and bad quality Chlorella is not good for you. It all depends on how it is produced and what additives the manufacturer includes when making chlorella tablets. This is why I stress that you should not just look for cheap product. High quality broken cell Chlorella has a higher cost involved in production because of the technology involved. A good manufacturer grows Chlorella in a very clean, unpolluted environment. They grow it in tanks rather than harvesting from... Continue reading

I found that taking Chlorella before a workout gave me a very noticeable boost in energy and stamina. I found I could push myself harder without any negative effects. What really amazed me was the rapid recovery I experienced from the workout. I didn't have sore muscles. I wasn't worn out. I could have actually done another workout. Totally blew me away. I am convinced that Chlorella is an excellent workout recovery supplement. I think this is because of Chlorella's highly digestible, complete protein. Chlorella is approximately 60% protein. 100 grams will give you 60 grams of protein. This is... Continue reading

A cure for hemorrhoids is usually available over the counter. The easiest cure and best preventative measure is to eat plenty of fiber. This can be in the form of whole wheat grains, raw fruits and vegetables, and beans. Also, drink plenty of water. A minimum of eight glasses a day will help to prevent hemorrhoids. Exercise is very beneficial. Use the bathroom frequently and avoid straining if at all possible. Don't sit on the toilet any longer than necessary. This is also true of any activity. Don't sit or stand for too long as movement helps prevent hemorrhoids. Yet,... Continue reading

Hemorrhoids are something that people do not like to talk about. Yet more than 50% of Americans will suffer from this condition by the age of fifty. Symptoms of hemorrhoids include pain while sitting for a long time or rectal itching or bleeding during a bowel movement. Hemorrhoids may be caused by many things including stress and pregnancy. Yet this inflammation is rarely a cause of concern and may be treated at home if the case is mild enough. Continue reading

Hemorrhoids may be caused by a number of things, yet hemorrhoid treatment is often not difficult. No two people have the same problem so remedies will vary from person to person. Dietary changes may resolve the problem without intervention but not always. Some cases may involve just treating the symptoms, others will involve non-surgical techniques while severe cases may in fact require surgery. Continue reading
