NEW BOOTH - LOVE LOVE
Shelley and I continue to be excited about our move to Hello Sailor in the West Bottoms. I mentioned that we have worked very hard preparing for our first weekend in our new home. Which is Friday by the way! But I do have to give a big thanks to Shelley, who has been by my side since my hip replacement surgery, and this is not too long after she had surgery herself. But on instructions from our doctors, that neither of us could lift anything, and seeing how I was still using a cane to walk, I reached out... Continue reading

Meet Ben! As a child Ben was always the kind of kid that observed his surroundings, the wheels turning in his head as he took it all in. At 2 years of age, his mother Ann, told me he was correcting her driving skills and reminding her to come to a complete stop at stop signs! Something that kept her on her toes. As soon as Ben could sit in a high chair, Ann would cover his tray in paper bags and give him crayons. At the age of three he knew how to write all of his numbers! A... Continue reading

Wow....what a hot weekend we had here in Missouri. That did not stop the turnout at our Third Annual Junk Expo--each year the results continue to grow! We had a blast as usual. We also worked really, really hard. A special shout out to Molly, who helped pack, carry and set-up a lot of J U N K. She was a real trooper. And as always...Louise....for letting us hold this event each year on the family farm. She is a trooper as well. She spends a lot more prep time on this event then we do it seems, getting every... red truCK treasures had another good First Friday Weekend in the West Bottoms. All the stores were filled with customers, both browsing and buying. There was not a parking spot to be found! Pete N' Repeat Repurposed hosted a Vintage Fashion Show on Friday night while local KC artists were on hand sharing their amazing work. Proceeds from some of Friday's sales and a silent auction benefited the Jordan's Hope Fund to help children who suffer from SMA! All in all it was a great weekend. Meet Barb! Barb is one of our vendors on the 4th Floor that uses her skills and creativity to fill up her charming booth. Her appreciation of art began when she was a child growing up on the farm. Barb often found herself playing dress up and dreaming of decorating when friends came to play. She also enjoyed helping her mother rearrange the furniture, helping create new looks in their farmhouse. Like many of us, Barb has also had times of sorrow in her life. It was after losing both parents and experiencing personal health issues, that she felt a... Continue reading

UNLIKE most of us, Lani also has a life people only dream about! She has taken her hobby, her passion, her dreams, and turned them in to an adventure! Lani is a local photographer that has made the most out her hobby and passion. After being told she had a “good eye”, Lani made the decision to try portrait photography. Weekend ReCap
Wow, what a weekend! Shelley and I enjoyed our time together immensely. Shopping, eating, working! It seems we get to spend less and less time together now that both booths are taking up so much of our time. So when we have the opportunity to be together we make the most of it. Saturday was slotted for our photo shoot for an article in a local magazine featuring red truCK treasures in April. We will be featured in their family section. The photographer was fantastic, and specifically photographed pictures that told the story of our family. I guess you could... Continue reading

Wouldn't it be fun to have a vignette of nothing of repurposed items? Since repurposed is in the name of the wonderful store we are in...Pete N' Repeat Repurposed? I found this wonderful link from a Facebook friend. It has some really neat things. We could each take one of these ideas and repurpose and have an Repurposed Vignette. Just and idea! Here is the link, and a few pics from it. Lights! Mirrors! Guitar Picks! http://www.viralnova.com/upcycled-products/ Continue reading

Back in the Swing
Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks! A week in Phoenix - which was quite fun and relaxing I might add, and a week back in the office trying to play catch-up, and 2 Saturdays at Pete N' Repeat Repurposed! While the week in Phoenix was actually amazing, I did find myself without internet acces. It is hard to explain how lost I was without it, but also how nice it was not 'checking" things every 5 minutes, or playing Candy Crush the minute I had a new life. I just felt as if everything was off sync. Maybe the... Continue reading

Fabulous Find
Today's Fabulous Find comes from one of Pete N' Repeat Repurposed's customers, Slyvia. Sylvia came to the 4th floor in search of a desk. She had recently ran across an article, or perhaps seen on Pinterest, closets renovated into a small office space or work area. After her stroll through the booths she came across this little gem. A writing desk painted a Chartruse. Slyvia pulled out her measuring tape and determine that it would be a good fit for her renovaation. We discussed how cute it was, and although she thought the color was nice, it just wans't what... Continue reading
