Hi, Wonderful review with a very unbiased mindset. I think that food choices are so charged because people often feel they represent who they are--while i love food, and i love the Real Food Movement, I too make choices based not on ideology, but what is best for my family--I have a GREAT store by me called Best Yet market, and their produce aisle is amazing--the produce manager buys direct from farmers and local if he can find it, and that store consistently provides excellent produce far beyond what the earthbound organic mega company does. I agree with you on your decision, but i will purchase organic from a farmers market if it looks good because i like to support farmers markets and the use of organic practices... Please visit me at www.amoderatelife.blogspot.com/ and say hi! Signing up for your feed. Have a GREAT sunday!

I was at the game on sunday--WHAT a completely and utterly surreal experience...it felt like Bizarro world there at Fenway--everyone felt the team was going to win--and then--disaster... a number of things i think contributed to this--one--Aberhardt on the side of the angels--say what you will about beliefs, but when a team is rallying around a cause as human as that--i think they feel they can do anything-- Second major problem this year--the baseball classic--Dice-k was affected by it--the season went longer because of it--both Youk and Pedroia were minorly injured in it and played longer because of it...so, three of our players--could have reserved more "stuff" for this season if they hadnt played "playoff caliber" ball in march... When the sox got swept by CWS in 2005 i said it was their year--i feel the same way about the angels this year...just callin it as i feel it-- Here's lookin at the spring and new grass on the diamond! :)

"Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no." Figgins...a dead man...hunter...dead! we have been down 2-0 many times before--worse--lets see how sunday plays out! gonna be at the game--at UGH! 12 cause of CRAP TBS...rooting for the home team--since its my husbands birthday present, i do hope they WIN!!!!

Frank, I gotta disagree with you here--the WORST call is by Joe Buck--bar none--he should just start each game by saying--I am a red-sox-hater and i aint too sure about how to play baseball!

Yah! Glad to see V-mart back and hope all is well with his family--a happy family makes a happy ball player! Lets hope that Youks back feels better too and the sox can be back to firing on all cylinders~

I'm with ya on that one frank!!! :) Seriously though, is it just me, or do you hate to hear a red sox game called by a National Broadcast crew? its excruciating! i did the picture in picture and listed to orsillo instead and got the espn HD...a bit p.o.ed cause Boomer was calling the later game in SF and he does a great job with calling the games!

I absolutely adore A-gon, not only because we share a first name, but because he is the most consistent shortstop we have had in ages. While i love the idea that Lowrie is a homegrown boy, and green stepped up to the plate when needed at a position he was not groomed for--i LOVE the solidity of Gonzo's defense and his bat is a nice surprise too! As for Terry's comments being subdued about the confidence boost of this game, i think his response was more to subdue the stupid question asked by the reporter than anything else! Either way, last night was a very exciting game--looking forward to more good baseball into the post season and beyond!

From the FIRST day he came to boston---well, even before that with the unbelievable 50 mil just to chat with him--i have found dice-k EXCRUCIATING to watch...that said--you have to make DUE with what you got...and i wish him WELL in his first start after rehab...i will even bite my tongue at a 3-2 count!!!!

Seriously...i think its important to look at the overall situation and think...WHY GIVE AWAY the baby with the bathwater for ONE player???? the sox have been working their farm system amazingly well for years...look at pedroia, youkilis, buckholtz...etc. why give all that good jam away for one hot dog? plus...maybe its despondency at not getting traded, maybe its being worn out, but halladay aint lookin like he's in his heyday right now!

well...as i said to my husband, why the heck did they trade kotsay? i loved him...even if he was playing part time, he did his best for his team...and now he is doing his best for his team-which happens to be the whitesox... i love the red sox...but lately it seems like every player is trying to go for the longball...lets start playing small ball and do our best with the basehits and see what happens! Additionally=-i have noticed this alot--when a team seems to be "out of contention," the sox dont seem to give them respect, and expect to win...this is why we play EVERY GAME...and the sox should play EVERY GAME like its their last!!!!

ok...lets get a number of "medical" things clear here...if Papi tested "positive" for some "UNNAMED" and UNBANNED substance in 2003, and has since tested negative EVERY SINGLE time he has been tested including a number of more stringent tests to participate in the WBC then Papi is NOT a steroid user and any effects of taking steroids (if indeed they were steroids, it has not even been determined that that was the substance--heck, it could have been COLD MEDICINE!!!)...have long left his system... Frankly, what i find more disturbing than any alleged use of steroids by Papi or any other major league baseball player during the "steroid era", is the fact that ANONYMOUS and CONFIDENTIAL names are being leaked one by one from "unnamed sources" for the benefit of who????? Seriously--WHEN they find out who is doing the leaking, i hope they get put in jail.

yes paul--you are right about that! :) But i will watch a yankees game hoping they LOSE if nothing else is on tv--cause i love baseball that much--and if their winning benefits the sox GREAT--i will watch to see the outcome but i aint rooting for AROD to hit an A-BOMB...lol

Can ANYONE tell me another pitcher in any major league baseball team that is as BABIED as Jaba Chamberlain???? Can anyone tell me why such a POOR performer and inconsistent pitcher is BABIED like Jaba Chamberlain??? I would take Justin Masterson with a broken pinky over Jaba on my team anyday!

Sox winning record for august was the BEST in baseball....remember that boys... I had no doubt about Byrd--have always loved his heart--no doubt about wagner either--having lived in new york my whole live and being born a mets fan (i married into red sox nation--never was a yankees fan--i SWEAR!!!) i have seen wagner pitch plenty of awesome saves at shea..sadly, none at citi-field--but it was GREAT to be at the game on saturday early to watch him warm up with the whole pitching staff...he seemed friendly--signing autographs for fans in the stands...i was just sad byrd wasnt with the team yet! Nice rest day tomorrow then time to kick ass and take names the rest of the way!

Yah, Yah, Yah!!! i have ALWAYS loved this guy--welcome back to the sox and lets hope he continues to be an asset to the team~!

I always LOVED paul byrd--he might not be flashy, but he has amazing heart--we saw both games friday and saturday this weekend--and the team looked great--other than a disappointing start for beckett on friday, but the sox still pulled it out...it topped my weekend off listening to WEEI call the game on sunday and hear Byrds GREAT interview after the game...when i read he was coming back, i jumped up and down! :) After hearing about Dice-k's abyssmal sea dog outting--lets home byrd keeps on flying HIGH! :)

you got it Bmor....it hard to put up with the yankee FANS in NY when you are a sox fan--worse than that--my daughter's boyfriend is a yankees fan! and she can talk baseball smack with the best of them! Our house is now officially a NO COMMENT zone when it comes to baseball or we would have world war three!!!

Watching the Yanks/Rangers right now cause I suffer from being a part of the Red Sox Nation the lives in New York, and it feels weird to root for the Yankees. It kind of makes me nauseous! Here's hoping that Tazawa dunks Danks tonight and the bats stay hot! A win tonight would set up this weekend versus Toronto, for which I have tickets to two games, quite nicely!

its funny this article came out today--we were just talking about how Pedey is the poster child for never give up and never listen to people who tell you you cant do something...on paper, looking at his specs--his swing, etc. you would never think he could possibly be MLB caliber--let alone rookie of the year and MVP consecutively--i think he has WAY more heart than cano too...
